nmas3 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 So FA's that are interesting: Per KFFL: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl Mike Klis, of The Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall, QB Kyle Orton, LB Elvis Dumervil, OG Chris Kuper and TE Tony Scheffler are prospective free agents in the offseason and the team will have a difficult time figuring out how to allocate the millions of dollars needed to bring them all back.
CountDorkula Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Number 1 priority should be Marshall. The kid is a freak of nature. 21 catches thats half of our leading receivers total for the year.
nmas3 Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 I would not mind at all but I was interested in Dumervil and Kuper.
thebandit27 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Except that--absent a new CBA prior to March 1st--those guys will all be RESTRICTED free agents; easily retained with a tender offer of ~$2M/year. Assuming that's what Denver does, it would cost Buffalo a 1st and 3rd round draft pick for each of those players. Seems like it would have been easier to just draft Dumervil in 2006 instead of Ko Simpson. But hey, nobody wants a 5'11" DE, even if he did have 20 sacks as a Senior.

Marshall is insanely talented, but the Bills have proven this year that there is no point in bringing WR talent to Buffalo until they get a QB and fix the OL.

nucci Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 We are more than set at Guard Please explain. Wood and Butler coming off serious injuries.

They can only franchise one. My guess is Dumervil. Good pass rushers are harder to come by than good WR. I'd imagine they'll try hard to lock up both Marshall and Dumervil before season's end. Or at least one and franchise the other. Definately something to keep an eye on though.

Let the other teams go after midget players, and congrats to them if they get lucky on one.
CountDorkula Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 What this guy said. I was getting at the point of, if the Broncos let this guy go it will be thie biggest melt down in Denver since the retirement of Elway. The fans will be calling for the coaches head. No way do i think the Bills even look at this guy.
