The Big Cat Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 QB- No clue. HB1- Jackson HB1A- Lynch WR- Evans WR- No clue. Best FA, or Johnson, or Hardy TE- Nelson LT- Best FA/Draft available LG- Levitre C- Incognito RG- Wood RT- Butler --------------- DT- Williams DT- Stroud DE- Kelsay DE- Schobel MLB- Poz SOLB- Best FA/Draft available WOLB- Harris SS- Scott FS- Byrd Needs: LT, QB, SOLB My favorites for QB: We need to pick up a vet but for rookies: LeFevour or Pike (both should be available in the second round) For SOLB: People are excited about McClain, but I don't see a lot of speed from him. Am I wrong about this? Who else should be available in draft/FA? I don't pretend to know anything about LT prospects, rookies or otherwise. Most notable omissions: Whitner, Mitchell, Schouman, Ellison

KD in CA Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 DT- WilliamsDT- Stroud DE- Kelsay DE- Schobel MLB- Poz SOLB- Best FA/Draft available WOLB- Harris So I see the Bills will have the worse run defense again in 2010. Great.
The Big Cat Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 So I see the Bills will have the worse run defense again in 2010. Great. I personally don't think the problem is up front. It's the linebackers.
The Big Cat Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 Good but lets assume Wood not ready until at least mid season. Bell Levitre Incognito Butler Meredith more likely There's nothing to suggest he won't be ready by TC.
The Big Cat Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 Incognito at C? Could you elaborate as to why this is so funny? He took some reps at center for St. Louis. If not him, then Wood. Switch them if you like.
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Could you elaborate as to why this is so funny? He took some reps at center for St. Louis. If not him, then Wood. Switch them if you like. The irony. Replace a guy that scored a gazillion on the Wonderlic and was coveted for his genius with a guy that is certifiable and flips into 'roid rage every other minute. (FWIW, Incognito is a free agent in 3 games and Hangartner is still under contract. So, odds are completely against you on this.) The 9 man defense is pretty innovative stuff too, dude.

You make good points. I'd rather Wood be there, personally. But I don't know if he'll be wizened enough by then. Here's hoping. As for the omission of CB's, good catch. CB1: McGee CB2: McKelvin NICK:Florence
Ramius Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Sorry. You lost me when you have only 1 replacement in the front 7 on defense. But, i now understand why you liked dick jauron so much. You think exactly like him, because that lineup is the type of cockamamie thing he'd think up. Your lineup is great if the goal is to extend the non-playoff streak to 11 seasons next year.
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 There's nothing to suggest he won't be ready by TC. LT-1st Round Pick LG- Levitre C - Hangartner RG- Incognito (Wood if healthy, i've seen nothing to suggest he would be ready by TC) RT - Butler Free agency has quite a few good OLBs, even without a new CBA, would not be surprised if one is brought from there. What did you do with Mitchell?
zazie Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 There's nothing to suggest he won't be ready by TC. look at the tape. There is plenty to suggest, he will not be ready to go by the start of next season.

What did you do with Mitchell? Hahaha, why do you guys seem to think that Wood is not going to play next season? Seriously, what a joke that is. He broke his leg. That is all. Sorry to break the news to you guys, but I bet all leg breaks look like the real McCoy in slow motion... Otherwise the leg wouldn't break. Any orthopedic surgeon will confidently remind you that because Wood isn't a child, and surgery can be performed, he'll be up to speed with a full offseason of physical therapy. Leg breaks look a lot worse than they really are. Wood will, without question, be back next season.
vincec Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 So I see the Bills will have the worse run defense again in 2010. Great. +1. The Bills LBs better not be Harris, Poz and a rookie draft pick...

Your lineup is great if the goal is to extend the non-playoff streak to 11 seasons next year. This all assuming we keep the 4-3, but I maintain that playing the likes of Chris Draft, John Corto, Marcus Buggs, Ashlee Palmer, Todd Johnson, and Bryon Scott has had MUCH more to do with our ****ty run defense than what's going on between Kelsay and Schobel. Not to mention the lopsided TOP we're consistently on the wrong end of.
