  2. This (not sure why so many people seem to be confused by it). At least he didn't reference Nate doing "one of worst coaching jobs ever" (though he was probably thinking it) 😛
  3. I'm not sure how "nobody seemed to even realize he was hurt" Dane Jackson was injured and taken off the field. Micah Hyde was also injured and taken off the field - he only played about 2/3 of the snaps. It was in the media after the game that Hyde had gone to the ER. McDermott said in his presser that he'd called Nate Breske, the Bills head trainer, to find out if he should go to the hospital and was told both Jackson and Hyde were being sent home. I think the severity (shut him down for the season) was a surprise, but the fact of the injury (which uncharacteristically had him out for 1/3 of the game) was not.
  4. This is why they keep propping up the old guy. Nate Silver: Democrats think Kamala Harris would lose to Trump. Polls say they’re probably right. She can’t string a sentence together, she’s deeply unlikable, and she has a lifetime record of nonachievement, broken only by spells of support for prosecutorial misconduct. https://www.natesilver.net/p/democrats-think-kamala-harris-would?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=1198116&post_id=136782759&isFreemail=true&r=9bg2k&utm_medium=email .
  5. Consistent Signs of Erosion in Black and Hispanic Support for Biden New York Times, by Nate Cohen President Joe Biden is underperforming among nonwhite voters in New York Times/Siena College national polls over the last year, helping to keep the race close in a hypothetical rematch against former President Donald Trump. On average, Biden leads Trump by just 53% to 28% among registered nonwhite voters in a compilation of Times/Siena polls from 2022 and 2023, which includes over 1,500 nonwhite respondents. //snip// Democrats have lost ground among nonwhite voters in almost every election over the last decade, even as racially charged fights over everything from a border wall to kneeling during the national anthem might have been expected to produce the exact opposite result. 6. So like the Jest with Nate Hackett....
  7. That may be true but, GB, I'm not that guy. Blitzing is not part of my mantra and never has been. Making a blanket statement like that, which doesn't apply to me, is not an effective refutation. I'm going off mantra here because these are unique circumstances. Nate and Aaron spent the last few months building a prototype. It's new, inevitably still incomplete, and built with a hodge-podge of materials including some that are sub-spec (the OL). The best way to destroy something like that is to put it under extreme stress.
  8. Exactly! In fact, he may be the next Nate Hackett, who had a #1 Offense in GB with some old QB.
  9. Yeah, true. I am sure Nate Hackett worked has azzoff to be a great HC in Denver too. I am probably something of a Dorsey apologist to this point myself........having made liberal note last season of the fact that a 1st year OC hasn't won a SB since the 1980's. But let's be clear what this thread is about..........@eball is just ALWAYS looking for an angle to insult the Bills fan base for their "relative-results-based" analysis of players/coaches. His takes were always bad but ever since he quit on his season tickets in frustration with the Pegula's when the Bills hired McDermott he's been on a mission to make up for his lack of unconditional support by attacking the average Bills fan........apparently to make up for his betrayal.
  10. Ahhh, Nate Diaz. The man is making so much more money now being Jake Paul’s punching bag than he ever did in his MMA career. I was doing pretty well there for a bit betting on closely lined fights. Lately, I’ve been killing it in multiplier DFS contests. Been cashing checks just about every week. The Singapore card was my worst day in a while. Wagered $45 and won $60. We’ll see how Paris goes today.
  11. I dabble 😆 Nate Diaz has made me a good amount on betting submission wins
  12. Nate Hackett is trending because he came across as a complete goofball this week.
  13. My trifecta is Joe Marino (Locked on Bills), Bruce Nolan (The Bruce Exclusive), and the Cover 1 crew (mostly Nate and Anthony). I do have to give a tip of the hat to Howard & Jeremy (it's radio, so does that count 🤷‍♂️). During the whole emergence of Tyrod Taylor, their "Who's the quarterback, thooo?" became Western New York vernacular. Priceless. I also gotta say, more "Bruce-isms" have crept into my daily life than I realize, until I think about it. My top Bruce-isms are: -Isolate the variable. -Expectations minus reality equal disappointment. -Intellectual honesty. Dude just cranks out catchy sayings like it's his job. Would make a good community college professor, as a side hustle.
