  1. I like the idea, good post...I have been thinking about this myself. I have been wondering if Gailey came up with "injuries" for Lynch and Jackson to throw Miami off guard in their planning for week one. It just seems odd that they both were not supposed to be around this week, especially Jackson...and now all of a sudden BOTH of them are going to be playing...along with Torbor, who was the same situation. It is very Bill Belichik-ish...playing games with the injury report. I also would bet the house that we did not even see a 1/4 of the playbook in pre-season...especially with the defense.
  2. Sam Aiken was recently cut by the Patriots... With how bad our ST's were and our inexperienced WR corps...would anyone be interested in bringing Sammy back to Buffalo? I do not see how it would hurt us or be a bad move...drop Donald Jones and pick up Aiken.
  3. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/maurice_jones-drew/09/05/fantasy.strategy/index.html?eref=fannation As far as the guys that are likely to go undrafted, there are a few that I think have potential and will be keeping my eye on. Sticking with the tight ends, I'm interested to see how the two young tight ends in New England perform: Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski. Matt Hasselbeck could really click in that offense they're running in Seattle, and Derek Anderson could be everything Kurt Warner was in Arizona now that they've handed him the keys. I also think whoever the Bills pick as their starter has potential to put up big numbers. Sure, it is for fantasy football...but doesnt it mean that if our QB puts up "big numbers", he has a pretty good year?! I think MJD seems some potential in our playmakers and QB, and maybe he thinks our O-Line is decent. I sure hope he is right!
  4. I stopped reading after it said the kid was like Bulaga and Calloway... 1 is a 1st rounder who cant win a job as a guard, not to mention the tackle spot he was drafted to play...and the other did not even make it to the final cuts!
  5. Right and it takes more than one offseason to completely overhaul your coaching staff, team, schemes and playbook... Just think...next year at this time, there will probably be another 14 players added...so in year 2 that will be 28 new players, meaning Gailey/Nix would have cleaned out half of this team. You gotta start somewhere...I like what's being done!
  6. I saw RB Dwayne Wright got cut...forgot by who, but he is another one...
  7. Ummm... David Martin is now the BEST TE on the roster. He is a solid, all-around tight end. He was very good with the Packers and has been pretty good with the Dolphins too. I like this addition.
  8. Out of that list there, the players who interest me are... LB - Tim Shaw (cut by Bears) - He would be great for special teams and was very good at Penn State. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4665834/shaw-shows-what-he-can-do OLB - Cody Brown (cut by Cardinals) WR - Mike Jones (cut by Cardinals) RB/QB/WR - Michael Robinson (cut by 49ers) FB - Jehuu Caulcrick (cut by 49ers) QB - Jarrett Brown (cut by 49ers) LB - Ricky Foley (cut by Jets) LB - Boris Lee (cut by Jets) OT - Adam Terry (cut by Colts) DT - Damione Lewis (cut by Patriots)
  9. No they should not be out of the league...they deserve another opportunity as long as they earn it and prove they have changed. Would you want to be fired from your job and banned from working in your professional field for the rest of your career...if you committed a crime, or moreso just made a mistake, like ALL humans do? I highly doubt it.
  10. I actually thought I heard during a game or a Chris Brown report, maybe I read it somewhere...but it is my understanding that when they go into a nickel package, Florence goes to the slot and McKelvin goes to the outside. I have no idea what the benefits of that are, why Florence would be a better nickel CB...but that is just what I had read or heard somewhere...so take it for what its worth. Anyways...Florence is good enough to start, he should start based off last year and his playmaking ability. McKelvin's time will come soon enough, and YES he WILL get plenty of PT this Fall.
  11. I have recently seen this...and I can say for sure that... A. It really is NOT a big deal...Spikes hardely even shows himself, yes you see his tool, but not very much. B. The chick is EXTREMELY HOT...Looks A LOT like Kim Kardashian. C. There is no sex...Some minor oral sex...his thing and her hooters. I would not classify this as a "Sex-Tape." It sure is worth the watch though.
  12. And even if they werent...what is wrong with Rex Ryan telling his VP of Football Operations that they will beat the Buffalo Bills? Its not like signing your death certificate...or anything really earth shattering. I would hate to bust everyone's bubble around here, but the Jets ARE a superior football team with a superior coaching staff, players, stadium, front office...people, I am sorry but they are just simply better than us right now. They have probably passed the Patriots. People dont like the Jets because they are getting good...all the bad talk was about the Patriots for the last some-odd years...now we are onto the Jets...5 years from now we will all be hating the Dolphins...then it will be back to our turn to dominate! Dude...when the hell have we EVER been relevant in the past 10-15 years??? PLEASE, SOMEONE ANSWER ME THIS???
  13. Well it would be nice to see them use some kind of new, innovative offense with these playmakers. You would also think with how successful Miami was with the Wildcat and their 2 dynamic backs, Chan would be able to come up with something even better involving his THREE dynamic backs. However, it is just like Chan said himself, if you cannot threaten the Defense with a PASSING game out of a package like that...the running game will never work on its own. It might be alright for a week or two, but with no threat to pass, Defenses will quickly catch on and be able to focus solely on the run and shut it down.
  14. Nothing about JP Losman is "gorgeous!" Just sayin'.
  15. Did you order with a credit card...or do you guys use paypal or something? I wanna get a Bills, Sabres, Yankees and Celtics jersey...because they're such good prices. However, I am not sure if I trust using a credit card. What do you guys think?
  16. Still should have drafted Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie...instead of Leodis McKelvin!!!
  17. http://www.nickmendola.com/so-the-bills-drafted-another-quick-healer/ Like the dude says...makes you think of Poz, McKelvin and Crowell. What is going on with this team? Do you think we are just trying to stock pile players and see what we have...so this was done as a way to make a spot for another player? This way they can develop Easley and hopefully STILL find another good WR for NEXT year? Either way...IT IS VERY WEIRD!
  18. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/17320/nfc-east-most-indispensable-players WASHINGTON REDSKINS: BRIAN ORAKPO In Orakpo, the Redskins have an elite pass-rusher who's learning how to separate quarterbacks from the ball. What I love about Orakpo is his willingness to make changes. He's constantly in the film room studying offensive tackles and he doesn't want any of them to have a book on him. He has a wide array of counter moves and he's quickly embraced the concepts of Jim Haslett's 3-4. Here's what Orakpo told me during my recent visit to Ashburn, Va.: "I'm always going forward in this defense" he said. "I want to be chasing the quarterback at all times, and this defense makes that possible." THAT is THEE PROBLEM with Aaron Maybin. He needs to develop his counter-moves...bottom line.
  19. I have a feeling we got the wrong guy though... Jahvid Best will be just as good as Spiller...and he is faster.
