Sorry...I just realized the thread is about Jaworski and not Mortenson. My bad. -
Your personal 2009 Buffalo Bills season slogan
Wilson from Gamehendge replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like Marv once said..."Where else would you rather be?" Or..."Just beat the Patriots ONCE!" -
I agree...they are both excellent articles. And, Belichick does deserve his credit...but he is still a Dick (not Jauron) and I hate him.

Jaws blasts the "no huddle"
Wilson from Gamehendge replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw him on the ESPN Football Insiders preview show the other day... Mort and the other guys (John Clayton, Michael Smith, Adam Schefter and Trey Wingo) were all talking about the AFC West and who they thought was going to struggle most; Denver, Kansas City or Oakland? After everyone else answered with one of those teams, Mort frickin' chirped in with this: (along these lines) Well, I'd, I'd, uhhh...I think the Buffalo Bills are headed in the wrong direction. They dump their Offensive Coordinator who turns around and bashes the Head Coach. Then they put a 7th Rd. draft pick at LT to replace the guy who was put in place to fill the void of their best player, Pro-Bowler Jason Peters. (Fails to mention that Peters was undrafted). They are putting the pressure on 2 Rookies to protect Edwards. I'm not sold on Trent Edwards. And, I think T.O. is going to tear him apart when he doesn't get the ball to Owens....blah blah blah... He really laid into this team pretty harshly (if that's a word). Michael Smith and Adam Schefter disagreed with him...Trey Wingo said something stupid like "Yeah, it's gonna be a hard year for the Bills in that division." Which, I don't disagree with him, he just said it like a prick. And, John Clayton just sat there looking like he had to take a dump or something. -
Remember the World Trade Center
Wilson from Gamehendge replied to Sisyphean Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. And, maybe they didn't know if there were bombs on the plane or not? I meant more along the lines of how could the men let the arabs GET TO the pilots. Once they did get to the pilots, it was obviously all over. I still would bet that you and myself, along with I'd say at least a dozen more other men from this forum (not to mention ALL the women on board), could take out 3-4 (?) arabs...box-cutter or not. I would bet that I could get a little crazy if my life was on the line, same with a loved one and/or other people and the people they love. I don't know, it's a irrelevant point I am trying to make I guess, and I am going nowhere with it. Anyways...again, God Bless all of those involved and affected. God Bless all of you... *GO BILLS! -
Remember the World Trade Center
Wilson from Gamehendge replied to Sisyphean Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will never understand how all the men on those planes could let somebody take them down with BOX-CUTTERS. I just do not understand that whole scenario. I understand that this is not the point, and please do not take what I am saying the wrong way. I am, in no way, disrespecting ANYBODY whatsoever. I just cannot grasp how a bunch of men could accept their fate was decided by a bunch of Arabs with utility knifes. On the other hand, God Bless the families of those victims, as well as everyone who was involved. May the victims themselves forever Rest In Peace. To the rescuers (NYPD/NYFD) and volunteers, thank you and God Bless your hearts. I will always remember your courage and passion, as well as your desire to help others, while risking your own life. To the original poster...thank you for serving our country in the Military. I have the utmost respect for you and what you do. My Father was a Marine in Vietnam. He passed away last summer due to Pancreatic Cancer, that they say was caused by exposure to Agent Orange. My Uncle (Dad's brother) was a Marine, as was my Grandfather (Korean War) and now my little Cousin is a Sargeant in the Marines. Your service is greatly appreciated, and nobody on Earth can match the courage or character of a United States Marine. God Bless you, God Bless America...GO BILLS! -
Offensive: QB - Trent Edwards WR - Lee Evans Defensive: LB - Kawika Mitchell LB - Paul Posluszny Special Teams: P - Brian Moorman S - George Wilson *Personally, I like them a lot more than any of our recent past Captains. I am happy to see Chris Kelsay didn't get it this year, kind of speaks volumes about what his teammates think of him. I don't think there is anybody better on the Offensive side of the ball, than Edwards and Evans, to carry the title. Trent has been here for 3 years now, has grown into his role, seems to be trusted by his peers, and he shows the qualities to be a good leader. Lee Evans is a very good leader in my opinion, and I think he is most deserving of the honor. I can't think of anyone else on Offense who is in ready to carry these responsibilities right now, for this season. Poz is a young up and comer that to me, is the face of our Defense. He is the Middle Linebacker, the guy who calls the plays and directs the "D." I think he could be a great Captain for years to come, he minds me of Zach Thomas. Who else would be better to be the other Defensive Captain than Kawika Mitchell? The guy plays with a lot of heart and has been to the Super Bowl. He is a Veteran and has shown he can lead a ball club. I would say he is our "Top/#1" TEAM Captain. The only other person on Defense who I could see with the "C" on their jersey is Marcus Stroud, but he is still fairly new. Whitner seems like a decent leader, but he needs to show more on the field. As far as Special Teams goes, I think those 2 players are the most obvious selections. Moorman is by far our best "Special Teamer," if not our best player overall. He shows passion and heart, every time he is on the field...see the Pro-Bowl a couple years ago (gettin jacked up by Sean Taylor on a fake punt). Last, George Wilson he probably one of, if not the best, Special Teams ace we have. He has proven to be a valuable player on Defense as well and could probably step in at Wide Receiver if the club needed him to. Overall, I think the selections made by the team for Captains are all excellent and quality choices. I cannot think of a better group of guys to lead and represent this franchise, on and off the field.

I dig the new video feature they are doing, although I did like Langston's interviews and Darian Barnes thing...I am not sure if anything comes close to BIG "Marcus' Mailbag"...but Gibran has a good thing going here. Except he only "hung" for 6:19. -

You guys are WRONG...the Buffalo Bills have had the #1 Overall Draft Pick 5 times... 1961 - Ken Rice - Auburn OG 1969 - O.J. Simpson - USC RB 1972 - Walt Patulski - Notre Dame DT 1979 - Tom Cousineau - Ohio State LB 1985 - Bruce Smith - Virginia Tech DE *So I got the question right and I proved you wrong...what does that get me? -

Runyon vs Jones

How do ANY of you people know whether or not D. Bell is the solution at Left Tackle? He is very athletic, has great footwork and use of his hands...I think he will turn into a solid option at LT. I am sure you didn't think Jason Peters was the solution either...but 2 pro-bowls says a lot. (I DO NOT care whether or not you think he deserved them, he made it to the pro-bowl, bottom line.) -

Nate Clements was a Pro-Bowler in 2004. Willis McGahee was a Pro-Bowler in 2007. Marshawn Lynch was a Pro-Bowler last year...what the hell do you people mean? Leodis should have, and probably will, go as a returner.
