Tsaikotic Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 was wondering if anyone out there could explain how the Colts clinched their division with a 11 - 0 record and the next team down being 6 - 5, but the saints did not??...saints are also sitting at 11 - 0 with the Falcons sitting at 6 - 5 same way as the colts division...shouldn't the saints also have clinched??..just wondering why I guess.

The tiebreak is probably not yet in the Saints favor...
pkwwjd Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 if Atlanta wins out, Saints lose out ... head to head is 1-1, and the Falcons win by the divisional tiebreaker, 4-2 against 3-3
Tsaikotic Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 ah ok...thx guys..didn't think about that...
ieatcrayonz Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 The tiebreak is probably not yet in the Saints favor... The Saints have put themselves in a bad tie breaker position by beating the Jets, Bills, Pats and Dolphins. It probably won't come back to bite them in this case but it could.
