Who will be this year's cut that generates 50 pages of discussion and goes on to NFL obscurity?
-
First I must say, Jon Feliciano has been a huge factor in the run game.. it seems that when he is out we’re getting 2/3ypc but when he’s in Moss/Singletary are breaking huge runs and they have huge creases and lanes to run through.. Definitely feel like he is an above average guard and an excellent backup center in the event that Morse goes down... Daryl Williams OTOH has been playing at a very high level this year.. He has been very good on that right side of the line.. I think of all our free agent signings this offseason minus Stefon Diggs, Williams by far has been the most impressive.. Allen has had a fantastic pocket all year for him to step into... Dawkins, Morse and Williams giving him plenty of time.. So, if we were looking to extend Williams and Feliciano, what do you guys think their contracts would look like?

Sorry if this was already touched upon..... if Williams didn’t grab that fumble by his fingertips, could be a different story. Just another big play today. Go bills!

I wonder who gets the call up. Yeldon has been good when he touches the ball, so this should be interesting.

CONGRATS to Antonio (and also Isiah McKenzie)!

Gregg Williams is out as the defensive coordinator of the New York Jets. The Jets fired Williams on Monday just one day after allowing a game-ending Hail Mary to the Las Vegas Raiders that dropped the Jets to 0-12 on the season. Williams faced heavy criticism after the game because the Jets blitzed on the final play, leaving speedy rookie receiver Henry Ruggs III in 1-on-1 coverage with no safety help. It led many wondering if the Jets really were trying to intentionally lose the game so they do not jeopardize their chances of losing the No. 1 pick and possibly quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Of course, it was hard to fathom that Williams would have been retained at the end of the season anyway, so there is not a whole lot of support to the theory the Jets were intentionally trying to lose on the final play of the game. After the stunt he pulled last week his coaching career in the NFL is likely over. It has been fifteen years but can you reflect on the Williams administration? What was his leadership style like? Why did ultimately fail? Why did he not get another permanent head coaching job? How do Buffalo fans perceive him?

Quinnen is on the trade block. Jets asking for a 2nd round pick. Has Oliver been good for Buffalo?

Shut down Watt, mostly on his own. Showcase-type performance late in a contract year. That young man is going to get PAID, no?

Has anyone seen any specific information about Williams? I am surprised he has recovered to the point of starting at RT again. I suppose the fact that we're not hearing his name is a good thing. He did have 1 penalty, but if he can play like he did pre-injury that would be an enormous boost for us.

Has anyone else seen enough of this punk? Last night was typical for his "coached" teams. The NFLPA ought to send owners a statement that nobody will play for him. He is a threat to the career of anyone on the opposing team. At a minimum, with the game out of hand, which his often are, some offense should run a play that ends up with a full speed tight end running over him on the sideline. The man is disgusting, and its been going on for a long time.

Unnecessary shade last night. Let’s show our love Buffalo. What can we do?

Just curious with how hard he ran behind the 2nd team offensive line last week against the first team dolphins defense. Does he get a second shot this week against the colts? We have had some struggles running the ball this year at times and he seemed to really get downhill with some speed. I know there are other players who could get activated ahead of him like Stills etc...Just a thought.. Go Bills!!!

His left arm was hooked which forced an alligator arm attempt. There is NO QUESTION that he makes the catch if that didnt happen. In slow mo you can see he almost still made the grab. Great defense by the DB. Can we PLEASE put to bed the idea this was a drop??? On another note...why are you Duke haters so quick to label this guy as either a #5 or even not good enough to be in the league WHEN HE WAS A ROOKIE with very few games under his belt?? Why do top draft picks get the benefit of the doubt based on lack of experience when they are the ones supposed to be so much better than the undrafted guys? Seems undrafted guys are expected to kill it out the gate or they shouldnt be on the team. Duke has 5 NFL games under his belt. Lets compare his first 5 games to DK Metcalf who has a future HOF throwing to him and was the #2 guy on the roster: DK - 26 Targets 12 Receptions 2 TD 267 Yards DuKe- 29 Targets 16 Receptions 1 TD 215 Yards If Duke had Russell Wilson as his QB, who doubts Duke doesnt have just as good or better numbers than DK?? Let's be real here.

I put it in the Chubba thread but wanted to break it out. I saw him as a freshman or sophomore and thought he was the best HS athlete that I had ever seen. In fact, I wrote that on here about 5 or 6 years ago. He’s not eligible this year but will be a fun player to track for those of you looking for a guy to watch in 2020. He will be a star IMO and I don’t care that he weighs 170 lbs. I’m on record that I will be banging the table for this guy to be on the Bills in 16 months. At any rate, enjoy some highlights from HS and his freshman year. Start salivating now!!

https://theathletic.com/1498047/2019/12/31/bills-all-22-review-why-the-film-shows-duke-williams-should-be-active-in-the-playoffs-and-2-young-defenders-show-potential?source=shared-article 1. Why Duke Williams should be active vs. the Texans over Robert Foster Immediately following Duke Williams’ six-catch, 108-yard game against the Jets, I was hesitant to think the Bills would change course at wide receiver. They aren’t prone to impulsive decisions from only one week of evidence, and Robert Foster has turned into a significant contributor on special-teams coverage units. However, after digging into the film (...) the Bills should make Williams active over Foster. (...)Foster [has] always been lacking is in the overall deception of his routes. There is no doubting the player’s speed, and that element of his game is the reason the Bills have continued to go back to him. However, in non-deep ball situations, there is little opportunity for effectiveness with a varying route tree. The cornerback can easily decipher what Foster is doing with his footwork and body language (..) Williams (...) made a handful of mistakes against the Jets (two drops, running a route short, whiffing on a run blocking opportunity), what he provided as a route runner and playmaker far outweighed them. Williams isn’t the quickest of receivers, though he makes up for it with his footwork. He gives his quarterbacks a throwing window by deceiving the cornerback at the top of his route. The double-move Williams ran at the end of the game to get him open for a 41-yard gain is something we haven’t seen from Foster the entire season. (...) He can make difficult plays in the tough areas of the field that require physicality that neither Foster nor Isaiah McKenzie has shown a consistent ability to do. Williams also delivered a helmet-twisting block (...) At this point, Williams is a better offensive threat than Foster, and the Bills should adjust accordingly. Williams is not the best on special teams, and it’s part of the reason why he was inactive from Week 8 through Week 16. However, either Taron Johnson or Kevin Johnson can fill in capably for Foster as the primary punt gunner. It would allow the Bills to implement a two-pronged attack with their third receiver, using the different skill sets of Williams and McKenzie to keep the Texans on their toes. Jessica defeated former #1 Caroline Wozniacki to get there. I knew she was a pro but in the 200s + last time I looked (which is incredible in its own right). Now she’s trending into the world top 25! Amazing family!
