Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've jumped into the political argument page Figured I would after last night... here's what I posted on my FB page this morning: (Long post about the debate) Trump lied on the debate stage last night. He stumbled and was baited. Brilliant move by Harris… and the ABC moderators. I don’t think any conservative voter would argue with that. What’s odd, my liberal friends have their head in the sand about Harris and her lies. I posted 9 lies she made this morning. ABC didn’t bother to call Kamala out on ANY thing she said. Not one. Let me expand on all of the ones she made after doing research. 1. She lied and said “Trump’s Project 2025”. Trump did NOT write it and he's denied it over and over again. Harris claimed this over and over and ABC never corrected her. They allowed it. Why? You can claim something as much as you like, doesn't make it true. 2. She claimed she never supported a gun buy back. She’s said she does support that very thing, for YEARS. Even in the past couple of weeks. She also wants to ban semi-automatic weapons "if Congress can't come up with a bill" to do so. 3. She claimed he’d support a federal abortion ban. He’s *never* said that. Ever. 4. Harris claimed Trump would ban birth control and be denied IVF treatments. Again, another flat out lie. He’s touted IVF before even talked about having tax payer fund those types of treatments. 5. She said that he said “very fine people” in Charlottesville. This is an old talking point also debunked (by Snopes of all sites). Why? They are omitting the entire sentence. 6. Harris said police died on Jan. 6. No LEO died that day. Only one who was killed or died was the lady who was in the Capitol building that was shot. 7. She also said that Trump said that there would be “a bloodbath” if he lost the election. That’s a complete made up lie. 8. Harris said that the SCOTUS has allowed the President to do whatever he wants and face no legal consequence. Again, a flat out lie. 9. Harris claimed that there are no active military in a combat zone. Well, that’s just total BS. We are in Syria and Iraq at this very moment. We actually have had troops injured a week ago in a combat zone. This doesn’t include our SF and Tier 1 assets in countries like Chad, Niger, Yemen, etc. 10. Harris said that “Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.” This is a complete and utter LIE by Harris. The unemployment was at 6.7% when he left office. That was MAINLY due to COVID. Unemployment rate in 2012? 7.9%. 2009? 9.9% I could go on and on. 11. Harris said she was a middle class child. No, she wasn’t. Her parents were wealthy. One was a biomedical scientist and the other a Stanford professor. 12. Harris said Jan 6 was the worst attack on America since the Civil War. That was worse than OKC bombing? 9/11? WWI? WWII? This is an insult to everyone who fought in those wars or died during terrorist attacks. 13. Harris said that Putin and other dictators endorse and want Trump in office. In fact, Putin said last week he would like to see Harris elected. 14. Harris said that she never said wanted the police to be defunded. Harris said, in 2020, that “we have to redirect resources” from law enforcement. She also applauded LA Mayor Eric Garcetti taking $150 million away from their police budget. 15. Harris said that Trump would Implement a National “sales tax”. He’s never talked about a national “sales tax”. It’s totally made up.

UPDATE They took our phones, locked them into a bag and only allowed us access in a certain area outside the concession stands. I got to watch the first half of the game at the Bar inside the BOK Center in Tulsa, on the big screen. I didn't touch my phone until they unlocked it on our way out the door, by that time the game was over. I managed to avoid ALL news/internet/TV until then. And my dad? Text me "What a Bills blowout!". Sh*t, I tried to avoid everything but my dad f'ed it up. But it was a relief in a way, knowing we dominated the game and won. As for Bill Burr? HOLY SH*T, he was epic. I *rarely* smoke, maybe once a year? My fiancé does it every evening before bed and I took one hit off her "pen". Since I'm a major lightweight, it hit me BIG. It was hot inside the arena, so add that to the 'high', I was feeling horrible. Then Burr's opening act came out... Bianca Cristovao from the Czech Republic and she was HORRIBLE. There was NOTHING funny about her. So I thought, "Is it the high I'm having or is it this chick? It's going to SUCK if Burr comes out and I feel like this." Well, it was her. Darci (my GF) and I were in TEARS for the entire show. He tried to read the room, prodding with topics like guns, abortion, immigration, etc. since Oklahoma is a very RED state. He couldn't figure out where to take the show, so he was at a loss. He made some joke about England and brought up the Queen, which her death had nothing to do with his joke... the crowd did a "Ooooooooooooo" and he was stunned. He said something like, "WHAT THE F*CK? 6000+ miles from England people from Tulsa gives a flying f*ck about the Queen of England? Who would have thought THAT would be the subject to get you guys going." Burr was genius and I'm SO glad I went. Don't pass up the chance to see him live.