  14. Yeah, but have you seen his trick throws??? I mean come on!! Can you imagine what he could do on an NFL field??? 🤣 PITT QB | Trick Shots | Nate Peterman - YouTube
  15. Bears are carrying 4 QBs on the 90 man roster, including one with 5 NFL starts - Nate Peterman. Maybe we can sign him at halftime. (Except he never plays for us in the second half...)
  16. I saw that good luck to UB Bulls quarterback Cole Snyder but he is very limited as a quarterback. It’s disappointing that UB Bulls football program still haven’t brought in a quarterback that can run better and is more athletic. It’s going to cost us the MAC East again most likely because UB Bulls don’t get it with a duel threat run pass quarterback like Rourke at Ohio Bobcats we aren’t winning. UB Bulls are like the rest of the NFL AFC East teams that don’t have Josh Allen. Again if you can’t run like a running back with your quarterback you are not winning the MAC championship. Coach after coach at UB with the exception of Turner Gill don’t get it. It’s embarrassing Turner Gill got it with way less facilities than what UB Bulls football coaches have to sell to student athletes now. Turner Gill was smart he used Zack Maynard to come in to run the wildcat. Cole Snyder runs like he is carrying a piano on his back. This UB Bulls coaching staff doesn’t get it. I am concerned about the new UB Bulls offensive coordinator DJ Mangas who is 34 years old a high school coach and never was a FBS college offensive coordinator before other than a short time at 28 years old at William and Mary what is it with Buffalo football teams and William and Mary football. Which could be good or could be bad we will see? But just because it worked out for Nate Oats for UB Bulls basketball doesn’t mean it will always work. I agree that UB OC Shane Montgomery had to go because of his conservative play and offensive philosophy from another time but I am not sure a high school coach with limited offensive coordinator experience was the way to go. I don’t like the William and Mary connection either Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott is a terrible leader and is very challenged as a head coach in my opinion. But UB Bulls head coach Maurice Linquist doesn’t get anymore passes now in year three if he can’t win the MAC championship in Detroit this season he needs to be fired as a head coach for failure. UB Bulls would be wise to move on with a new head coach regardless of the Camellia Bowl victory last season. I personally don’t see UB Bulls beating Ohio Bobcats this season. UB Bulls will probably play above there ceiling against Wisconsin Badgers than lose to some lowly FBS team they should have beaten. That sums up the Maurice Linquist era at UB Bulls which is disappointing other than Camellia Bowl victory it’s mediocre at best for Maurice Linquist. Maurice Linquist won the Camellia Bowl I get that which was great. But was it Maurice Linquist the head coach or the UB donors investment in MAC football at UB? I will go with the UB donors investment in MAC football for winning the Camellia Bowl over anything great that Maurice Linquist has done or brought to the table for UB Bulls football. Maurice Linquist has cultural advantages coaching at UB over the other MAC schools it’s ridiculous these UB coaches should be winning. I would clean house everyone gets fired if UB Bulls lose in football, men’s and women’s basketball head coaches go. I have seen enough of the UB Bulls women’s basketball program run into the ground that Felisha Jack built after she left for Syracuse Orange ridiculous. It’s time to fire UB athletic director Mark Alnutt if UB Bulls don’t start winning MAC championships in football, men’s and women’s basketball. You can win at UB athletics now because of the facilities. Again hopefully Maurice Linquist wins but I have my doubts on Maurice Linquist being anything more than winning enough to not get fired but most likely never winning the MAC championship because he doesn’t get the offensive part of the game as a defensive coaching background like a Lance Leipold who was a quarterback coming from a offensive coaching background. Plus I think Lance Leipold was a better program builder than Maurice Linquist just telling like it is hopefully I will be wrong in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo
