Mark Vader Posted December 17, 2009 Share Posted December 17, 2009 The Globes showed a lot of love for Glee, giving it 3 nominations. Courtney Cox getting a nomination for Cougar Town? The Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Mini-Series, or Movie category is a very tough call. You could make a case for any one of them. Meryl Streep gets 2 nominations for comedy roles? District 9 getting a screenplay nomination is awesome. Sadly it will not win. Carey Mulligan & Gabourey Sidibe are newcomers and have gotten rave reviews, but can either one of them win? Sandra Bullock gets a nomination in both comedy and drama categories, is that as good as it will get? In Best Actor Movie-Drama, George Clooney has the hype, but Jeff Bridges could steal his thunder. Inglorious Basterds is a drama? Avatar getting a best picture-drama nod is most intriguing. Clint Eastwood gets a best director nomination, but Invictus does not get best picture-drama.
