Delete This Account Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 In today's Manchester (NH) Union-Leader, I learned in your article that Dick Jauron's dad was the first head football and basketball coach at Manchester Memorial HS. Small world. PTR i ain't that smart. the good editors at the paper must have inserted that, to make me look good. jw
Gugny Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 The big news is that Ralph is going to spend some real money. Real money 1967, or real money 2009?
BillsWest Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 What's optimism?? Is that even a word?? Of course it's a word. It's one of the four seasons, the one just before football season starts!
dancing_joker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 it's the real thurman thomas. he pimps his twitter on his WGR show @ 10am monday's. the link is http://twitter.com/thurmanthomas This gives me hope. It shows that Ralph isn't stopping w/DJ. Thank god. I want some new playoff memories!
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Stew Barber is reported as the New GMThat my firend would be a repeat of the previous disaster. Best thing that ever happened was Stew getting the door
Armchair GM Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Highly doubt any higher profile players get cut now, especially T.O. They've got 7 games to show that they want to be on next year's team. Just to name one, I really do think it's in Lil' Donte's best interests to get back on the field if he can. Agree! Now all we need is someone with enough balls to go into that locker room and tell them that they are "trying out" for a spot on the 2010 Bills!
EndZoneCrew Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Our new mascot has been announced for the 2010 season...it's none other than JIMMY B.....Big Red himself Jim Brinson!!!!
UConn James Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Thurman just updated his Twitter.. "Nobody is safe at One Bills Drive, they r cleaning house and bringing in a Football guy to run the ship. Jimbo say Ralph wil spend money!!!!" Translation: Ralph gives Russ a buffalo nickel and says, "Now, don't spend it all in one place!"
4BillsintheBurgh Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 scoup ? It's tough to spell on a message board.
IndyJay1234 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Step 1- Fire coach midseason and allow fans to dream of big hire like Cowher.... No matter what happens rest of the way the sheep are asleep and will follow your every move. It will be like draft day every day because of the possibilities. Step 2- Media will begin circulating rumors that You- Ralph has finally seen the light and will spend big bucks on coach Step 3- Include former greats on decision so fan base buys into whoever is hired. Jim Kelly Approved coach and QB. Step 4- Wait until January and Hire a coordinator from another team with previous head coaching experience. Claim you tried to hire the bigger names but they were not interested. Step 5- Market, Market, Market. Step 6- Enjoy a year or two of rebuilding while patient fan base waits for a winning team that will never come. Step 7- Wait for death and count money. Step 8- Rinse and Repeat.
Conch Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Translation: Ralph gives Russ a buffalo nickel and says, "Now, don't spend it all in one place!" Ralph is running roughshod over everyone with his walker.
