The student told investigators that some of his sexual contact with Peck was at her home and some of it was at in a secluded rural place near Fiddler's Ford in Dade County. The student told detectives that the affair started with text messages during the last Christmas break and progressed from there. I can't believe somebody hasn't pointed that out yet. Somewhere along the road, 'we the people' decided people -and for the most part females- under 18 can't reckon sexual behavior safely.. The 17 yr. old in the WNY article could face rape charges with a consenting 14 yr. old, but the 17 yr. old consenting male gets 'raped' by a 24 yr. female?? We try 10 yr. olds as adults in other serious crimes, but 'they didn't know what they were doing' when it comes to sexual urges?
