  1. Just more evidence of Allen’s greatness, so much winning year after year with a deep, but not elite roster while carrying an average coaching staff.
  2. PFF sucks and he's absolutely a top 5-7 coach Do you remember the roster that he got us to the playoffs with? Charles Clay was our number one pass catching option Preston Brown and Ramon Humber at LBr lol The Sean McDermott slander is disgustingly sad for what he has done with our franchise People act like we lucked into Peyton Manning who was a guarantee basically not to bust lol we literally picked the kid who had the biggest bust potential and they groomed him Sean McDermott 100% gets credit for being a calming influence around Josh Allen And helping him grow.. just like belichick gets credit for helping brady
  3. I actually think the opposite. Having JA should cost you points because Josh Allen will Josh Allen regardless. Which is why I think Brian Billick was a stinking genius and best coach on the planet at the time he won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer (defense aside).
  4. For me, if talking about "most excited" it's always going to be watching Josh Allen above all else by far. It's like if there's anything that might be so close to a guarantee it can't be any closer, it's that Josh Allen will amaze. However, what I'm also interested to see if the D can take the next step. But Bosa certainly doesn't install much confidence lol. I'm actually interested to see the rookie L. Jackson a bit more than others myself.
  5. Allen got his guaranteed money after the salary cap went up by a huge amount compared to when Watson got his. The salary cap is 279 million versus 208 in 2022. Effectively Watson got 1.1 times the amount of the Salary Cap at the time in guaranteed money while Allen got 0.89 times the salary cap. So while yes, Allen got $20 million more than Watson in guaranteed money, it is based on a much larger pool of money available
  6. How the Sabres do has no bearing ant all on how the Bills do. As long as they have Josh Allen at quarterback, they will be a good team. And if McBeane gets removed, there will be many good GM’s and coaches clamoring for the positions.
  7. When a guy has a historically bad run with a team in the big 4 leagues, it is not irrational to go "man this guy could really be a major liability in the post McBeane/Allen era".
  8. He has a history of overruling his personnel people in both orgs does he. Educate me, what is his history of "overruling Beane and McDemott. all I can think of he was a major supporter of drafting Allen, are you going to hold that against him? Sorry this thread is absurd, starting in one direction and now just resorting to trashing the owner..
  9. hard salary cap is a strict limit on salaries by design. owners would hardly need to be convinced not to offer completely guaranteed contracts of that scale (there has only been ...ever). Josh Allen's guaranteed money dwarfs Watsons. he didn't come up up with the idea to collude......he's just serving his masters.
  10. Im very excited to see this defensive front, especially Landon Jackson. also looking forward to mad max getting an interception and then showing his speed on the return. and interested to see how Moore looks with Josh throwing him the ball
  11. People forget how the Bills were run just prior to McBeane. Pegula was impressed with Russ Brandon in the purchasing process and they foolishly continued his influence on the franchise. You had a dysfunctional period with Whaley/Brandon/Marrone that culminated with Marrone walking away voluntarily after an OK season to be an O-Line coach. Then you had "dont let him leave the room" Rex Ryan, Brandon advising Ryan what kind of wine to bring the Pegulas and that circus. Then you had Ryan getting fired, Whaley not being "privy" to the coach being fired, then conducting an embarrassing and inhumane "operation human shield" using Anthony Lynn. It was not going well at all. McDermott was a godsend. He has the perfect personality for dealing with Terry Pegula. He earns trust and is a good guy, is respectful, but also forceful and gets what he wants. I also think that even without Allen, his floor is pretty high, and worst case, if we are in QB purgatory again, he can pull off the Mike Tomlin smoke and mirrors bit.
  12. I heard Josh Stamer used to get in bar fights around Buffalo.
  13. Excited to see the Bills play live, here in Atlanta, and eager to watch as Bills Mafia takes over the city and the stadium. Barring injury (to me or him), it will be my first opportunity to watch Josh in-person. side note: For many years I never missed at least one game each season. Even living in Atlanta I had Bills season tickets for a couple of seasons during the Super Bowl years. This it the longest period (since 2008) in my life I've gone without seeing them play. I may try to get up to Highmark one last time before it's over. Go Bills!
  14. Josh Stamer used to get the crowd at the stadium super fired up on special teams before kickoffs
  15. I had a dream recently in which the most vivid memory was like a commercial on tv with Josh holding the trophy and the subject was the upcoming parade and events. Looking forward to that De Ja Vu (sp?). I'm also looking forward to Walker making me forget how much I wanted T'Vondre Sweat. (sp?)
  16. Cautiously optimistic about an improved and fortified defensive line. There are a lot of 'ifs' that go into the equation. 'If' the 2nd & 3rd year youngsters (Carter, Soloman), the new recruits (Sanders, Jackson, Walker), the 'suspendees', (Ogunjobi & Hoecht), and vets (Epenesa, Rousseau, Oliver) kick it up a notch to make an impact, I'm excited for what could be a defense that will be a compliment to the Josh Allen-led offense. IF the D-line can become something close to an elite NFL unit, the LBs and DBs will look that much better. late breaking edit: I didn’t even include Bosa-maybe the biggest ‘if’ of all. Realistically, I’m not counting on much from him. If he contributes anything, for me, it will just be a bonus.
  17. I am looking at the defense. Beane moved heaven and earth this offseason to improve that side of the ball. If his moves pay off and this turns out to be the best defense Allen has ever had then they have a legit chance to win the Super Bowl unlike previous years where the defense has **** the bed when facing a good offense especially in the playoffs.
  18. I don’t think it wrong to say Allen is one of the best entertainers in the country.
  19. Not sure why the hate but that’s so wrong it’s laughable. All of Pegula teams outside of the Sabres made the playoffs this past season. The Bandits even won the championship. Maybe we have a different definition of “disaster.” As for the Bills, they’ll be contenders for at least the next decade with Josh at the helm. And that will be with or without McBeane.
  20. Do you think our roster, particularly the defense, has improved enough this year compared to last year to make stops and create turnovers in the playoffs? I am looking forward to next year and excited to see how far Josh can take us, although my expectations are tempered.
  21. If Josh pulled an Andrew Luck tomorrow and stepped away from the game, I’d still vote for him to get in were I a voter. I don’t think he would get enough votes to get in, but it’s certainly possible.
  22. The topic was/is "best release" off the LOS. In no way am I trying to 💩 on Fitz or make Stevie better than what he was. No one will argue Marshall, Evans and to a lesser degree Parker were better receivers. Just saying Stevie's release and improv route running was next level and if he had Josh (theoretically) would have put up better stats.
  23. Obviously I think Josh Allen will continue to excel and become a better player if that’s possible, but for me, I am very excited about our defense. Buffalo added so much talent here through the draft and through FA etc that I think Buffalo will have a top 5-10 unit.. On the DL we added Bosa, Jackson, Sanders, Walker and Ogunjobi to a unit that already boasted of Rousseau, Oliver, Epenesa, Carter and Solomon.. We spent a #1 on Maxwell Hairston to pair with Christian Benford and we signed and drafted loads of depth behind them.. Our secondary looks stacked.. Is there a weakness on this Bills team? What happens when you combine a top 5 offense with a top 10 defense?
  24. I like to imagine if I had Josh. I also like to imagine if I had Hailee.
