Astrobot Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/287939-...d-games#page/10 Michael Schottey compares the Buffalo Bills to a board game. Can you guess which one? This is a very entertaining read, and all 32 teams are compared to a different game.
timba Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Before I read the article, my guess is Sorry! Yeah I was wrong... fun read though!
Red Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 "Balderdash is a game of lying. The Buffalo Bills spend a good part of the offseason lying to themselves and giving their fans just enough hope to save lagging ticket sales." And this is the reason why a marketing guy should NOT be your GM. While a real football GM would be focused on building a TEAM that would be successful and would thereby, in effect sell out the stadium, our marketing 'genius' believes that you should focus your attention on selling seats AT THE EXPENSE of fielding a good team. Case in point: the Owens signing and now the Sunday Night revelation of Michael Vick. Brandon will be turning the Bills into a circus; a team with nothing more than a yearly gate attraction of controversy to get people packed in the stadium. "Come, see the ticking time-bomb, self-destructive player attempt to resurrect his career!"
Sisyphean Bills Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Is it really that surprising that this team focuses on marketing and accounting given the members of the "inner circle"?
BillsGuyInMalta Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I get bored watching their games too.
BillsVet Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Promising hope and delivering nothing. Yep, that's their strategy and when it comes to doing something substantial, they'll find a reason to avoid it.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Before I read the article, my guess is Sorry! Yeah I was wrong... fun read though! that would have been my first choice. So then I'll go with Double Trouble.
DanInUticaTampa Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 haha, jests = hungry hungry hippos.
The Big Cat Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I was thinking chutes and ladders. Only by chance can we plummet or sky rocket. There's virtually no skill involved.
WellDressed Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 How about Clue. Dick, with a rope in the study.
Ramius Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I'd say we are "Don't break the ice." The object of the team is to see how many pieces they can knock out and still keep the guy in the middle (ralph) sitting pretty.
