  1. I agree we need to give him 1 more year...but there is a reason that Cassell went to USC and Edwards went to Stanford.
  2. There FIXED...sounds perfect!!! And yeah, Tebow stunk it up huh? What was he, like 10-15 passing? Horrible accuracy! Just watch his last TD from Saturday. sh--. He is already above and beyond Trent Edwards!
  3. Given the fact that Paulus has played competitive football at a very high level, his entire life, is not a stretch of the imagination to think he could catch on with an NFL team next year. Look at a case like Demetrius Bell, whom you are all calling for to be our STARTING LEFT TACKLE...he had NEVER played football up until 4 years ago. So think about stuff like this when you post a stupid comment.
  4. I'm not sure how Palmer could switch to #59 and Maybin could wear that number as well... ...So, I am pretty sure that Maybin will keep #58! Just sayin'.
  5. They wouldnt have made this move if it was gonna hurt them. I dont think it will even phase them this year. They have plenty of talent to replace him, especially given the fact that they got Derrick Burgess from the Raiders. He will pick up the production in the "Sack" department. They also drafted Ron Brace out of Boston College and I do believe they have another young D-Lineman waiting in the wings to jump in the rotation. I think they will eventually be better off for making this move. Just as we would have been for dumping Kelsay and/or Denney...and keeping Copeland Bryan.
  6. I really think that Jonathan Stupar, Alvin Bowen and Cary Harris will most likely be scooped up by someone off our PS. I think that ALL 3 players have potential, and I really like Harris and think he will be a good player...I just hope he sticks around and does not get signed off our PS by another team. Corey Mace is not that bad either...but I doubt anyone would take him.
  7. I think we should keep Nelson, Stupar...can the rest... ...and sign Leonard Pope. He is HUGE (6-8) and would be a good red zone target. He also was a STARTING TE for Arizona in the SUPER BOWL last year. Then again...if Ben Watson becomes available, I would much rather scoop him up. (Especially to help us game-plan for New England's Defense.
  8. In my new SI NFL Preview mag...it has Mularkey as being the 3rd best QB TEACHER in the NFL. mmm
  9. Dick Jauron will be fired follwing an 0-4 start. Bobby April takes over as HC for his play trickery and way of rallying his players together... Marshawn Lynch comes back. Bills use AVP's downfield passing attack. Owens and Evans each 1,000 yards. Bills use Studesville power running game, Roscoe in Wildcat...Lynch and Jackson each 1,000 yards. Bills use different variations on Defense to throw off the opposition and create turnovers. Bills rally to finish 12-4. Win division. Make playoffs. AFC Champs. Buffalo Bills Win Super Bowl...Best sports story EVER!
  10. Like I just mentioned in another thread, I think this has to do with given AVP & Studesville a chance. Dick Jauron probably knows he won't be around at the conclusion of this season. Maybe he feels due to the differences in philosophies, these 2 young coaches should be given an audition for a full season, rather than let Turk keeping holding back the offense.
  11. this means that jauron is on his way out, so he is giving 2 young coaches a chance to audition for an entire season. if they do well, we will see them retained, or given jobs elsewhere. if they fail, ralph cleans house.
  12. http://www.projo.com/patriots/content/proj....146713d6f.html good article on ben watson possibly being released.
  13. they are saying that van pelt and studesville are gonna share duties!

  15. California has BJ Sams, Ronnie Prude and Maurice Crum...I would say they are more known than Frank Murphy and Bob Pettiti...talk about "no-names?!"
  16. Denver wants David Harris in any trade for Marshall. Brandon Marshall is a better WR than Anquan Boldin. He gets the double teams because there is no WR across from him, especially one of Larry Fitzgerald's caliber, and he still racks up 100 receptions and 1,300 yards. Mark Sanchez will end up being a better QB than Jay Cutler...with or without Marshall.
  17. I totally agree with you. I am not saying that they are going to do this. I don't think it is necessarily a good idea to scrap your whole pre-season to TRY to do something. As far from what I saw in Training Camp, it didn't seem like they were trying anything different from what I saw in the Pre-Season. The only thing I can think of is that Trent WAS trying to go downfield more often than usual. But, I digress... I think for Jauron to scheme this up, get everybody on board with it and not to mention keep their mouths shut about it; is a genius idea. Who better to do this for than the "Hoodie" himself, Billy Belichick? But I ask, how do you do this, without people finding out? There is only so much time a team spends in the film and meeting rooms. I could see them having the time on field now, since they have left the public at St. John Fisher. But, would it be that easy or smart, given they have done it perfectly, to be able to WASTE 5 (FIVE) Pre-Season games??? The reason I see this as a POSSIBILTY, is that Dick Jauron is desperate for his job. As in the same case, so are most the players, fighting for their jobs (some careers: Owens and Rhodes?). It is a live or die situation, but then again so is this season, if not the first hand full of weeks. Everybody is also DESPERATE to beat the Patriots, and to do it on Monday Night Football in the "Opening Weekend," makes it even sweeter. I think if they get CRUSHED in this game, Dick Jauron is gone on Tuesday. If the game is close, then the "Circle of Trust" gives it a little longer, because the team has improved and "We think we have a good chance to win some games." Then again..."it is hard to win in this league."
  18. WRONG! (read below) They were FAR from being healthy...they were a MESS! Not only were they without those WR's...the only active receiver they had on their roster for that game, with more than 12 CAREER receptions was Nate Burleson. Courtney Taylor and Seneca Wallace (backup QB), were the other starting WR's. Their sh------- running game would not help this cause at all either. Also, they were without their starting DT Rocky Bernard, who was suspended for that game. And, they were without RT Sean Locklear...starting Ray Willis (12 career games, 0 starts) against Aaron Schobel. Most importantly, Matt Hasselbeck had just returned the week leading up to that game, from a back injury that had him on the shelf from January until September. He only played in 2 series that pre-season, and was not touched once. *SOURCE: http://www.profootballcentral.com/2008/09/...hawks-vs-bills/
