Beerball Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Dick Jauron doomed to fail Jauron was always marked for NFL failure. The Bills' decision to sign him in 2006 was as uninspired and boring as head coaching hires get. Not only that, it was lazy; had the Bills looked just a little bit closer at Jauron's time with the Bears, they would have found plenty to repel them. One nice guy getting hired by another nice guy.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Dick Jauron doomed to fail One nice guy getting hired by another nice guy. I'm stunned. The article says Jauron favored low risk conservative plays on offense in Chicago. Is that our Dick he's talking about? PTR

Brandon Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 No sh*t? Who would have thought that if the Bills hired a career loser that he'd keep losing in Buffalo. Yep, this is a real 'I told you so' moment. Did anyone honestly expect this to end differently the day he was hired?
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 and here I thought this Chicago writer would be talking Jay Cutler and his 17 INT's

Mike in Syracuse Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 "In many ways, Jauron seemed clueless about what works and what doesn't in the modern NFL. His offensive coordinator of choice was John Shoop, who favored constant screen plays and short outs and power running plays, the kind of stuff that doesn't work against NFL defenses anymore. NFL teams have to stretch the field; Jauron never seemed to notice."
