KD in CA Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Sounds like a lot of cool stuff in there, but that's a friggin hideous looking boat.
BuffaloBill Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Nothing like hanging out with 6300 of your best cruise friends.
billfan63 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Do those things discard sewage in to the ocean? I mean 6,300 people
BUFFALOTONE Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Our tugs will be docking the boat on her maiden trip into Port Everglades. We have all 5 tugs doing a water display as well. But I agree, I love to cruise but not with 6000+.

KD in CA Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Do those things discard sewage in to the ocean? I mean 6,300 people And that's only if the entire crew holds it in the whole trip.
thebug Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 That thing looks like it could tip over in high winds or rough water.
dib Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Nothing like hanging out with 6300 of your best cruise friends. Does the steerage class get lifeboats too?
/dev/null Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Does the steerage class get lifeboats too? What for? A ship that size is unsinkable...
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Do those things discard sewage in to the ocean? I mean 6,300 people I didn't read the article... But, if this is the one in the Baltic... No. If it is the same boat I read about, I think they process the waste in some way. Also, I think the vessel actually is MORE efficient than smaller boats that exist today. Figure that one out. 6,300 people?? That is like going on a cruise with my whole village... Crammed into 1200 feet!!! Not sure what the beam on that beast is, but at 1200' long, it can't be Panamax. So the beam can be wider than 106' (110') since it is not Panamax length. It is 212 feet tall though... And they said it does need to get some speed going so as to displace and sink more in the water to get past a bridge and out of the Baltic. Probably New PanaMax. Still... 6,300 of your "best friends."
WellDressed Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Oasis_of_the_Seas http://www.oasisoftheseas.com/ Hey Joan dear, where the hell is the promenade deck??

stuckincincy Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I'm King of the World! Good. Replace your Cavalier's oil pan gasket before it leaks again.