You mean abortion? No one cares if a woman gets a boob job or face life. It's only abortion we are talking about. Why beat around the bush with "their body"?

Impact of Dobbs and Abortion Laws
ArdmoreRyno replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Less likely to vote... what? Yes, abortion is a major issue to the democrats... it's 14% of their concerns I think I posted the stat that was released? Data by VOX (a very leftist media source) said that before the Dobbs ruling, there were 450,000 voters "new young voters" almost split 50-50 (around 100,000 each) when it came to parties (ind. were the vast majority of regsitered voters) and post, the number at the time of the data was 52,000 new voters, around 10,000 GOP and 20,000 DNC (again, most were ind.). -

I never said anything about abortion or women. I talked about what the main issues are to American voters right now and where the projections in Congress are looking. -

Did I say women? I said "number one issue" as in OVERALL to voters. Or are you going to do what you do best... assume things. The number one issue to voters is the economy. It normally is the number on issue in every election going back for a decade where terrorism and homeland secruity topped it all after 9/11. Gas prices, inflation, or other economic issues... those are THE biggest thing people worry about. In fact, here are the numbers via Quinnipiac: 34% economy 12% gun violence Nothing else is in double digits in regards to what voters care about. Breaking it down by party: GOP 48% economy 16% immigration Dems 22% gun violence 14% abortion 12% election laws 11% climate change Ind. 41% inflation (nothing else was in double digits) -

The whole thing is interesting to see play out. You have the people fed up with how the current administration is handling things (and have been) then you have the abortion side of things. We will find out soon enough which was more of a pressing issue. -

Dude, chill out. I never said anything about "pre" or "post" Dobbs. You are assuming abortion is the NUMBER ONE ISSUE in the election coming up. It's not. And my post last week was 100% what I said in my reply before. Those were the projections posted by Politico. Not me. They project a 226-209 seat advantage in the House. When I posted that, it had a slight edge to the GOP in the Senate. https://www.politico.com/2022-election/race-forecasts-ratings-and-predictions/ -

The only arguments from the left on abortion: 1. What about rape and *****? 2. Are you going to foster a kid? -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?
ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
BWHAHAHA I never talked about any red wave and the abortion issue did have an effect in 2022. Guns will have zero effect on voters in 2024. If it mattered, the new "immature voters" would have done something about it years ago. People care about jobs, crime, the economy, immigration. If it doesn't directly effect them, they aren't going to care. Most of these new voters will grow up and figure out the real world and become conservatives/libertarian's. Kids love to be progressive when they are 18. Things change when the real world slaps them across the face. BTW: I'm wrong about "every issue"? Like being pro-Bill of Rights? Pro-Constitution? Wrong about wanting less government in my life? Wrong about wanting lower taxes? Seems like you need to move to Cuba or China Billsy. Strip you of your rights, make the government involved in every aspect of your life. -

ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is funny... you stuck your foot in your mouth and now YOU are changing the subject. You are really horrible at debate. I mean, horrible. ME: "Stop calling abortion 'my body' and call it abortion" YOU: "Gun laws don't stop gun violence, but you said abortion laws will stop abortion?" Now you're connecting those dots... I have to conclude, you're just not very a very intelligent person. Well, that's pretty clear at this point. I guess they allow computer/internet time at the mental institution now? -

ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Again, where did I say anything about "a law will stop abortion"? You can't because I didn't say. I only said "Stop calling it 'my body' and call it what it really is... abortion" -

LOL Dude, point out to where I said "LAWS STOP" anything. I didn't say that about abortion. Nothing in my posts says anything to do with laws. My goodness, you're just a dumb MFer! -

Let me know where I said "abortion laws stop abortion" Dude, you're not very good at this. Sorta pathetic. -

ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What gun control do you want? Background checks on all gun purchases? Already a law. And "control women's bodies" - you mean abortion? Because most pro-life people don't care if a woman gets butt implants or a tattoo. It's 100% about abortion. Just be honest and stop saying "women's bodies". -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?
ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Since I can’t find the block button I’ll answer the resident MORON. SCOTUS isn’t taking away abortion. Even if they rule on it again. They’d give it to the states. You’re really this stupid aren’t you??? BTW: I’ve never been a member of the NRA. -

ArdmoreRyno replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm okay with states deciding on what those laws are. There is nothing in the US Constitution regarding abortion. My personal feelings on the subject has no bearing on the law(s)... and I didn't say "abortion laws will stop abortion". This is where you are struggling brother.
