What Vick did off the field is egregious enough, but as bad a person as he is, he might be a worse quarterback. The guy is flat-out useless. The Bills are even more of a joke if they sign Vick and entrust their offense to him. Dude look at thier career stats. He reallly can't be any worse than either TE or Fitz.

Vick's never been a good QB...just an athlete who can throw the ball with low accuracy on occasion So your saying hes just like Trent Edwards or JP losman without the actual wins?

Correlating liking Vick with seriously disliking children just shows me that some people on this forum shouldn't have contact with people outside there fantasy world. My personal statement... I like Vick being back in the NFL. The guy did something terrible but he served his time, he took his punishment. In addition, I have no disdain or negative feelings towards children. I would enjoy seeing Vick in a Buffalo Uni, I think he would do great things with this team (if we had a new coach). Say no to drugs! Stay in School!
Gordio Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 ummm...you DO realize that football is a team game...Vick has no wins or losses...regular season or postseason It is thinking like that, that has kept the bills out of the playoffs for the last 10yrs. I am going to make this simple for you. Look around the league & look at the good teams. Indy, NE, Cincy, Pitt, SD, Denv,Minn, NO,Philly, Dallas, Arizona, Atl etc.. all have good play from the QB position. You think that is a coincidence. Find a franchise qb & this team will make the playoffs even with all of their shortfalls. You put Brees on this team & they are no worse then 6-2 right now, probably 7-1 with the only loss being Miami. That is how important the qb position. This board has the opinion that the qb play is just one small function of the whole machine, it is just pure BS. I guess watching 10yrs of miserable qb play will do that to a fan base. Now the question is; is Mike Vick the answer. I do not necassarily think he is the answer but I will say this he is better then anybody we got on the roster & it is not even close. He will be available next year, noway with the recent play of Kolb is Philly going to pay him 5.2 mill to play a handfull of plays each game. I would bring him in, it could not hurt. I am an animal lover(own 2 dogs) but the man has paid his time. Everybody deserves a 2nd chance.

I have not watched a ton of Atlanta games when he was the qb but looking at his stats, no doubt his passing numbers our pedestrian, but I think what makes up for that is his rushing numbers. I just remember when he played against the bills in 2005 I believe, just seeing him run away from one after another defender like they were standing still, I was simply amazed. He may have paid his debt to society, but I don't believe he deserves the right to make millions of dollars again. I SEE him doing the right things, but I think he's doing them for the wrong reason. I see him as a person who's sorry that he got caught, not a person who's sorry that he did it.

He's a scumbag and whether or not he deserves a '2nd chance' he's going to get it from someone - we all know that. But like someone else said that doesn't mean I have to be the one that gives it to him, or that I have some obligation to feel good about rooting for him. And stop referencing the GB playoff game. Favre turned the ball over a billion times in that game and Culpepper won a playoff game there too.

I'll take Edwards and new HC, but also a qb in the draft to sit for a year. By then we should know for sure one way or the other on Trent, and have either trade material in our drafted qb or have him ready to go.

Dungy would essentially be a karma equalizer. That said, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in Miami that he'll wind up here.

The world is full of animal lovers, especially folks who love dogs and feel that what Vick did is unforgivable. While I don't feel the same way myself personally, I understand why some folks would be up in arms over Vick possibly coming to Buffalo. I wouldn't worry though, Vick is a Lousy QB and I honestly don't see the Bills having any interest in him, specially considering he hasn't even shown flashes of his former running capabilities which is all he ever had going for him to begin with because he sure wasn't a very good QB. Without Agle Crumpler, Vicks career would have tanked long ago and this is coming from someone who has followed Vick throughout his career. Guys got all the talent in the world, but doesn't read and react to defenses well enough to play the QB position properly. Vick simply doesn't have it upstairs, at least in my opinion.

It would be so obvious that this is a move by Russ Brandon to falsely spur ticket sales again one season, without the Bills committing too much green in the way of a leaner meaner front office or a head coach. They wouldnt have to pay for a 1st round QB either. Im not going to fall for it again. If they sign Vick and do not do anything else significant, I think it is very obvious they plan on milking everyone in Buffalo until the lease is up or Ralph dies.... when it is time to bolt for Toronto.

Say hello to 73,000 at the Ralph again You know, I have been looking at this as a positive until I read this post. Unfortunately, with a marketing guy making all of the key football decisions, I think that you are right. Cynical as it may be, and until the Bills get a real football man at GM, methinks that this reeks of another marketing ploy to sell seats and attract Toronto fans than it is to field a real TEAM. I was excited about the possibility, but then realized who is doing the talking. Brandon. I'd feel much better with a real football GM making the call, and with Modrak and Guy gone, and perhaps Dungy as head coach.
