  1. The ball in Allen’s hands with any group of receivers we’ve had for the last five years hasn’t gotten us to the promise land either, so maybe just maybe a change is in order, that and we got some fast guys as well, so think positive, that’s what I choose to do, this time it may all come together 😁👍🍸🚬
  2. I mean, him and Kelce waving goodbye to the fans after the last playoff game probably didn't help. Not to mention his post game handshake with Josh this season, his obnoxious wife, and sexually assaulting TikTok brother. What's not to like?
  3. this just reminds me of Josh Gordon. Hopefully different outcome.
  4. It would be interesting to know, if the Chiefs had lost the 2021 divisional round like they should have, would Mahomes have been as magnanimous in defeat as Allen was if Josh had tracked him down immediately afterwards to congratulate him on an awesome performance as Mahomes did... I thought it was a nice gesture of recognition by Mahomes, but I don't know that he would have received it similarly if roles were reversed.
  5. It could also mean more Ints for Allen as he isn’t the most accurate passer. Separation from speedy receivers helps lower the chances of Ints. Are you really pinging your hopes on consistent contested catches? I’d 100% prefer more separation. I really only care about big and tall in the red zone.
  6. Actually in Allen's rookie season his top three targeted wide receivers were between 6'2" and 6'5". And the other targets included that 6'4" stiff Andre Holmes and of course Charles Clay. Lil' Dummy McKenzie was the only smurf and he got like 30 targets. That strategy began in 2017 signing Holmes, trading for 6'3" Jordan Matthews and 6.5" Kelvin Benjamin. It proved to be disastrous to their passing attack so they pivoted in 2019 and 2020 to smaller, quicker receivers. Beane lamented the error of their ways trying to build around big catch radius guys instead of guys who got open.
  7. Look Patrick is a great QB there isnt much doubt this is more of a Chiefs issue their players seem to always step up and play their best when the team needs them the most. The Bills have Allen but have yet to have another player step up and take over a game like the Chiefs players do when Patrick needs help and it gets frustrating.
  8. I for one hope he said POP and pulled his head out. He is 25 now and hopefully he has realized this is it. I posted something about the start of the offseason that really broke down bradys scheme and I liked it. He has a lot of what Peyton ran in NO when Breese put up 5000 yards each year. One point I liked is his plays always have an option put to drop the ball off if Allen gets in trouble. Dabols didnt.
  9. I think it shows they have role they want filled in the offense. Coleman is a style of wr Allen hasn't had and the offense hasn't utilized. I think Shorter, Shavers and Claypool will compete to be the primary back up to Coleman. Hollins though could be that I see him more as Davis/Sherfield role. He is solidly the 4th wr. Isabella and Hamler are also on the roster. I think one of them makes it as well. Slot and deep threat ability with returner duties.
  10. If Josh can resurrect Claypool’s career and make him a viable contributor than we might be better than the diminished receiving corps of the last few years.
  11. I think the secondary is probably more fearful of Allen. He's so difficult to sack, and he keeps plays alive forever, not to mention the rocket arm capable of carving up tight windows.
  12. An excellent QB who’s taken advantage of a great situation and deserves to be seen as QB1. Do I think he has the talent level of Josh Allen ? Not a chance, but he has more than any other QB in the league and with Andy Reid, Spags and Kelce’s help he’s clutched his way to 3 titles. I respect his game.
  13. We aren't running Dabols offense this season the way I understand it. It's Brady's that he ran at LSU While Ermsberger was named OC it was Bradys offense esp the passing scheme. Brady has inpute into who we are bringing in and we are bringing in more bigger guys than in the past. They said we will be running Bradys system and even Josh is open to change. It won't be Dabols system any longer that we run.
  14. Maybe will be able to actually do something in the redzone this season beyond Josh Allen heroics. Not to worried about the Bills offense between the 20 yard lines.
  15. I agree with corner over DT. We have been horrific at DT beyond Jones and Oliver so if Carter hits that will be the biggest help for the Bills. I think the Bills have more faith Elam can rebound than us fans. I guess will wait and see. I also think the Bills see Carter as their future 1 Tech once he puts on a bit more weight. Reciever I was pounding the table for Roman Wilson at 60 and a trade up in the 3rd. It didn't happen but I understand why the Bills did what they did. We couldn't run the ball in the redzone without Allen and our DT's sucked.
  16. He would be nothing without Andy Reid, and it’s vice versa here. McDermott would be nothing without Allen. It’s about being in the right situation
  17. Not really. We threaded the ball control needle perfectly for a while there but it all fell apart on the final few drives and it required Allen to create magic several times just to keep us in the game. That offense we showed against the Chiefs is not close to a sustainable championship caliber offense.
  18. DJ Moore last season was better than anyone we have on the roster. Four and five seasons ago so was Allen Robinson.
  19. 12-5 and win the AFC East. Josh Allen is that good.
  20. Under Brady at Carolina, he had 97 targets, 18% of their attempts. FWIW That was his most efficient season ever. 851 yards, 3 TDs, but only three big games. The problem is with his other 6 seasons where his Catch-% is a miserable 63%, particularly given where his routes are run. It's pretty bad given that. He's also averaged just over 400 yards and 3 TDs per season in those other 6 seasons. Hopefully Brady can get him to max out. Allen didn't throw significantly more passes or log significantly more completions than Carolina did that season. There are a lot of curiosities going into this season.
  21. Are you saying that our offense will be derailed if any of the top 3 receivers are injured? This offense is being built to be better at running and to spread the wealth passing. With the exception of Josh this offense is going to change week to week and no individual receiver will matter that much. The talent in the receiver room currently is equal to what we had at the end of the year last year when Diggs was playing poorly.
  22. Well, that's what we are able to afford under the cap. We couldn't even afford Beckham. This year may be an off year for the team, or not, but we will certainly be challenged more than we have since Allen's rookie season.
  23. We have Josh Allen, and the plan is to design an offense built for JJ McCarthy? If that's the plan I don't support it. Build a dominant passing offense capable of steamrolling teams.
  24. Power is definitely on Beane's agenda. Whether Cephus or Claypool make the team isn't the issue. They are symptoms of a trend supported by the drafting of Coleman and Ray Davis and the signing of Hollins. Beane/McD/Brady want to be able to control the clock and beat people into submission if necessary. Someone else mentioned that Cook wore down late in the season. Cook also isn't a "physical" runner, but Ray Davis is. They also aren't ignoring speed. Samuel and Hamler are burners. Shakir and Cook are also fast. Seems to me that management wants a team where they can be flexible in their game plan to exploit holes in the defense. We'll go deep on teams the stack the box, run against teams playing nickel and dime, and throw short and medium passes on teams the play 2 deep zone. They are also trying to solve our issues in the redzone. They have gone bigger and stronger to be able to pound out yards without giving Josh a pounding.
