DC Tom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Oh yeah I've really mentioned her a ton the last half year here. Do the research Toolbox Tommie. Shucks who am I kidding...you look up anything aside from spouting inanities off the top off your head? As I said, like the tea parties and Lou Dobbs, she has been proven a fraud and is no longer relevent so who cares. A third of your posts over the past twelve months. Obsessed? You? Nah.
Magox Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Almost as funny as you clinging to the time I employed irony when calling you a racist. ya, sure, you "employed irony"
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Which accomplishments? Going to college? Getting elected to a public office? Getting elected to the presidency? Which accomplishments do you want me to comment on? Here is your list of Palin's accomplishments which you implied were more significant indicators than her five transfers over six years en route to getting a communications degree from the University of Idaho: Leave it to a liberal to look at an American woman who went to five different colleges to earn a degree, become the Governor of one of our United States, run for Vice President of the United States, and write a book that, before it's even released, is a blockbuster best seller based strictly on her name, and consider her a joke. So that's: Become Governor (of Alaska, let's not round the corners and pretend that cailing it "one of our United States" makes the accomplishment as significant as winning in a state more populated than Rhode Island) Run for Vice President (and lose) Write a book that sold a lot of copies (in fairness to GG's point, I'll even give you the benefit of the doubt and compare instead to JK Rowling). So, in the spirit which you have deemed all of the aforementioned "accomplishments," I'd like to hear your unbiased account of what Obama has achieved.
3rdnlng Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 What are those issues? I'm just curious. She is conservative and practical. Regardless of how you feel about abortion, she lived up to her convictions in a difficult situation. She took on the "old boy" network in Alaska and won.
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 ya, sure, you "employed irony" To imply anything else is to suggest I have a stake in shaping my reputation around here. I resent that implication.
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 She is conservative and practical. Regardless of how you feel about abortion, she lived up to her convictions in a difficult situation. She took on the "old boy" network in Alaska and won. So the issue is abortion. That's the only one you named.

In response you your absolute unbiased account of Palin's accomplishments? That a good one.
DC Tom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 [*]Become Governor (of Alaska, let's not round the corners and pretend that cailing it "one of our United States" makes the accomplishment as significant as winning in a state more populated than Rhode Island) Actually, going from "daddy's fishing company" to "city council in middle of nowhere" to "mayor of East Podunk" to "governor of a state" is pretty damned impressive. Even if that state is Alaska.
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 In response you your absolute unbiased account of Palin's accomplishments? That a good one. What's biased about her academic record?
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Actually, going from "daddy's fishing company" to "city council in middle of nowhere" to "mayor of East Podunk" to "governor of a state" is pretty damned impressive. Even if that state is Alaska. Undoubtedly so. But anyone who touts it as more impressive than anything Barrack Obama overcame in his life is blinded by his own partisanship. Note: I did NOT say that Obama's path to success was more impressive than Palin's.
DC Tom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 What's biased about her academic record? How about that you didn't mention she got straight-A's pretty much everywhere she went? (Yeah, I was kind of surprised to find that out, too).
3rdnlng Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 So the issue is abortion. That's the only one you named. Typical liberal. I happen to be against abortion but, I am a male. I am not against a woman's right to choose. I would hope that if they didn't want the child or couldn't handle things that they would choose adoption. Regardless, if it is early on, it's their choice. So, I only named one issue. You are the expert on Sarah Palin and her complete lack of ability and intelligence to be in public office, what else do you have against her? Do you think that she would have followed and implemented the back door socialist policies of Obama or stood by conservative principles and let the market sort things out? I have the feeling that you are an elitist and don't know jack. JMO.
3rdnlng Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Undoubtedly so. But anyone who touts it as more impressive than anything Barrack Obama overcame in his life is blinded by his own partisanship. Note: I did NOT say that Obama's path to success was more impressive than Palin's. What did Obama overcome? Does anyone know?
DC Tom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Note: I did NOT say that Obama's path to success was more impressive than Palin's. I figured that out. Only difference I see is that Obama was pegged pretty early as one of the rising stars of the Democratic party, and being from Illinois had a lot more support from the national party for his Senate and Presidential run. Palin, being an Alaska Republican, really didn't have nearly as much. But that really only came into play in the last eight years or so of their political careers - Obama's senate and presidential runs, Palin's governor and VP runs. And both were roughly equally meteroic (Obama's maybe a little faster...but like I said, he had better exposure to national party resources).
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Typical liberal. I happen to be against abortion but, I am a male. I am not against a woman's right to choose. Do you think that she would have followed and implemented the back door socialist policies of Obama or stood by conservative principles and let the market sort things out? I have the feeling that you are an elitist and don't know jack. JMO. I asked you what the issue(s) were, the only one you could name was abortion, I asked for clarification since you also threw a bunch meaningless fluff, and I get this. Defensive much?
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 How about that you didn't mention she got straight-A's pretty much everywhere she went? (Yeah, I was kind of surprised to find that out, too). She got straight A's from North Idaho and Hawaii Pacific? Sign her up for the !@#$ing Rhodes! But, anyways.
DC Tom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 What did Obama overcome? Does anyone know? Yeah, excellent question. Any of you liberal nut-jobs want to tell me what obstacles a black man in American politics possibly has to overcome?
keepthefaith Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Palin is a joke. Obama's far from perfect, but Palin doesn't even belong in the same sentence. Just look at how hard it was for her earn a single Bachelor's degree in communications: Hawaii Pacific University Fall of 1982 North Idaho College Spring/Fall of 1983 University of Idaho Fall of 1984/Spring of 1985 Matanuska-Sustina College Fall of 1985 University of Idaho Spring and Fall of 1986/Fall of 1987 Now I know putting emphasis on education makes me a liberal elite and all, but come ON. A thread about a person who makes it look THIS hard should be entitled: WHY ALL THE LOVE? Liberal yes. Elite, hardly. Pass the kitty litter please.
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I figured that out. That part wasn't meant for you.
The Big Cat Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Liberal yes. Elite, hardly. Pass the kitty litter please. Hahaha! DAMN EDUCATION! DAMN IT!
