JuanGuzman Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I had the game PVR'd and was fascinated by Mike Williams play. He looked like a solid to strong RG for the redskins. Solid in the run game, excellent in pass protection and made a few athletic plays when he was asked to pull. too bad that fat bastard didn't have the work ethic in Buffalo.

Too bad they picked him at #4. Too bad he wasn't a worker. Too bad he was 400+. Too bad he allegedly never played hurt. Too bad he couldn't play guard when the Bills switched him to G. Too bad he played soccer as a kid and not football. Too bad he was a Bills fan b/c he played them on Tecmo Bowl or early Maddens. Too bad Mularkey fined him in training camp. Too bad he didn't show up on time for training camp. Too bad he's now a journeyman and will never amount to anything more.

Big Turk Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 it was more depressing to watch Suisam of the Redskins...err formerly of the Redskins---they just cut him today, miss a 23 yard field goal...

NewHampshireBillsFan Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 There tends to be a depressing theme with long time losing teams like the Bills and somewhat talented but underachieving players. Losing teams like the Bills tend to a have a string of 2nd class coaches that the players don't really respect or fear and the overall attitude on the team is not up to snuff (Kelly saying that he couldn't tell on a Monday in the locker room for the current team if they lost or won based on the mood in the locker room). The theme is players that don't feel like working hard don't, sometimes are cut, and then come back with other teams where they are willing to work. Or they stay on the team but never play up to their potential. Stuff like this doesn't seem to happen on elite teams. Players are afraid to goof off.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 too bad they didn't draft Mount McKinnie
justnzane Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 too bad they didn't draft Mount McKinnie no the bills would have somehow !@#$ed that up. The Bills problem isn't who they draft, It is how they develop talent. Especially, on the offensive side of the ball. The only offensieve players the Bills have drafted this decade that have made a big impact on our team or another are: Henry McBadknee Sammy Morris and Evans I chose to exclude Losman's UFL "achievements" as well as Roscoe's "special" achievements, and Peters because he wasn't drafted. So, 4 players in 10 drafts with 3 of them in the same position is not getting it done as far as talent development goes. IT is the scouts job to identify good players coming out of the draft and the coaches job to develop those talents. As much as we hammered on Killdrive on this board, he has done a good job of running the ball more and developing Eli Manning over in New Jersey(A).

So you saw him play a nice game in a 6 year career and now you mourn what might have been.......with Mike Williams? He's a legit bust, any way you slice him.
dib Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Did you ever notice how many ex-Buffalo players, regardless of the sport, shine after leaving Buffalo?
bizell Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 too bad they didn't draft Mount McKinnie mckinnie hasn't lived up to his draft position, either. he's been decent, but nothing spectacular especially considering how much he's making.
MarkyMannn Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 mckinnie hasn't lived up to his draft position, either. he's been decent, but nothing spectacular especially considering how much he's making. That's right! He is nothing special either

He made tens of millions of dollars here. He is laughing all the way to the bank. Too bad
CodeMonkey Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 too bad that not so fat and lazy anymore bastard didn't have the work ethic in Buffalo. Fixed.

The guy has blown ass all year. The only reason he is even on the field is due to injuries. He was playing tackle, but was getting absolutely destroyed, so they moved him inside.

I'm convinced this franchise needs an exorcism done at the 50-yard line... with Scott Norwood, Ronnie Harmon and Booth Lusteg overseeing the proceedings.
C.Biscuit97 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 mckinnie hasn't lived up to his draft position, either. he's been decent, but nothing spectacular especially considering how much he's making. And he plays next to one of the best guards in the NFL. This is one chance where you can't blame the Bills at all. They did everything right and MW screwed them. I can respect his comeback if he came back for the right reasons but there will always be some doubt in my mind that's it's not motivated by other factors. But either way, the Skins still suck.

On Monday, Dan Patrick (via Rick Alonzo of the St. Paul Pioneer Press) shared an interesting tidbit regarding one of the age-old techniques for securing an advantage in football. Patrick said that former NFL tackle Tony Boselli, who was working the game for Westwood One radio as a sideline reporter, pointed out that the Cardinals knew when a pass was coming from the Vikings because of the manner in which left tackle Bryant McKinnie would line up prior to the snap. Specifically, McKinnie puts one of his legs in a different position when preparing to pass block.
Big Turk Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 too bad they didn't draft Mount McKinnie McKinnie has been a slightly above average LT himself...nothing special...if we picked him, we would be complaining the Bills chose a guy that had the talent level of a 3rd or 4th rounder...
