marauderswr80 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Remember in the early 90's when teams would come here in November December & January and guys with big leather jackets and big chains were affraid to get off the bus to play the game? Anyone remember that? Remember when NO other teams fans would dare come to Rich Stadium to see a game simply cause of fear. Now when teams come to Orchard Park they see it as a home away from home game. Teams have just as many fans at the game as the Bills do. Teams get off buses and say we are 60 minutes away from a win fellas. The fan base is not what it used to be, the dedication, heart, ect......the team has none of it. The mystic of what this team used to be is dead and gone. Face the facts ladies and gents, your owner Ralph Wilson has run this team into the ground. As long as his wallet gets fatter who cares right?
bdelma Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 And ralph can say and do anything and folks will buy his act. Bring a superbowl to the Bills fans. That's a laugh.
Mike in Syracuse Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I think the word you're looking for is MYSTIQUE.

As long as his wallet gets fatter who cares right? Do you mean "mystique"? The fans have been there and can only take so much. It honestly felt like I was watching a college team. The play calling was atrocious, the OL isn't worth mentioning and the pass rush is an absolute joke. Schobel may be the only bright spot but even he is dim at times. Kelsay, Denney and Maybin should be ashamed to pick up their pay checks. This team has a losing culture, not much else to say about it.
BuffaloBill Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 The reality is that the game has changed significantly with free agency and the Bills have not. It is not likely that any team will again build, and sustain the level of talent on the Bill's roster during the 90's. Teams that are now successful have the following: Strong front office that can evaluate talent Solid coaching staff Very good to excellent QB'ing Very good to excellent defense The Bills have none of the above - maybe a defense but that is a stretch.
