BADOLBILZ Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Just a thought, but with the Jags organization needing to shake things up to stir up interest in their product, perhaps a lot of changes will be in store for Jacksonville in the offseason. Meathead Del Rio could be fired and they are intrigued by the idea of local product Tim Tebow playing in a Jags uniform. Perhaps that might open the door for Garrard to be released or more likely traded. IMO, he'd be nice fit for Buffalo. He's a big, physical QB who is well suited to the elements. He's pretty accurate, has a strong arm, a decent YPA and can make plays with his feet. Just two seasons ago he had an 18-3 TD ratio with a passer rating over 100 and won a road playoff game in Pittsburgh. His stats have been pretty pedestrian of late but I think he could be a real nice 2-3 year fix while they hope to find a franchise guy.
rackemrack Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 didn't they just sign garrard to a 60m contract a year or two ago? i doubt they cut or trade him, even if they draft tebow he'll most likely be a gimmick/wildcat QB, not a full time starter

Would the cap hit mean that much for the Jags? Not too many teams up against the cap anymore. The bonus money is spent, but if the 2010 salary is high that might make a difference.