  17. Topic. Title. I'm gonna put some work in today boys and girls, so strap in. To start: why am I comparing the Niners to the Bills? Well our regime started in 2017, as did theirs. They have an offensive coach, we have a defensive coach. And neither team has won the big one. So let's get started. HC/GM records: Shanny/Lynch: 52-46 McBeane: 62-35 Losing seasons: Shanny/Lynch: 3 McBeane: 1 Playoff records: Shanny/Lynch: 3 playoff appearances, 6-3, 1 SB appearance McBeane: 5 playoff appearances, 4-5, 0 SB appearance So there you have it. The numbers are pretty interesting. McD has run the steadier ship from a regular season perspective, but when SF makes the playoffs, they go a little deeper. I started with the results, because this is a results-based game. But let's enter the ultimate hindsight chamber. The DRAFT. 2017 Shanny/Lynch: 1 player still on the Niners (Kittle, All-Pro talent, 5th rounder) Reuben Foster (#31) and Solomon Thomas (#3 overall) were tremendous busts Some guys were fine placeholders and are still floating in the league (Witherspoon, Beathard, Trent Taylor) McBeane: 3 players still on the Bills (Tre White, Pro Bowler, #27. Milano, All-Pro, 5th rounder. Dawkins, fat but an NFL starter, 2nd rounder. No "busts" in the traditional sense for the Bills outside of Nate Peterman but he was a fifth rounder ZayDay was mediocre here but has carved out a career. Tanner Vallejo is a league STer, floating around as above. 2017 verdict: McBeane in a landslide, tbh. Editor's note: it was at this point, I realized I needed to speed this thing up, so the draft results will be briefer. If I do not point out a tremendous bust, it is because I do not believe there was one. I also decided to quit after 2021. 2018 Niners Mike McGlinchey (#9, good player, no longer a Niner) Fred Warner (#70, homerun pick, All-Pro) Bills Allen (#7, legit the best pick in Bills history) Edmunds (#16, no longer a Bill, "good" player if you like scarecrows?) Taron Johnson (#121, good player, starter) Wyatt Teller (strike against the Bills bc "Cody Ford over me?") 2018 verdict: McBeane in a landslide again? I'm thinking yes. 2019 Niners Nick Bosa (homerun, #3) Deebo (homerun) Dre Greenlaw (starter, good pick) Bills Ed Oliver (meh pick but I guess he's fine) Cody Ford (shoot me) Devin Singletary (solid) Dawson Knox (good-great pick) 2019 verdict: You just knew Shanny was gonna get this one. Cody Ford and Big Ed just can't compete. 2020: Niners: Kinlaw (kind of a sneaky bust? #14, played 10 games in 2 years?) Aiyuk (hit, #25 overall) Bills: Davis (hit) Dane Jackson (started a year, so I will call this a hit) Zack Moss (3rd round RB bust) Not including STers 2020 verdict: I'm tempted to call this a push, Aiyuk is better than Gabe but is he better than Gabe+Dane? 2021: Niners Hufunga (massive hit, All-Pro, #180) Aaron Banks (hit, starter, IOL) Lance (gigantic bust?) Trey Sermon (third round RB bust) Elijah Mitchell (hit, late RB) Bills Rousseau (hit, not homerun) Spencer Brown (I'm tempted to call this a hit, as he has basically started when healthy his whole career) Hamlin (less tempted to call this a hit, objectively I think he was not that good last year when pressed into duty, obviously rooting for him) 2021 verdict: I think this has to go Niners. We have the positional value but I think they have the better players. So what have we learned here? I think the conclusions that we can draw is that our parallel team in the Bay Area has not been some dominant drafting vehicle or some league leader in success. In fact, our records and drafting history stack up considerably well against them. They have their fair share of first round busts, far more than the Bills have. And HIGH first round busts, Solomon Thomas and Trey Lance loom much larger than Ed Oliver/Tremaine Edmunds just being starter-level players. I think SF gets a little bit of a pass for their shakier seasons because of their QB turmoil, but by the same token, don't pass on Mahomes for Solomon Thomas and don't draft busts like Lance. Now we can turn to the peanut gallery. The lesser minds who have almost certainly skipped to the last paragraph. The @Gugny 's and @BringBackFergy's of the world.
  18. Nate Peterman was 10/18 115yds with a TD against the Colts last week.
  19. Tyson Bagent of the Bears is the guy I want. In a camp fight with PJ Walker and that Nate Peterman
  20. Things going for the Bills: Better QB More cohesion/continuity Rodgers has started slowly 3 seasons in a row Rodgers is 39 and did not look good last year, and the Jets' offensive line is worse than the Packers' It is hard to maintain elite defenses across seasons Nate Hackett is not very good McDermott has owned this coaching tree, and the Bills have embarrassed Saleh before Things going for the Jets: Home primetime game Hype for the new-look offense/Rodgers Defense that Allen has only dominated once in 6 tries since 2020 I don't think we sweep the Jets and Dolphins, we will drop 1 or 2 games between them. But the Bills are perfectly capable of winning week 1, even in dominating fashion. They have won tougher games
