I love Carlin. Saw his act live twice. Once at Melody Fair and once at Shea's. That was way back in 1990 & 1992. He is still funny as hell today.

Sorry, but you're the mistaken one who doesn't have his facts straight. I've seen his "comedy" show. He is an ultra-liberal 60's hippie, with very pro-socialist views.

You say that like it's a bad thing

Dear Mr. Stalin,

Thank you dear comrade so very much for you service and undying love of your country.

You guys are ridiculous. I've got friends in Iraq right now, that are putting their lives on the line serving our country and protecting our way of life. Part of that is freedom of speech. And while Carlin is free to spout off about how messed up/bad we are, then I'm free to say that his show is garbage. And unfortunately, you guys are free to vote. I can tell by your responses that you clowns did not like the results of the recent elections!

"Here I am minding my business, and our idiot (kicker) site posters got liquored up and started running their mouths (keyboards) off. . ."

Simply Classic! I noticed the other guys didn't respond. It was kind of like at the end of "8-Mile" when Eminem left the other rapper speechless.

Why respond to it? It's a typical crock of stevestojan argument by someone who doesn't have a leg to stand on. Yeah, I like George Carlin so therefore I must be a liberal. Good luck with that brilliant line of "thinking".

I don't take political rants from ANY entertainer for anything more than what they are, conservative or liberal. If people don't think George Carlin is funny, that's their problem.

The bright side is, I now know someone who actually watched "8 Mile". Had no idea such people actually existed.

Yes, those people exist. I don't really care for rap too much, but I saw it. And Eminem's songs are often satirical commentary on issues, not on the same level, but also not so different from what George does.

I don't have a problem with Marshall Mathers the rap guy, so there's really no need to defend that. I saw enough of the trailer to know I wouldn't get that hour and thirty plus of my life back.

I have a problem with Marshall Mathers the human being. But hey, I'm apparently a liberal...

Alaska Darin hit this right on the head. Why bother responding to something that pretty much refutes itself?!

Our friend "guest" only continues to contradict himself. He makes sweeping generalizations about people that enjoy Carlin's thoughtful humor and that anyone that does enjoy it MUST be a socialist. OBVIOUSLY.

Also, Mr. Guest says that it's "unfortunate" that people who disagree with him have the right to vote. Who's the socialist again?

If you ask me, Mr. Guest just has some sort of an inferiority complex and can't stand it when people disagree with him.

It's why he doesn't like George Carlin's humor, because it disagrees with his line of thinking, and why he decides to troll a thread that was about someone excited to go see Carlin and proceed to make it into some half-cocked political spat.

It could also explain why he's too afraid to actually register and be accountable for his retardedness.
