Beerball Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Looks very intriguing...to me at least Before the glory that was Greece and Rome, even before the first cities of Mesopotamia or temples along the Nile, there lived in the Lower Danube Valley and the Balkan foothills people who were ahead of their time in art, technology and long-distance trade.
olivier in france Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Looks very intriguing...to me at least very interesting... it's nice to see slowly the rehabilitation of "barbarian" non mediterranean european old cultures like this one or the Celts in the West. Makes me think about the "iceman" they found in an Alps glacier a few years ago. They were amazed about what he wore, different objects proving there was long distance trade in those early days of Europe.
