  1. I was just perusing the list of most touchdowns in a single season in NFL history They have the top 20 on the list... Our very own Josh Allen makes four appearances inside the top 20 for most touchdowns scored in a single season He's not even 28 years old yet! Absolutely not in the prime of his career... And he is almost 20% of a legendary list Josh Allen is going to have the most touchdowns in NFL history
  2. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_yds_career.htm This may not feel like news but everything is relative for a guy that was supposed to be the most sure fire bust of all time. Currently sits at 97, passing a couple brand names yesterday in Roger Staubach and Michael Vick.
  3. Before Gabe was hurt Allen: 4/8 (50%), 67 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT AFTER Gabe left the game Allen: 26/30 (87%), 360 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT Did you know? Over the past two seasons, a little under 40% of Allen's interceptions occur when targeting Gabe Davis? Yet, Davis is not targeting very much... 15.2% of the targets, and 38% of the INT's. And no, I am not saying that Gabe Davis is the sole reason of blame for our offensive failures. Not at all. But for whatever reason, he and Allen are NOT on the same page, and it doesn't seem to be getting better.
  4. He may screw up sometimes, but he puts his heart and soul into every game and when the game is on the line, he shines! That 3rd and 13 he got to extend the drive …. NO other quarterback is getting that. I will forever ride or die with Josh Allen. I don’t want ANYONE else. I wouldn’t trade him for Mahomes, Burrow, Rodgers and all of the gold in the world.
  5. The Josh Allen we are seeing right now, is not who we saw the first 5 years off his career. Even when he had bad stretches under Daboll, he still would come out fired up the next series. He was still ready to risk it all. His fire is GONE. When he scores now, he just jogs off the field. Example: After we took the lead with 2 minutes to go last night, he started to just jog off the field (zero celebration). Spencer Brown tried to get him excited and lifted him into the air. Three years ago he’d be screaming his head off and amping everyone up. Now his facial express to being hoisted after a go-ahead TD is the face of someone who looks like they’re battling depression. And no, this is not a deceptive screenshot - this is how he looked the entire post TD celebration. The fire is gone and, Simon, I apologize for the salty language, but that friggin terrifies me!!! Where has this gone? And this? And this? And this? I genuinely believe that McDermott’s “never too high, never too low” mentality has absolutely zombified what made Allen special. I think it’s no coincidence that McD and Daboll didn’t get along, and Josh is becoming more and more like this as the months pass without Daboll as his coach.
  6. In the post game press conference, Josh said that 'The clock's ticking' and I was reminded of last year when the Commanders were eliminated from the playoffs much to the surprise of Ron Rivera. He's a golden retriever, not a goldfish. What is going on in his brain?
  7. This video right here shows me that Josh is sticking with one play and going with it. Davis was wide open for a huge gain. Maybe JA has lost all faith in Gabe and doesn't even look his way anymore. Idk 🤷‍♂️ And why is Deonte Harty even on this team?? Him and Sherfield. Nice moves Beane.
  8. I swear I saw Hendrickson go after Allen's lower legs yet again last night, this time with a leg whip. I couldn't find video of it, haven't heard of anybody talking about it and when I mentioned it last night in the game thread nobody responded. I don't have any recording devices and didn't see a replay, so now I'm wondering if it was just my imagination? Did anybody else see it? Or better yet, have video of it? I think it was in the 4th qrtr with 5-7 minutes left, maybe just before that hopeless challenge that cost the Bills another time out. Dawkins put the RDE on the ground and I think Allen was trying to slip outside to his left. As the End is going down (I think it was Hendrickson) he contorts himself around and actually throws a ***** leg whip at Allen as he's on the move. It's illegal for a good reason and should have been a personal foul (of course it wasn't) and if it was as bad as I thought, then that dirtbag should be hearing from the league office this week. If I'm not imagining it, then I cannot be the only one who saw it. Any help from anyone who might have the game recorded on their DVR thingamabob?
