erynthered Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Thats a surprise........... http://www.nme.com/news/aerosmith/48286
Chef Jim Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Funny when you and I stop working after 40 years it's called retirement. When a rocker does it it's call quitting
erynthered Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 I suppose falling off that stage a couple of weeks back pushed him over the edge.
IDBillzFan Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 They should get David Lee Roth to replace him.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 They should get David Lee Roth to replace him. No. Dillusional baby-boomers should just stop spending money on acts that they recall from their youth and realize these groups are over the hill. The acts will all have no choice but to hang it up.

Nanker Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 What does over the hill have to do with playing music? Absolutely nothing if you've seen Bruce Springsteen.
Chef Jim Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Absolutely nothing if you've seen Bruce Springsteen. Some of the best shows I've seen lately are of groups I saw in the 70's. Some of the worst shows I've seen were of those same groups in the 70's.

Some of the worst shows I've seen were of those same groups in the 70's. I can believe it! Never saw Bruce till a few weeks ago. Wasn't a big fan, but man - what a show! There are quite a few groups though that should hang it up.

kegtapr Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Thank you, Mr. Too Lazy to Look Up "Delusional". The only delusional one seems to be Joe Perry. Sorry Joe, you're nothing without Tyler, and that's already been proven once before. Guitarist says band 'will probably find somebody else to sing'
bbb Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Going to see Bruce tomorrow night, and again in Buffalo - 4 this year.....and, he has not lost a thing at 60.
bdelma Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 They should get David Lee Roth to replace him. Living under a rock for a couple of years. DLR is with Van Halen. Sammy is with Chickenfoot.
bdelma Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 What does over the hill have to do with playing music? Agree 100%. As Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Steven Tyler: Storyteller Oddly enough, Tyler just announced a "storyteller-style" tour that kicks off (in all places) Concord NH. FYI: Aerosmith actually got its start in Sunapee NH in a place called the Green Barn. The Tallarico family (Steven's real name) owns a house on Lake Sunapee. In fact its not an uncommon sight to see Steven, sometimes Liv and Joe Perry too, hanging out by the lake, grabbing a drink, or hitting the mall in Concord. Too bad I'm not running the local classic rock FM anymore. We'd probably be the sponsoring station and I'd have free tickets. That's the one perk I miss from my radio days. That and all the blow from record promoters PTR

Buftex Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Possibly the funniest thing I have ever read in The Onion... it fortells of a day when Aerosmith would continue on with one of its' original CEO's! http://www.theonion.com/content/news/steve...r_laid_off_from
