vegas55 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 First it was the Dallas game where Perry did not get the concept of defending the sideline. But he really demonstrated his IQ today. Forget completely mangling the end of the first half. He failed to use timeouts sonn enough when Jags had the ball close to endzone at end of game. INSTEAD of using a timeout, he threw away a precious down by having Fitzpatrick SPIKE the ball after getting first down during last possesion. So Bills run out of downs, lose the game - AND STILL HAVE A TIMEOUT they never used. Perry you are an idiot, enjoy that timeout you took into the locker room, which your team could have so desperately used - AND APOLOGIZE TO YOUR TEAM WHICH PLAYED SO HARD- ONLY TO BE BETRAYED BY A CLUELESS FOOL WHO COMPLETELY DEMONSTRATED WHY HE HAS NO BUSINESS COACHING IN THIS LEAGUE
joshsin Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Wow i thought he did a great job for getting his first head coaching job 5 days ago
Nyghtewynd Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 IT DOESN'T MATTER. This team stinks, he ain't getting rehired, and every loss gets the new coach a better draft pick. We should be throwing games outright at this point.

Looked 10x more competent than his predecessor.
Poeticlaw Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Wow i thought he did a great job for getting his first head coaching job 5 days ago Especially considering we almost had a 300 yd passer and an almost 200 yard receiver then again running game still absent.
joshsin Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I disagree about throwing games. You never look towards the draft. I will always root for the team to win

How badly would skelator have done???
KD in CA Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Obviously he learned his clock management skills from watching Jauron. Honestly, how hard a skill can that be to master? Shouldn't managing the clock and timeouts be the easiest part of the job?
balln Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Wow i thought he did a great job for getting his first head coaching job 5 days ago I don't give coaches a buffer just because its his first game. OP is right. Uhh what about the non-challenge of that fumble by Holt? OMGGGGGG even if you don't win it (you have 3 TOs) it has to be made. It was a fumble by the way. Its the final drive of the 4th quarter and a big play. Your players thought enough to pick it up. Refs were super quick to say its down (which tells me its iffy). HAVE TO HAVE TO challenge. The bills get the ball. And run out the clock. Maybe Jax has 10 secs for a hail mary. But yea his 1st half clock management. terrible
Boolay Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Wow i thought he did a great job for getting his first head coaching job 5 days ago Moral victories are for LOSERS... Think about it.
MRM33064 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 First it was the Dallas game where Perry did not get the concept of defending the sideline ... That was, perhaps, one of the worst displays of game-day tactics in recent NFL history. I didn't have quite the same reaction Vegas55 did, but meh .... he's not exactly calling the engraver to etch his name on the Head Coach door either.
joshsin Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Moral victories are for LOSERS... Think about it. Haha i thinks its less about moral victory and more of me being numb to this season. i Honestly stopped caring but can hope for a win
Leonidas Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Oh yeah? Looked 10x more competent than his predecessor. 10 x 0 is still 0...

I don't know what this team needs for a coach doubt it is Fewell but i did like the passion he brought

Answering "well, he did better than DJ would have" is an empty argument. Mr. Fewell's performance has to be judged on it's own merits.
MRW Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 The end of the first half was absolutely terrible clock management. But you're completely wrong about the end of the game. You keep the timeout in your pocket to set up the field goal. Your offense should be able to get 10 yards given 3 downs to work with.
trolls_r_us Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 look, Perry is doing what he can. Talk about a tough situation to succeed in. Hopefully he can get another DC job next season.

Shouldn't managing the clock and timeouts be the easiest part of the job? Maybe they can hire Denise Milani to watch the clock for them.
