/dev/null Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 http://www.moviefone.com/golden-globes/nominee-winner Normally I don't give a rats ass about this kind of stuff and I have no plans on watching the ceremony nor caring who wins. But... WTF? They didn't even nominate Sons of Anarchy for Best Television Series, Drama Bull
Mark Vader Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 The Globes showed a lot of love for Glee, giving it 3 nominations. Courtney Cox getting a nomination for Cougar Town? The Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Mini-Series, or Movie category is a very tough call. You could make a case for any one of them. Meryl Streep gets 2 nominations for comedy roles? District 9 getting a screenplay nomination is awesome. Sadly it will not win. Carey Mulligan & Gabourey Sidibe are newcomers and have gotten rave reviews, but can either one of them win? Sandra Bullock gets a nomination in both comedy and drama categories, is that as good as it will get? In Best Actor Movie-Drama, George Clooney has the hype, but Jeff Bridges could steal his thunder. Inglorious Basterds is a drama? Avatar getting a best picture-drama nod is most intriguing. Clint Eastwood gets a best director nomination, but Invictus does not get best picture-drama. Up in the Air has the hype with 6 nominations. Will people remember how good The Hurt Locker is?
ajzepp Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I tell you which one of those categories should be a landslide, and that's Cristoph Waltz for best supporting role in Inglorious Basterds. That was one of the absolute best performances I've seen on the big screen EVER. Absolutely fantastic job.
Mark Vader Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Why is Rose Byrne nominated for Supporting Actress in Damages, and not Lead Actress? She is the main character, not Glenn Close.
