MaineMoxie Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Holy cr@p. It's been 8 years since Terrell Davis retired??? Man, time flies.

It seems like Rice and Emmit retired a lot longer than 5 years ago. Reed should be in and he will get in eventually. As for Tasker, we Bills fans are biased, but if you actually saw the way he impacted games, he has to get in. The mere fact that a special teamer has made it this far in a few years is amazing in and of itself, but he has to get in if the HOF isn't a joke.
Pozitive51 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 On NFL network earlier today, Rod Woodson profiled Tim Brown, Cris Carter and Andre Reed. When asked which WR deserved to be in the HOF first his answer was Andre. This will not get #83 into Canton.... but it says alot.
KRC Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 So they're trying to say that 6 players drafted each year are hall of famers? Is that right? Can't we make the hall something a little more prestigious? I say, one member gets picked every other year. Then it will be a truly elite class, with no debates. This year, Jerry Rice gets in, no debate. Wait two years, Emmit Smith gets in, no debate. And so on. Above average players, or players who made the pro bowl a couple times don't deserve to clog up a hall of fame. The voters want the exact opposite and want to induct more people every year. They have been inducting people who do not belong in the Hall, while leaving out people who do belong. They do not have a clue and it is continually going to get worse (just look at the seniors candidates recently). They are turning the Hall into a joke and the contact I have had with some selectors indicates that they really don't care.
BuffaloBud Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I have not researched this completely, but I think there is some precident of not having multiple players from the same position in the particular HOF year.