  9. Even the Jets are ahead of us in the hunt. I said this game was practically a must win. I also said if the Bills lost this game a WC is unlikely and the Bills would need to win the division to make the playoffs. There is zero room for error now and we are going to need help. We lose the head to head against a wild card competitor. We have too many conference losses against other teams in the hunt. Buffalo is likely going to have to win out or lose maybe one and get some help. Yes I know 4 of those teams are from the same division and they will somewhat beat each other up, but we still have no room for error.
  10. There is no right or wrong answer here but let’s say Josh says his shoulder is bothering him and he goes on IR do the Bills win a single remaining game cause even the Broncos are playing better lately.
  11. After every defeat - and sadly there has been a few this season - it feels like people make jibes at Josh’s work ethic, and that he doesn’t do enough off the field to help himself on it. For me, if that is the case (and I’m not someone who subscribes to that line of thought) then surely that indicates he has been at best distracted, or at worse has lost passion, for football and/or the Bills? So I guess my question for those who say that Josh’s approach to the pre-season and possibly since has affected him going forward, are you concerned that Josh does lack commitment to either the Bills and/or football and, if so, what can be done to get it back? ETA after a couple of reactions - I do not think this. But I've seen so many comments made about watching film and his post season routine last time out that I want to see if some fans are willing to accept that, when saying he doesn't do enough work, it's accusing him of something deeper.
  12. Are his receivers not getting open? Did he not trust what he sees? Is McDermott in his head telling him not to turn it over? Did Cincinnati know what players were were running? All I saw was Allen pulling his arm down on his first read all night. Then his pocket collapses. What the hell is going on there?
  13. This really boils down the whole thing. Let Josh help choose the OC( he should give some feedback sure, but i think he wasn't ready for this yet), and then watch him slowly degrade from lack of good coaching is what we are seeing here. Is that a fireable offense for McDermott and Beane? I don't know. I think that decision has played out for 1.5 years and it isn't getting better. Maybe having a Daboll in your face, fired up, helped Josh. Its criminal with the talent on the team to be in line with the Jets, Steelers, Texans? all doing more with way way less. Im pretty sure Mike Tomlin's jock strap could do more with this, and he's not even an offensive coach.
  14. Is it just me or does Josh look a lot slower running the ball. Back in his rookie or second year some of his runs were clocked in the 20 mph range and he was making d-backs and LBs look silly running by them. Seems like now when he finally does run he has trouble beating defensive line. Anyone else notice this?
  15. Pretty fair analysis of guys being open and Josh taking the higher risk throw. He gives multiple examples from this year and breaks down the routes.
  16. Says it was one of the weakest taunting calls he's ever seen. Linked to clip: 1:33:34 mark.
  17. I’m gonna preface this post by acknowledging that this will be widely unpopular. People will say I am having a knee jerk reaction to the last few weeks. But, with the shortcomings of the offense, not just this season but last as well, I gotta think the blame does solely lie with just McD and Dorsey. Allen has clearly been an issue too. Missing open opportunities because he either looks and throws right away or simply only looks for Diggs. Allen has also committed a ludicrous amount of turnovers. Situationally, he’s been pretty poor this year when it comes to decision making. On the other end of things, he’s getting older. He will be 28 next season and is only continuing to take more lumps. He will only get slower, more injury prone and probably not progress mentally. He’s shown as a pure pocket passer he is simply above average. Look at Cam around the 8 year mark. Really started to take a dive. Josh will be going into his 7th season next year. If this team continues on this current trajectory, i think it’s fair to assume there will be fairly significant changes not only personnel- wise, but coaching-wise as well with a very new OC at the least. With josh seemingly reaching the end of his prime, is that really a time we want to be reloading/re-building? My thought is, while Josh still has value, is trade him. I’d love if we could to the bears for their 2 firsts next year, one in 2025 and a second in 2024. We use those picks to draft a QB as well as Marvin Harrison jr. We could rebuild with a QB on a rookie contract, get the best WR in college to go with Diggs and Dalton Kinkaid, and on top of that we’d be able to use the other picks to build up our o line. We focus on offense next year and shift to defense the following. Now all of this would be contingent on new GM, new staff. im saddened to propose this because I love josh. Seems like a great dude and great for Buffalo. But at a certain point, we gotta start thinking that maybe Josh isn’t the one to win us a SB. Chuck your spears as appropriate.
