Kiwi Bills fan Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I have a file sharing question for you. My wife is back in America right now after her father passed away. I just got off the phone with her when she asked me if there is any way I could electronically send her audio files from a cd that we have so she could copy back onto a cd over there to be used for the memorial service. Can any of you give me any recommendations on what I should do?
sullim4 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Assuming you know how to rip the audio from the CD, and it isn't more than a handful of files, why not just email them? Or just zip them up and email them?
Fezmid Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Assuming you know how to rip the audio from the CD, and it isn't more than a handful of files, why not just email them? Or just zip them up and email them? I'd agree with this. Alternatively, if there's just a few songs, and you can't figure out how to rip, you could just order the individual MP3 files from Amazon.com -- generally costs $0.89/each. Then she'd just have to figure out how to put them on a CD (or find a family member who knows how). That said, I'd still recommend emailing - although you might have to send one at a time, due to mail size limits.
Glass To The Arson Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Easily You can host them for free on websites that she can access send them via e-mail She can download them illegally Zip file and email
/dev/null Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Install Linux and run an FTP server. If you're running behind a SOHO firewall/router you will have to redirect port 21 to the IP address of the FTP server Or you could just email them
