PIZ Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I have been disappointed in Donahoe for awhile. I have to admit, though, I was extremely excited to get him in Buffalo, as I thought he was the reason the Steelers were so successful. But, this guy in New England, seems to be special, and he knows how a Championship Team is built. Would he keep Mularkey or bring Weiss or Crennel with him? Scott Pioli---future GM?
PIZ Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 I miss Bill Polian. 120466 Dwight Smith (I think that's his name) is doing pretty well in San Diego, though I have no idea what he's going to do with Rivers/Brees.

Smith Tom Donahoe mentored himself to be a politician and not a strong GM/President
Guest Guest Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I miss Bill Polian. 120466 Yes because the Colts have been to way more Super Bowls then the Bills....Oh wait he overspent on his offense for so long that they did not have a defense.. Geesh

They are contenders even with a crappy defense. He is a proven top flight GM.
R. Rich Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Given the choice of Polian or Donahoe, I'm sure many would rather have Polian. I know I would. At least he'd address the offensive line with a bit more effort than Donahoe.
Steven in MD Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Can anyone give me a GM (not a coach/GM) who is worse than Donahoe? I would take Polian, Pioli, Smith, Millen or Casserly over Donahoe.
