It is really funny to mock these people. I truly do enjoy it. Come on, that first poster in this thread called 70 thousand people "the million people". And man, did you see the John Stewart/Hannity thing on the Bachman crowd? I was ROFLing all over the place.

Anyways... this is a tiny gathering also...

So you're cool with $500mill a day in interest payments?

$500 mil a day would be great. 2009 Interest on national debt is roughly $380 billion.

C'mon guys, don't complain. We will just borrow our way out of debt and stimulate the economy by giving the "governments" money away. $24,000 per additional auto purchased in the "Cash For Clunkers" program. How many jobs have been created? No, they went the smoke and mirrors way and came up with a category that would be hard to dispute----"jobs created or saved". Obama takes "con man" to a new level. I can't wait until 2012! Hopefully the 2010 election will thwart his socialization of our country.

more like $1.1 Billion a day

It's cool. We met with China this week. They're totally into understanding that the only way you can reduce the deficit and get yourself out of recession is to pile billions and billions and billions of debt on your yet-unborn Americans. Hell, they're not even born yet. What the hell do they care?

China's totally cool with it. They get it. They were like "Dude, we get it," and Obama was like "Dudes, you're like so not what I heard you were like."

This whole Sally Fields Foreign Policy Program kicks ass.

Until the Republicans or a 3rd Party show they will actually have a legitimate candidate ready in '12, I don't think I'd be lining up to take Kelly's bet.

Remember, the Democrats figured out a way to lose in '04 to a guy that wasn't terribly popular and wasn't a particularily good campaigner. While I expect Obama to be unpopular in '12, I have to give him credit for being a great campaigner and he'll have the advantage of holding the bully pulpit. If he's wildly unpopular by then, maybe the challengers will find a way not to miss the softball lobbed at them. In the last 40 years only 2 elected incumbants managed to not get reelected; I'm not in any rush to get to '12 at present based on those odds.

Too soon to tell but the White House and Congress are polarizing voters and losing the independents (based on polls) with the damage being done with all the monster bills. We know the simulus is an expensive bust. The various bailouts are unpopular, cap and trade is not popular, their health care reform will create a lot of ill (pun intended) will and the deficits that they have forecasted will grow well beyond the forecasts as they are based on unrealistic numbers. They still have a great opportunity to screw up the immigration problem and get a lot of new taxes passed. Add to this unpopular wars that are moving slowly at best and the lack of respect Obama is getting from the world's bad guys and I think this all spells trouble for even the best Obama campaign. Frankly, I think the door will be quite open and we can only hope we get a change to a fiscal conservative who will put us on the very long road to recovery.

Oh, it definitely looks now like the Democrats will shed a lot of seats in '10. And I would be surprised if Obama's "change" is going over well in '12. And I would definitely like to see a fiscal conservative in the WH. I'm not convinced that the GOP won't have the game rigged to the point that the "next guy in line" won't nearly automatically win the primary and because he's next in line he'll be another Bob Dole. I also don't see the next credible 3rd Party candidate (although it's awfully early in the game for 1 to have come to the forefront). I definitely see scenarios where our Socialist in Chief is challenged by weak enough or splintered enough opposition to squeak out a win. (Especially if he has the voting machines in his pocket. Diebold! Oh, wait, it's the Republicans that could never lose another election because they control the voting machines. Oooops. Nevermind. /-sarcasm)

I share your concerns, but pray for a fiscal conservative in the White House. I also hope that in 2010 we get enough conservatives in Congress to stop this BS. How about a new "Contract With America"?

All of the fiscal comments aside, let's remember that he is now letting in people with a potential deadly disease. WTF!!! If one American dies from it from a new immigrant, then it's one too many. This guy seriously needs his head examined. Why not let people with Ebola in too?

You know what's awesome??I mean really awesome. It's that when it comes to the protesters, the only thing the people on the left are doing about it is mocking them.

"They're teabaggers! They're astroturfers! There were only 673 people attending, not 20,000! They're nothing but a bunch of gnats. Furniture! We're talking dining room tables.

Teabaggers! Teabaggers! Teabaggers!"

It's awesome. You guys keep mocking them okay. Only maybe a little louder, okay? :w00t::D

If they had a clue or any knowledge beyond the right wing rhetoric maybe they wouldn't be labeled as such, however they have demonstrated themselves as having niether any itelect or understanding of the great challenges that face our country today. Instead of working with a President who ran on, and (in my opinion) to his own detriment, has looked for bipartisan support, the conservatives, (call them what you may), have attacked him time and time again for nothing but political gain.

You're trying to prod the wrong guy, but as an aside, next time you question someone's intellect, it's generally a good thing if you first learn how to spell the word "intellect" properly. And brush up a bit on "either/or" and "neither/nor."

But hey...thanks for the great input. Next time I gather with a bunch of conservatives, I'll remind them how bipartisan Obama has been trying to be. :w00t::D:lol:

There was a point in all that? All I saw was what looked like a typically hypocritical partisan rant - which is pretty much the root cause (along with apathy) of everything that ails this country's political climate.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I got it! You are another Obama* lovin, Dem backing lib who tries to squelch the true voice of reason and truth. Go pump your agenda somewhere else. Lets debate topics. If you can refrain from telling us how smart you think you are and how dumb us small mind, parrot, lemmings are. Who do you work for Anita Dunn, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC, CBS or do you have nothing to do all day but watch CNN , smoke pot and have your mom make you blueberry pancakes and serve them to you in her basement that you turned into a bedroom!

You all read it here folks. I'm now an Obama Lovin' Dem backing liberal.

Here's a newsflash, small minded-guy: Everyone who can see the Republicans for what they are isn't a Democrat. The fact that you're too stupid to understand that isn't anyone's problem but yours. But tell us all again what you feel in your heart and how calling names is someone else's problem.

You can't "debate" topics unless your response comes from some ridiculous neocon website. That's not debate, it's regurgitation.

I've come to the conclusion that Da Big Man is just trolling. Nobody is that obtuse and blindly devoted to a party. Even Hedd, connor, nozzlenut, etc have occasional brief moments of clarity, but DBM is too consistently retarded to be anything but a troll
