PromoTheRobot Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Anyone see this game tonight? Niagara had a 6 point lead against Providence on the road with 1 minute left. The were outscored 13-2 thanks to 4 turnovers and lose 83-78. So sad. A chance to upset a Big East team in their building on ESPN2. Instead they choke on it. PTR
kasper13 Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 That's why they say you only need to watch the last minute of a basketball game to see who wins.

PTR 121136[/snapback] Saw it...and was sickened. Is it too much to ask for ANY team in this town not to choke when they finally have a chance at a breakthrough? Unreal. You don't get chances like the one they had last night, to start off a mid-major's season of promise with a huge road win over a big conference foe on national TV, more than once in a blue moon, and they pissed it away. I know they're just kids, but you just have to grab the opportunities life presents you with. Instead they'll just be one of the 99% of mid-majors that need to win their conference tourney to dance. And judging by recent performances, Niagara may very well choke there too. Sad for Buffalo...Again. At least UB's season of promise opens up at UConn, where they probably wont be able to tease us like this.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 That coach is going to pull the few remaining hairs out of his head.
