Max997 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 trade bait. really, trade bait? and what do you think they can get for him? if you think its anything more then a 3rd you're nuts and thats even pushing it there is no reason to trade him when they would just have to draft another RB in the draft anyway so why create another hole on this team that they dont need to especially when they wouldnt get a high pick in return

/dev/null Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Shiv the mofo Considering the price of gold, I'd also steal his fillings

sharper802 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Lynch has proven himself to be a complete dud after coming off his suspension. Clearly has physical skills yet lacks one or more of the following: vision, burst, decisionmaking, ability to get onto the hips of his offensive linemen. Freddie is clearly superior at getting more out of every play. Yet you need a decent 2nd back. Do you try to bait another team into giving up something decent in return for his "promise", or just resign yourself to having him as your #2 back until his next suspension? Can he be coached up for next year? Curious what ya'll think. Put more than a High School quality o-line in front of him
Paup 1995MVP Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Keep him. He hasn't had a particularly good year, but he's only 23, has no serious injury history and has been pretty productive in previous years. If you trade him, you'll just have to draft someone else fairly high in order to replace him and probably won't receive much net value at all when all is said and done. No reason to draft a running back high up. We need to draft O and D lineman and linebackers my friend. With a good O line we can find a bunch of street free agents to get the job done at RB. Look at Mike Bell and Pierre Thomas. Neither of them was a high round draft pick, and they have run real well for the Saints. Marshawn is doing nothing for us, but than again neither is anyone else on offense except for Freddy. I would get rid of everyone on offense except for Fred if their are takers, even Lee. The O is THAT BAD!!
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Maybe we can fleece the Ravens again The Bills got Trent Edwards and C.J. Ah You. Fleecing?
Las Vegas Calling... Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 You attempt to trade him before he is involved in another gang banger wannabe incident, car wreak, hit and run, or whatever stupid thing he has planned for his off-season. The way he is going, he will be in jail with Travis Henry.
drg2021 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 The Bills got Trent Edwards and C.J. Ah You. Fleecing? 2 thirds and a 7th for magayhee was outright fleecing
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 trade him and get extra picks, use the picks to help the trenches..... we can draft a #2 rb in rd 6 or 7
TheChimp Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Give him a bag of hash and tell him to have fun with his posse. Sheee-it, after this season, I wanna go to THAT party. And hash sorta sticks to baggies, FYI. It stores better in foil.
Pete Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 We could of chose Darrelle Revis or Jon Beason over Lynch. That is why you always select best player available IMO
apuszczalowski Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Why stop there? Why not deal Freddy too, he might get some better picks to use on the line, then the Bills can draft a bunch of O & D linemen, start all rookies at those spots, and then just go out and get some guys off the street to play RB. Its been proven that anyone can play RB, and really, if you actually look, Freddy isn't all that special compared to other RB's in the league, he is only talked about and looked highly on cause of the route he took to get to the NFL The Bills should just cut everyone and draft a new team this year. I'm sure that will be the quickest way back into the playoffs and its not like the Bills have any players worth keeping
BillsNYC Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Sing with me "What do you do with a problem like Mar-Shawn?" Anybody else watching Sound of Music?
/dev/null Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Anybody else watching Sound of Music? Umm, no
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Sing with me"What do you do with a problem like Mar-Shawn?" Anybody else watching Sound of Music? how about Julie Andrews as the starting tailback in 2010?
apuszczalowski Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 how about Julie Andrews as the starting tailback in 2010? Didn't you know, she would do better then marshawn

Can he be coached up for next year? Curious what ya'll think. Let him play out his contract? I mean, as a repeat offender he has no trade value. He's still a useful back. RB's are a dime-a-dozen but at least it's not another hole to fill.
Lofton80 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Keep him for another year. If he stays out of trouble for one offseason, he might have trade value after the 2010 season. The concept of getting picks for some of these vets is not a bad idea just not sure a lot of buyers will burn the picks.
Offside Number 76 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 TRY to trade him ,yes. But you're kidding yourself about a 2nd or 3rd for this clown. If there are ANY takers. Why trade a pick if the Bills may just cut him anyway? ML brings very little to the table, and is a below average back right now. We need two backs, but you may as well draft a mid round guy for that role. Cut Lynch if a draft choice isn't obtainable, but i think it's more like a 4th or 5th at this point. Well, the Bills shouldn't cut him; they can keep him if there's not a solid deal around. And I'll bet there's a patsy out there that will pay up a 2d or 3d for Lynch. (Probably a 3d.) What did we see Chicago do this past offseason? As for those who think he's hampered by the line, well, Jackson runs behind the same line. Tries harder. Runs better. Has a running style that fits what this team can give him. Doesn't embarrass the team with his off-season sh*t. Lynch is hardly a zero, but in a two-back system like almost every team uses today, he's unnecessary for this team and has trade value--and this team has needs to fill. Move him out.
