BuffaloBill Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 That's how I am....I drink a SHITLOAD during a meal. So you can unload your load after the meal?
Pete Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The only time I ever drink Coke is a splash with some bourbon. Coke will get you fatter quicker then anything. My dentist told me there was a quarter cup sugar in a can of coke
Jerry Christ Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 its pretty easy, did it like 11 yrs ago. I drink water, or water with lemon juice or just a slice of lemon
Pete Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=91598 damn you. I have not clicked on that thread until your link
Chef Jim Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I switched to sparkling water a few years ago.
HopsGuy Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 That's how I am....I drink a LOAD during a meal. What is this, "Two Nurses, One Cup?" Hey, is this thing on?
The Poojer Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 people struggle to not do alot of things.....may seem like a non-issue to some, but others its a big struggle....much like overeating, taking drugs etc...everyone has their 'demons' to fight...... Do people really "struggle" to not drink soda?
erynthered Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Do people really "struggle" to not drink soda? At least some larger folks order a diet soda to go along with their four cheese burgers and three large orders of fry's. Make sense, no?
Fezmid Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Do people really "struggle" to not drink soda? Lots of people are addicted to caffeine. Coffee and pop (not soda... ) are the main culprits.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 At least some larger folks order a diet soda to go along with their four cheese burgers and three large orders of fry's. Make sense, no? Isn't that the truth. "Gimme 2 Big Mac's, Large fry, apple pie, oh they're 2 for a dollar?, I'll take two, and a hot fudge sundae. Oh yeah, and a large diet coke."
GoodBye Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Lots of people are addicted to caffeine. Coffee and pop (not soda... ) are the main culprits. Mmmmmm coffeeeeee I don't drink a lot of soda but I'm happy with coffee in the morning and water t/o the day.
Chef Jim Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Lots of people are addicted to caffeine. Coffee and pop (not soda... ) are the main culprits. You know how you break your addiction to caffeine? Stop drinking it.
Fezmid Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 You know how you break your addiction to caffeine? Stop drinking it. And Scott asked whether people actually "struggle" to not drink it - the answer, as is the case with any addition, is YES.
Chef Jim Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 And Scott asked whether people actually "struggle" to not drink it - the answer, as is the case with any addition, is YES. They maybe I should change that from don't drink it to don't buy it. You can't drink soda/coffee if you don't have any in the house. When I was quitting drinking booze we didn't have any in the house. It was a tough couple of weeks but I made it through.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Lots of people are addicted to caffeine. Coffee and pop (not soda... ) are the main culprits. Soda is vice for me and probably why I pack on the extra 20 pounds. Yet, it doesn't have to be caffeinated, I can goes weeks without caffeine. Me it is just a habit and it is cheap... One can pick up a 2 litre for a buck. I still think abusing soda it is better than alcohol. Unfortunately, they have opposites effects on one's weight. Of course everything in moderation!
thebug Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 You know how you break your addiction to caffeine? Stop drinking it. Man you are in the wrong business, you should be an addiction counselor.

Of course everything in moderation! That's interesting, cause Im the exact opposite. I purposely won't buy a particular soda if there's no caffeine lol
DCbillsfan Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Do people really "struggle" to not drink soda? Yes. People drink soda/diet soda for the sugar/caffeine rush to wake them up. It becomes a bad habit. I'm one of them. A few months ago, I started using crystal light with water to cut down on soda. Not totally weaned off soda but getting close.
