cale Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I think Shanahan would be a great hire - if he also wasn't the GM type person. I'm all for him bringing in an operations/GM type to be a sounding board and challenge him on player evals and selection. Even NE was better with both Belicheat *and* Pioli. I think teams need to be benevolent dictatorships, but you still need a right hand man.
Guest dog14787 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 "...Since Belichick became coach of the Patriots in 2000, he is 2-5 against Shanahan's Broncos, including postseason games. Belichick's record is 103-35 against all other teams in that span and doesn't have a losing record against any of them. " http://www.santafenewmexican.com/Sports/It...n-vs--Belichick I know this makes a world of sense on one hand and we have the Bills front office on the other hand, but still... Good post crazyDingo and I would hope some of these facts are starring RW in the face right about now. Shanny knows how to run the ball like no other and our RB's must be Giddy thinking about having Mike Shanahan for a head coach.
