  1. This confirms my belief that Saint Doug and Nate Hackett DESTROYED the career of EJ Manuel
  2. 'Bernie Lomax' doesn't work either...😕 Although he did have a higher QB rating than Nate. 🤔

  4. I’m going to assume this is a topic you have little to no connection with. Correct me if my assumption is wrong. Earlier I mentioned the sugar caught up to me and other family members (mother). I’m a Black male in my early 40s, grew up an athlete, and have always measured around 6’0” 190. Never smoke, drank, or did drugs. The one vice I’ve always had is that I love sweets. Candy, ice cream, soda, sugary juice, you name it, it was a friend of mine. Also never cared too much about what I put in my body diet wise because my attitude was always “I’ll just run it off.” A few years ago I started having frequent urination symptoms that had me believing my prostrate would be an issue, because (yay) Black men are also at an elevated risk of prostrate cancer. Then the excessive thirst started. It got so bad that I’d wake up with the driest mouth imaginable. So dry my tongue was rough, zero moisture or saliva. Went in to see what was going on and was informed I was pre-diabetic. My mother was diagnosed with type 2 some years back and also had a sugar issue. In addition to all my favorites, she’d drink juice that was so sweet it verged on being syrup. She does have a weight problem, but my current measurements are 6’0” 195; I go to the gym 3x a week. While it’s true I wasn’t explicitly told, “your sugar consumption has led to your condition,” it’s also true I didn’t think I’d be explaining to a guy on a Bills message board how elevated sugar levels are an issue. If I knew I would’ve had the doc put it in writing. I can still do that if you’d like to hear from yet another medical professional… To understand the sugar argument, one has to understand how insulin sensitivity works in those with elevated blood sugar levels. Metcalf has a sugary diet. You seem to think there’s no causation or correlation for later problems associated with diabetes. The common element in the studies you reference state “sugar leads to obesity which is one of the main problems of type 2 diabetes.” Metcalf isn’t in that group therefore he’s not at risk (your words). Anyone can become diabetic or at least pre-diabetic - look at me. The article I referenced earlier that stated “sugar increases diabetic risks both directly and indirectly” cannot be refuted. I don’t know the athletes who had the lesser pre-diabetic diagnosis, but these are some notable names who were diagnosed with the full blown type 2: Patrick Peterson, Jackie Robinson, Arthur Ashe, and Billie Jean King. If I asked you to bet your house that Metcalf’s sugar intake and elevated blood sugar levels will never lead to at least a pre-diabetic diagnosis later in life, would you back your claim? Actually, how could I ask you to stand on your conviction? I couldn’t get you to bet a friendly amount among a neutral team’s fanbase that the Nate Clements hit on Tom Brady would draw a flag in today’s NFL. 😅
  5. Blue Collar U is the alumni team from UB featuring players from their golden era with Nate Oats. They also won last year's TBT and the $1 million dollar prize. Today they played the opening round game against Big 5, which is a team made up of Philly schools (Temple, St. Joes, LaSalle, etc.) After trailing all game, they rallied to win it 78-77. Still alive. (FYI, TBT uses something called the Elam Ending. Whatever the score is after the first timeout under 4 minutes left to play, 8 points get added to the leading score. That is the target number to win. So in this game Big 5 led 70-60. Big 5 only needed 8 points to win while BCU needed 18. This comeback was the largest Elam Ending comeback in tournament history.)
  6. When I see these numbers I think 6 Colton Schmidt 25 Roland Hooks 37 Nate Odomes 84 Keith McKeller Good times!
  7. Nate Geary on Twitter: "I wonder how Ken Dorsey was planning to use Hines this year. Was it going to be different from last year? They signed Damien Harris and one would think he’s in line for RB2 duties. At best Hines was going to be KR/PR and RB3. Not sure there’s an immediate replacement needed." / Twitter
  8. Nate Odomes and that pick right before the half time in the last SB the Bills played
  9. I was so-so on the signing of Walker, but I really thought that Dockery was going to be good for us. Boy, was I wrong. He cashed in and didn't care. I was in the minority on Nate Clements, I didn't want him back, so I was fine with us not putting the tag on him. Although, I do wish we had kept Antoine Winfield.
  10. When Mike Mularkey started getting McDonalds cheeseburgers as the pregame meal. Was it Nate Clements that started it?
  11. Sam Adams high stepping into the end zone or Nate Clements absolutely laying the lumber on Brady
  12. Leonard Smith was a piece of work. Nasty. One of the toughest hitters I've ever seen. And, a real cool dude also. Nate was a great guy as well.
  13. Nate Clements decapitated Tom Brady on the field and we held them to zero TDs……and still lost the game
  14. My favorite player on the 80s/90s defense — Nate Odomes press coverage “squat”.
  15. Leonard Smith and Nate Odoms showed up at annual tailgate and the golf tournament day before. Both were very nice social guys.
  16. I remember S Leonard Smith on the 90's Bills roster carved a Buffalo Bills logo in his hair and the entire school it seemed had it within a weeks time. Good S too, I really liked him and Nate Odoms.
  17. Year 3, actually. Allen started 2018, Diggs first year in Buffalo was 2020. I don't think the mistake was in the WR corp in 2018, though, I think it was in the QB room. They were undergoing a roster makeover. Allen's first season as a Bill was not supposed to be his first season starting, but for the mess that was AJ McCarron and Nate Peterman forcing him into action, when he truly did have no one to throw to. 2019 he had John Brown and Cole Beasely, so I would hardly say he was "without anything even resembling a competent WR" as @Billl states, though he may have been soley referencing 2018.
  18. I loved Freddy but Nate Clements was the better player #22 and I don’t know much about George Saimes but Antoine Winfield was great at #26 . Also for #29 I got Derrick Burroughs
  19. I love Fred, so I’m happy with the list, but Nate Clements probably at least has an argument for number 22.

  21. I am not sure he was first. I tuned in WGR the morning (I know, first mistake) and Jeremy White’s stooge (Nate Geary?) was making a big deal about this. I turned it in again three hours later and was still incredulous about it. You and everyone else needs to start ignoring this horrid, useless, arrogant for no reason troll who calls himself a genius and is anything but.
  22. Embarrassing is starting Nate Peterman over Josh Allen, drafting JP Losman/Todd Collins/EJ Manuel, Rob Johnson, Kyle Orton, Fitzpatrick and his dumb game sealing interceptions. Tyrod did what he had to do to win games and was coached down to ride the running game and not turn the ball over. Even game managers still have to extend drives when needed. Yes, the Jax games sucked, but Buffalo wasn’t rly gonna go anywhere in the playoffs anyways. I think the goal was to break the drought and build from there. The hate for this guy is unbelievable. It’s okay to not be a fan of someone, but no need to put them down by calling them trash or embarrassing. If he was trash I don’t think he would still be on an NFL roster.
  23. Got us over the hump but, as many here have said, he was even more cautious and risk averse than Trent Edwards. The Cleveland Browns played him in only a few games the next year. I'm sure most fans remember him fondly for the first playoff berth but, yes, he was frustrating to watch, particularly in that Jags game. Having said that, we should've kept him one more year. The idea of Nate Peterman being a bridge clearly blew up in our faces.
