Revenue sharing is history in the NFL

Are you kidding? You've just described about every Cowboy fan I know, as well as a good chunk of Dolphin fans.

Not to mention the 'I loved player X in college when I was a teenager and followed them to the pros and rooted for that team ever since'.

Who is this player"X"you speak of?

Ralph pocketed $39 million last year and losing out (potentially) on lining his bank account with another $8 million is going to ruin the NFL?

WTF????

Who gets this money----is it supposed to help the "small market" teams, as some (erroneously) claim? Look at the margins of these teams last year: Buffalo $39 mil, KC $52 mil, Jax $27 mil, GB $20 mil, Tampa $69 (!) mil, Cincy $35 mil........

Or is it for the "low revenue" teams-----like those big market towns Detroit, Atlanta, SF, Oakland. Should they get the welfare checks? 3 of those 4 big market teams cleared at least 18 million last year.

Look at the overall NFL team performance last year--only 2 teams lost money and only 2 other teams cleared less than $10 million. Maybe as so many more teams start doing well financially, they are not as excited about sharing with the rest.

Funny how "revenue sharing" sounds so much less attractive when it's your revenue that's being shared.

The vast majority of every team's budget is covered by the $120 million from the NFL via the TV money. That's never going to change.

This is a massive nonissue.
