I would assume that hasn't changed. http://www.meritline.com/dvd-r-blank-media...imageField2.y=5 Meritline is the only place I buy media from as well -- great place to shop, been buying from them for at least 7-8 years. That said, nowadays I'm not sure that it matters as much as it did 8 years ago... CW
kegtapr Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I'm a big fan of Taiyo Yuden. Never had a coaster that wasn't my own fault.

kegtapr Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 ... any experience with HP blanks ? ... Looks like they are currently 2nd class media. DVD/CD's are like LCD screens, only a handful of places actually produce them, then they get rebranded. Found the link I've always used to check what media I'm getting. http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

Buftex Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I too have a Sony burner, and am happy with the copies that you can make with Sony. However, be aware, if you use Sony, and make copies for others, they may have playback issues... if you just shop the mainstream outlets, like me, Office Depot carries the Verbatim line of products...they seem to work on any player. The playback issue seems particularly relevant when it comes to using dual layer discs (DVD-DL/R)...for those Verbatim is the way to go!
