PNW_Bills_Fan Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 RW talks with Mike Shanahan and hires him on as the GM. This gives MS a half of a season to evaluate the team and the front office. Then when the season is over he fires Perry and takes over as coach. To me this makes a whole lot of sense.

Then when the season is over he fires Perry and takes over as coach. To me this makes a whole lot of sense. or keeps perry on as DC. but lets get one thing straight. our rush defense is ATROCIOUS. whether that is Jaruon and his scheme of skinny men in the middle of a 4-3 or Fewell remains to be scene. Perry does wonders with the secondary - but our rush defense is bad.... and so was shannahans those last years in denver.
billsrcursed Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Shanahan, as in 1 N, not two..... jeesh. This is why people don't want to coach in Buffalo... Just kidding, but seriously, spell it right please. kthxbai

You do realize that the Tampa 2 scheme is sound "IF" you have the right personnel, but its that dependency on the right players that makes it such a weak defense also. Buffalo has never been able to find the right players, on the line, linebackers and secondary. The Vikings run a version of the Tampa 2 that actually works and is usually in the top 5 against the run every year.
