BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Jauron is officially the very worst coach I have ever seen. He makes Herm Edwards and Rich Kotite look better than Lombardi. Btw thanks Marv, for bestowing this loser upon us. How would you compare him to former Bear coaching giant Abe Gibron ?
Beerball Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 It's best to just let them hurl the same un-critical gripes they've been circulating the last 14 months. Your right! It should stop, and stop RIGHT NOW! Great move Dick! This personnel move will one day be looked upon as the dawning of a new age of football. Football for undersized linebackers! Welcome to The Age of Dick!

That would actually be a more constructive approach than making the aggravated, unfounded assumption that Maybin and Harris should be playing linebacker over Scott.
bizell Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 3 quarters. The rash of injuries that the Bills and Colts suffer on defense is all a product of this innane obsession to get smaller, quicker players for the "Tampa-2" scheme. yeah, except the Colts (who are #1 in scoring defense so far this year, btw) have the superstars in place to where they can just plug in JAGs at critical positions and still succeed. *inane
High Mark Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Havent you noticd that Dick/The Bills never like to play the good young players. Cash Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 A lot of the problem with our run D has been overpursuit/bad angles/guys freelancing and leaving their gaps open. In theory, a smaller veteran might do a better job of shoring up those flaws than a bigger rookie. I don't buy it, but we'll see. The good news is that we probably won't lose time of possession quite so badly this week. It'll be hard for the Titans to put together any 10 play drives when Chris Johnson bursts through the line untouched on most carries. And since he's much faster than any of our linebackers (including Scott), and a fair amount faster than anyone in our secondary (unless McGee is healthy), he'll just be scoring on most of those carries. "Small, slow, and injured is no way to play defense, son."
All_Pro_Bills Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 That would actually be a more constructive approach than making the aggravated, unfounded assumption that Maybin and Harris should be playing linebacker over Scott. I'd be willing to give an unfounded assumption a try vs. attempting to violate the laws of physics by using small defenders to take on big blockers - mass times velocity = pancake, squish, crack.....
Fewell733 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 yeah, except the Colts (who are #1 in scoring defense so far this year, btw) have the superstars in place to where they can just plug in JAGs at critical positions and still succeed.*inane they don't have many superstars on defense - they play good football. The real reason they have statistically one of the best defenses is because they have a great offense. If you switched the Bills D with the Indy D, I think Indy would be just as successful.
VJ91 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 How sad is it that Bryan Scott is taking first team reps at linebacker? Does anyone have news on this? Why do the Bills refuse to let young players learn on the job, personally I would like to see what Nic Harris can do. Or and I know they will not do it but see if Maybin can play linebacker. At this point what do they have to lose by playing young players? First of all, Scott has played pretty well as a hard hitting SS. By moving him to LB, I guess that menas that Whitner is finally healthy and will play SS himself?? So even if that's true, Whitner gets re-injured almost every freakin' week, isn't Scott an excellent back up for when Donte' goes out again? What is it with these Bills coaches forcing players to switch positions all over the place? They ruined the average but certainly not horrible career of Langston Walker by forcing him to play left tackle, and then forcing him to play it out of that pathetic no huddle. They forced Brad Butler to switch to right tackle after he had settled in as the starting right guard. They signed a free agent career back up center-guard to play full time center, and they drafted one of the best pure centers to come out of college and switched him to guard. Finally, they drafted a pretty good right tackle out of college and naturally switched him to guard too. And the good looking hard hitting rookie safety, Nic Harris, has been going back and fourth from linebacker to safety and back all season. What's next for these coaches, making their best players go both ways??
