  1. Nate is an idiot but I wouldn't mind this
  2. One good point that Nate Geary made is Keenan Allen went for a 4th. He had 110 catches last year. So a 2nd for Diggs is about right.
  3. With the last and final pick of round 1 at 32 the KC Chiefs select Nate Wiggins CB Clemson. He will slip right in and replace L'Jarius Sneed. Although Newton is rated higher, I think him playing the same position as Chris Jones leads me to my pick. As the best man-coverage cornerback in this draft class, Wiggins is a perfect fit for Kansas City. It’s true: he doesn’t have the size that most Chiefs cornerbacks have — but neither did Trent McDuffie. While McDuffie has more weight and density, Wiggins is longer — and should profile better as an outside cornerback. And like McDuffie, Wiggins’s film shows an unexpected level of physicality and strength. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2024/3/21/24104248/chiefs-draft-clemson-nate-wiggins-man-coverage#:~:text=As the best man-coverage,better as an outside cornerback.
  4. Bigger impact in 2024: Chase Young or Nate Peterman?
  5. Yes it was. The Bills' playoff losses to the Chiefs were generally close games. I don't recall Diggs showing up in any of them. In this most recent defeat, Josh Allen averaged fewer yards per attempt when throwing to Diggs, than Nate Peterman averaged in his worst season in the NFL. It's difficult for a WR to get much worse than that. Comparing Diggs' postseason accomplishments to those of Reich is like comparing a five year old child's crayon drawing to a painting from a great artist.
  6. I voted trade down if possible. There are still a number of WR left and most could help the Bills if they pan out. I don’t know that I’d be tempted by Nate Wiggins, but I would have had to think hard if Verse, Latu or even Robinson is left.
  7. When he did the quarterback draft with Mina Kimes, Nate Tice made a comment about some of Josh Allen's turnovers make him crazy for a few seconds and he thinks "why would you even attempt that throw," but then when he thinks about it he realizes, "Oh yeah, I've seen him complete that pass like six times in a row." (Btw, both he and Kimes said they had Allen as the clear number 2 QB in the league.) So, part of the issue is what other sports might call usage rate. Allen is involved in so many of the plays that, of course, he is going to have more turnovers. However, the other issue is that he attempts throws nobody else should because he completes passes nobody else can on the regular.
  8. When my Broncos loving friends hired Nate Hackett, I tried to warn them. They accused me of sour grapes and touted his time working with Rodgers. When the Jets hired Hackett, I tried to warn Jets fans on their message board. They accused me of sour grapes and of having an agenda because I'm a Bills fan, and touted his time working with Rodgers. I saw all I needed to see when he was OC for the Bills. I admit that OCs can grow and change and get better in time, but Hackett hasn't. He simply can't Hackett in this league.
  9. Detroit trades into #24 Brugler's available 10 TERRION ARNOLD CB1 Alabama 18 GRAHAM BARTON OC1 Duke 23 JACKSON POWERS-JOHNSON OC2 Oregon 24 NATE WIGGINS CB3 Clemson 25 COOPER DEJEAN CB4 Iowa 27 TYLER GUYTON OT6 Oklahoma 28 JOHNNY NEWTON DT2 Illinois 29 JORDAN MORGAN OG2 Arizona 30 KOOL-AID MCKINSTRY CB5 Alabama
  10. I promise you my dude, nobody wants the Bills WR’s to be a crappy group on paper. everyone here wants them to be awesome. If Coleman is JJ 2.0, the WR group will be good enough to my standards. If he is a normal rookie, I think this will be the weakest group since 2019 that Josh has had. I will enjoy the ride every Sunday, but there’s no reason to lie to ourselves either. I look around the league and I think the Bills are in the bottom 10 as it stands as a WR group. I pay attention to the entire NFL. Why would I pretend differently? Of what benefit is it to me? So we can all hold hands and sing about how great they are while we wait for the season to start? some folks enjoy the actual football aspect as well as being fans of the Bills. Other folks like the Bills exclusively. Neither is wrong for consuming their entertainment the way they would like, but asking folks to lie to themselves is bizarre. Are there facts about Nate or just opinions? I mean, CLAYPOOL has been shown the door by 3 franchises in 2 seasons. He’s a league minimum guy who by physical talent alone should be worth more in the league. But there can’t be facts that he’s probably gonna suck, just opinions, which are subjective. Right?