  18. Love him or hate him, I believe he could and the Bills should persue him.
  19. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been fined $10,927 for taunting during his team’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Allen pointed at a Bengals player as he was punching in a rushing touchdown to tie the score in the first quarter. He was hit with a 15-yard penalty for the incident. The signal-caller went 26-for-38 with 258 yards, a touchdown and an interception through the air while carrying the ball eight times for 44 yards. Cincinnati ultimately won the game by a score of 24-18. Allen’s fine is peculiar, considering other players received lesser penalties for unnecessary roughness fouls. The fact that he was fined more for pointing at someone than other players were for plays that could have caused injury is certainly strange, to say the least. Then again, the NFL has been widely criticized for quite some time now for the way it hands out penalties and fines, so the weird variance shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bills-josh-allen-fined-for-taunting-during-bengals-loss/ar-AA1jMnwe?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=72356b63b82c4d3a8525dd5d101d9ca6&ei=47 Such a joke
  20. Sorry if this has already been posted. It's a bit of a slow buildup but I really enjoyed watching it. GO BILLS!
  21. NFL Research: Josh Allen has eight rushing touchdowns over his past five games (Weeks 12-17), which made him the first QB in the Super Bowl Era with eight or more rushing TDs in a five-game span. https://www.nfl.com/news/2023-nfl-season-week-17-what-we-learned-from-sunday-s-games
  22. - In 2014, we were 8-6 and fighting for our playoff life when we flew to the Oakland, confident in a victory. Oakland also had an interim coach. We lost to that 2-12 Raider team. This time, we won and we should all be celebrating (bUt It WaS lUcKy 🙄). - Saw this from OptaSTATS: “There have been 130 instances in NFL history of a team having 5 or more 20-point wins in a season. There have been 69 instances of a team having 10 or more games decided by 6 points or fewer. The 2023 Bills are the only ones to do both.” - I don’t know what the refs were on last night, but they certainly seemed to be more keyed in on the Bills than the Chargers. The Morse holding call happens on nearly every NFL play. Extremely minor. - Josh Allen threw this, while jumping, and falling backwards, chased by numerous defenders, off his back foot, from the 41 to the 13. This is insane arm strength. Almost incomprehensible. No one else except Mahomes has any chance at this throw. Lewis’ observation of this play saved us. He read the cross-field pass and made the runner hesitate. - We need to work on our end-of-game lateral defense. It was tough watching our defense lunging at the ball carrier before they lateraled it on the final play. And my goodness, if the Chargers player in the photo below had half a brain, it could have been a Music City Miracle situation. There were SEVEN chargers on one side of the field and only TWO Bills defenders. “13 seconds” was horrible. Imagine if we added “1 second” to the list. We need to get better at this. - Is Matthew Smiley gone after this season? Numerous penalties on punt/kick returns, poor returns, we have almost had punts blocked several times, etc. - The Dolphins haven’t beaten a team over .500 in over 450 days. I think that may end today, just because the Cowboys are overrated. But I think they lose to Baltimore next win and the Bills take the division the week after. - Diggs only played 60% of the snaps last night. Something is up with him that the team is not telling us. - Don’t forget to cancel your Peacock subscription. .
  23. No doubt that his shoulder is hurting. The hail Mary a couple weeks ago. Last night to Diggs. Seems like a lot of sidearm throws. Maybe off-season surgery like Purdy had. Same injury I believe. Just push through it until after the Super Bowl.
