Jay4481
....apparently with the injury to Gradkowski, Davis wanted to add a veteran QB to the roster. Oh well, I wish him the best.
rackemrack
he probably played on a better team in vegas...

/dev/null
Congrats JP! He may actually be better than Jamarcus Russell! He is much better than Jamarcus Russell, but that's not saying much Doubt he'll play this year unless both Russell and Charlie Frye get hurt

KD in CA
Congrats JP! He may actually be better than Jamarcus Russell! Ryan Leaf was better than Jamarcus Russell. He's actually got a chance to start in Oakland.

Congrads JP, good for you, just kinda wish it would have been another team besides the Raiders.
/dev/null
He's actually got a chance to start in Oakland. There's only 3 games left in the season. JP will be the inactive emergency QB
C.Biscuit97
That's just what the Raiders needed. Another big arm, terrible sack taking, turnover prone QB. It's pretty sad when Losman is probably the celebral QB. Oh well, good luck to him and he did manage to get himself back in the league.
Rico
Maybe Fassel will follow him... what a strange twist of fate!
KD in CA
There's only 3 games left in the season. JP will be the inactive emergency QB Only if the Raiders are not yet willing to admit to the biggest draft bust of the decade. Which they probably aren't! But I'd think he'll have a chance to compete in camp next summer.
scoring is not hardy
poor guy. Who's he going to sign with next, Detroit?
Alphadawg7
Thats actually about the best place he could have gone. The Raiders have some young up and coming WR's (especially Murphy) and really good TE, and a stable of RB's (Bush should start though). More importanly, the QB's blow on that team and Davis loves big arms, so he has a real shot of becoming the starter again next year. Whether he succeeds there is a totally different story, but given the lack of QB talent on that team that was probably about the best place he could go if he wants a chance to start again in the near future. /dev/null
Only if the Raiders are not yet willing to admit to the biggest draft bust of the decade. Which they probably aren't! They aren't. Russell started 9 games before pulling him. Plus the Raiders still have Charlie Frye And please take off the JP blinders for a second before answering the following question. There's 3 games left in the season and you just signed a 1st round bust QB who doesn't know your playbook. You also have another 1st round bust QB and a career backup who both already know your playbook. Who do you start? But I'd think he'll have a chance to compete in camp next summer. I don't. The Raiders will either draft somebody or stick with their own 1st round bust and bring back Gradkowski
