Albany,n.y.
File this in the rumor pile. All my family lives in the SF/Oakland Bay area. One of them told me Trent isn't playing because of a concussion and that he's being checked out by a specialist. I told him that he got the concussion weeks ago but he thought it was more recent than that. Now I don't know if this has any merit. The one thing I know is its more likely to come out of Northern California, since he's from Los Gatos & went to Stanford than Buffalo the way the Bills keep everything from the WNY media. If this is true, it might explain why he seemed to get worse as the game went on in Tennessee, especially if the latest concussion came in the Tennessee game. It was awfully odd to see him get pulled at the end last week.

Before that hit, players like Lee were saying how just having TE on the team and in the huddle gave them confidence that the game could be won even down late in the fourth quarter. Back when we were 5-1. Never been said since.
Omar Little
If it is indeed another concussion, you have to really worry about Trent's well-being. Three concussions in a year's time means retirement is the smart path to take.

Hossage
I know he has some really hot girls sit in his seats for the bills games. Too bad I am not rich, smart, good looking, in shape, and in possession of friends and tickets, because I would like to be adored as well.
UConn James
If it is indeed another concussion, you have to really worry about Trent's well-being. Three concussions in a year's time means retirement is the smart path to take. And he wouldn't even have that much coin out of ~ 2 1/2 years of being a starting NFL QB. His contract was about $450K/yr as a 3rd round pick, no? If he's still having effects or if it was another concussion, tho, then it seriously is time for him to consider hanging it up and putting the Stanford diploma to work. Especially in light of the recent reports on head injuries. Just not worth it to be a mouth-drooler by age 40.
NorCal Aaron
Is this based on what your family member was told through a medical and/or Trent-associate grapevine or what he/she heard/read locally?
Captain Hindsight
I doubt this is true simply because if Trent isnt healthy we only have one healthy QB that knows the playbook. If this was True we would not have realsed the Chroisen one

After concussions your brain cannot properly tell your body what to do.Sad.
Maddog69
He's not playing because he sucks. He cannot read defenses and only throws to wide open receivers. He is not an NFL quality QB. Let's stop with the concussion excuse and call a spade a spade. Trent sucks. Next.

Yeah he sucks now...but he had potential to be an above average starter in this league. No more.--And Jauron didnt help him at all either. combo of bad things

Guest dog14787
I imagine Trent Edwards is backup for Fitzpatrick, I haven't heard any different. If there was a concussion issue he wouldn't even be a backup.

His downhill spiral is not due to concussions. How many concussions did Steve Young have? He was the same player each time he came back until he ultimately got knocked out for good, and that can go for a whole ton of people in all different sports. Let's stop with the concussion excuse and call a spade a spade. Trent sucks. Next. Completely agree. Unfortunately, some people have hitched their emotional wagon to a particular player and they cannot/will not accept the reality their 'chosen one' actually is not good enough. They will seek out any excuse, look for any 'rationale', or cling to any conspiracy that allows themselves to believe the reason the 'chosen one' was benched was due to something else besides their natural inabilities or out their control. The Cleveland game last year was a prime time example....and Cleveland doesnt gameplan for anyone--they write their plays on a napkin.
Thurman#1
Agreed. If one could erase that hit, what might have been. He has seemed like a completely different player since. I disagree. He was on a hot streak, partially because we played some truly horrible defenses during that 6 game stretch. The concussion is just a convenient scapegoat. Losman was a young promising QB who horribly regressed under the Buffalo system with the Buffalo personnel. So why does Trent require an excuse? There's something wrong here and a lot of it has to do with a substandard (very very substandard) o-line and a poorly designed scheme. And loss of confidence doesn't help either.
