coldstorage5 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 At least we got Byrd, leads league http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_...09/seasontype/2 Its nice when a top picks helps us, and developes into a top player,.... likein the late 80's, early 90's
bills_red Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 good thing he was on the pro-bowl ballot........
Wooderson Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I wonder why he's listed as a CB? I know he was in college, but he plays S in the NFL.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Yes, but Orokpo had 4 sacks yesterday...4 SACKS!!! PTR
The Big Cat Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Incredibly. the single season INT record (12) was set by a rookie. Can he get 3 or 4 more to match both the rookie and NFL records?

K-9 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 His numbers are more impressive in light of his limited playing time early on and, more astonishingly, he's getting them while playing on the worst RUN defense in the league. Where are all those that decried the draft pick when we took him? I remember a TON of whining on this board at the time. GO BILLS!!!
silvermike Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 The Bills also, as a team, lead the league in INTs. Imagine if we had a pass rush!
RTW2012 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 The single season record is 14. Just get 2 per game and he's got the record!
Maefster88 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 INT's sometimes can really be a fluke stat, there is an above average chance that Byrdman will never record as many picks in a single season as he has this year, having said that.. (Curb your enthusiasm reference) he has been a great draft pick so far and appears to be someone we can pencil in for years to come.
Lori Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 he is. jw He is? Why, so he is: http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 He is? Why, so he is: http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot He'll wind up in Pro Bowl and not start ahead of Witner on this team. Go figure our coaches...
Delete This Account Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 He is? Why, so he is: http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot i was planning to do a piece on maybe it's time to write-in Byrd, but the NFL apparently elected to add him. i'm trying to pin down when Byrd was added to the list: anybody seem to know? jw
JauronGone Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Yes, but Orokpo had 4 sacks yesterday...4 SACKS!!! PTR I'd still take Byrd over Orokpo

(Never got a reply, of course.) Maybe someone mentioned it here? And so they did, in this thread posted on Nov. 26: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=102264

gobillsinytown Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 He'll wind up in Pro Bowl and not start ahead of Witner on this team. Go figure our coaches... There is an advantage in not starting him. He stays fresh, and it gives him a chance to do what he does best: ballhawk. I haven't seen too many Bills' games this year, but he seems to have an instinct as to where the QB is going with the ball. That can't be taught, and let's hope increased playing time on running downs doesn't detract from his performance.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 The Bills also, as a team, lead the league in INTs. Imagine if we had a pass rush! or a run defense
