From the Schefter espn piece linked to above: The Bills also will investigate options expected to include Florida Tuskers coach Jim Haslett and New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride, both of whom has ties to the Bills.

Didn't see this, but it seems much more speculative than having actually taken the steps to contact Shanahan.

Normally I'd say yeah, that sucks. But after 10+ years of crap, I don't care what they think of one guys feelings.

Fewell's got to know that this organization doesn't have much ability to go with someone without a proven track record. He's got to know that nothing short of completely turning this team around and having them run the table or come damn close to that isn't going to be enough to put him into serious consideration. In the past perhaps he could have been a serious contender with almost no experience, but not at his point.