  11. Nate Hackett drawing up plays to get Mike Williams open 👆🏼 😂
  12. I'm seeing weird skepticism about McDermott's ability to develop Safeties in the Lewis Cine conversation. Let's deep dive into how successful McDermott has actually been coaching Safeties in the NFL and getting the most out of them... We all know about Poyer and Hyde. Anyone not giving McDermott credit for those 2 can just stop reading because you're clearly just being silly. Quinten Mikell (Philadelphia) and Kurt Coleman (Carolina) became Pro Bowl Safeties under McDermott at a time when the Pro Bowl meant a little something. Coleman was actually productive and successful with McDermott in Philadelphia, not as good when the parted ways, and then a 7 interception pro bowler when they were reunited in Carolina. Mike Mitchell (Carolina) went to Carolina in 2013 from Oakland on a 1 year contract worth 1 million dollars and had his best year in the NFL by far under McDermott as DC, helping him to get a 5 year, $25 million deal with the Steelers, where he never matched that success or even came close to it. Nate Allen was drafted in the 2nd round by the Eagles in 2010, started as a rookie, and had 3 interceptions, 8 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble and 2 sacks in his rookie year. Haruki Nakamura went from backup nobody with the Ravens to legitimate contributing starter under McDermott with Carolina for one season... the only season of his brief career he intercepted any passes in the NFL... and he got 2. (EDIT: Brought up Roman Harper, but got rid of him from the post after some good observations) I understand the worry right now about our Safeties, but I feel like if there's any position we should give McDermott the benefit of the doubt on, it's that one.
  13. Bad take. Nate Geary was clearly a guy who was dying on the “Diggs ain’t going anywhere” hill, and now his brain is broken. Beane and co. are paying Diggs an extra $3M this year to not play here. That’s what they think of him.
  14. Okay.... The Bills are SIX picks away. My top 10 remaining: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama Brian Thomas, WR, LSU Graham Barton, IOL, Duke Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma State EDITED after Philly pick
  15. Two corner links I have heard in the last couple of days on podcasts that when I've done some cross checking seem to check out: Kool-Aid is getting a lot of looks by Jacksonville and Nate Wiggins and the 49ers. Told that John Lynch has loved Wiggins since the start but thought until recently he had no chance to still be there. If he gets in range don't be shocked if the 9ers even trade up slightly for him.
  16. You just posted what the “Democrat plot” would look like. You just posted. 'Dropping out would be a big risk. But there's some threshold below which continuing to run is a bigger risk,' polling guru Nate Silver wrote on social media last week. 'Are we there yet? I don't know. But it's more than fair to ask.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13481849/amp/democrat-plot-biden-replacement-clinton-obama-pelosi-schumer.html Klein, Silver, they are telling you they can do it and this is what it would look like. The Democrat Plot. It’s about saving Democracy. More… “The Democratic party machine has now elected to hold an online nomination, complete with a 'virtual roll call,' to formally select Biden as their nominee ahead of the DNC convention in Chicago in mid-August. Part of the reason to go 'virtual' is to ensure a more controlled process should the party decide to select a replacement candidate. In that case, top Democratic leaders would quietly draft the substitute nominee in advance.”
  17. This draft has gone similar to version 1 in the sense of what is left for the Bills. I think what this exercise has shown is that there is a better than average chance that receiver wise everyone but the top 3 and Thomas is available. The first vote was a Mitchell v Legette run off and I expect this to be the same. My BPA by my board however is Nate Wiggins.
  18. Good for him. Best of luck to you, Nate, except when you play the Bills.
  19. Welcome aboard Nate - using logic - I love it. But Frazier is my guy. Regardless. I’ve started a Football version of Moneyball…. All aboard!!!!
  20. I just watched the whole thing. All I can say is: I refer you to John Stewart (usually not my guy, but spot-on here), and to Nate Silver: https://www.natesilver.net/p/joe-biden-should-drop-out And it’s not just that Joe Biden is 81 now — it’s that he’s seeking a second term and wants to continue being president until he’s 86! Michael Jordan wasn’t awful with the Wizards, but he also wasn’t about to ask for a four-year contract extension. An 86-year-old president is a ridiculous and untenable proposition. Few world leaders are anywhere close to that old, other than in authoritarian countries — and none of them are the American president, the hardest job in the world. Is an 86-year-old Biden being president as ridiculous and untenable as an 82-year-old Trump being president? (Trump just turned 78 so would be 82 by the end of his second term.) For me, the answer is still no. In fact, although this is an increasingly unpopular view, I think Biden’s had a pretty good first term. And if I lived in a swing state2, I’d still vote for Biden — if for no other reason than because I think January 6 is so disqualifying to outweigh everything else.
