  1. Wow, lots of em...thank you phil! WHAT is Stevie Johnson's name on twitter?
  2. http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dolphins/0...ress-conference "24-0 in the 4th quarter to a team who was having trouble finishing themselves...We did things, quite honestly, that 3-7 teams do (the Bills?) in the 4th quarter of a game. Penalties, turnovers, let 'em run the ball, big plays allowed..." I know its petty stuff, and it probably wasn't meant to be a "shot"...but man am I glad that Perry Fewell decided to keep running the ball and trying to, as he said, "dictate to them." THAT is something I have not seen a Bills team do in 10-15 years. If only Perry could have this team at full-strength.
  3. I certainly don't think so...but does anybody think it might have been Owens? I just signed up for twitter...who are all the Bills players (and Sabres?) that have twitter? Anybody know?
  4. He just wins, period. He finds a way not to lose. He never gives up. He believes in himself and his talent. So do I.
  5. The fact is, he is a professional, super bowl winning, head football coach in the national football league... ...NONE of us on this website could even think of being in the same stratisphere as that guy when it comes to knowledge. He knows talent. period. He said Young should be playing. Vince got the chance and has not looked back...all the while making Dungy right, again.
  6. I AM SO HAPPY VINCE IS DOING WELL...I HAVE BEEN SHOUTING FOR HIM SINCE THE HALL OF FAME GAME... ...HOPE ALL YOU SORRY ASS DOUBTERS ARE WATCHING THIS GUY!!!!!!
  7. He said in week 4 that Vince Young should be starting for the Titans... ...and he just said on Football Night in America that Vince Young is a winner and he feels that Tim Tebow will be the same way and just as successful. "They both find ways to win!" - Tony Dungy Saturday's box score - Florida Gators vs. Florida State Seminoles Florida Passing C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT T. Tebow 17/21 221 10.5 3 0 Florida Rushing CAR YDS AVG TD LG T. Tebow 15 90 6.0 2 47 *TD passes of 18, 37 and 39 yards...TD runs of 18 and 1 yards **10-13 on 3rd down...and...1-1 on 4th down (Started a post about Tebow's game Saturday, including an article about what a class act he is and how he cares about his team and the fans...how he is even a fan of the team he plays for...however, SUPPOSEDLY THAT SAME EXACT TOPIC was being discussed somewhere else, although it wasn't...so here's to you Simon! )
  8. It would not be a horrible idea, given recent success of coordinators-turned-head coach... Who says that those $10 million guys who HAD a fifteen year long track record of success and Super Bowl Rings, 5-10 years ago, will be able to come in as a Head Coach and do anything here? Look at this...I cannot find a BETTER argument, and don't believe I will see one... These are guys who were pretty good coordinators and were hired as Head Coaches. They have ALL really turned around the culture and atmospshere of their respective franchises, and all those teams tend to be some of the best in the NFL...year in and year out. Perry Fewell seems to fit the pattern, although I believe we need an offensive guy. Miami Dolphins - Tony Sparano (never a HC) New York Jets - Rex Ryan (never a HC) Baltimore Ravens - John Harbaugh (never a HC) Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Tomlin (never a HC) Indianapolis Colts - Jim Caldwell (never a HC) Denver Broncos - Josh McDaniels (never a HC) San Francisco 49ers - Mike Singletary (never a HC) Houston Texans - Gary Kubiak (was never a HC) Chicago Bears - Lovie Smith (was never a HC) Green Bay Packers - Mike McCarthy (was never a HC) Minnesota Vikings - Brad Childress (was never a HC) Atlanta Falcons - Mike Smith (was never a HC) New Orleans - Sean Payton (was never a HC) Arizona Cardinals - Ken Whisenhunt (was never a HC) Keep him and surround him with a front office that can find him talent to play with...and an offensive staff that can match up with his defensive staff...I I would love to see what this guy could do then!
  9. Saturday's box score - Florida Gators vs. Florida State Seminoles Florida Passing C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT T. Tebow 17/21 221 10.5 3 0 Florida Rushing CAR YDS AVG TD LG T. Tebow 15 90 6.0 2 47 *TD passes of 18, 37 and 39 yards...TD runs of 18 and 1 yards **10-13 on 3rd down...and...1-1 on 4th down http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=293320057 When it was over, Tebow jogged to midfield to shake hands with Seminoles defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews and Bowden. He sang Florida's alma mater with teammates and then started his final victory lap. It seemed to take forever. He was soaking it all it. "Just saying thank you to all the fans and not get too emotional about it," Tebow said. "My relationship with the fans is great. One reason is 'cause I'm such a passionate Gator fan. I care so much about this university and this team because I'm such a big fan. They know I appreciate them." --->Look at that (I am talking to YOU, Trent Edwards)...TIM TEBOW IS A FAN OF HIS TEAM! Do we know if ANYBODY on the Bills appreciates US FANS???
  10. Ok, so what more is there to the guy? I said it would be a blessing for the Bills to remain here and get a new stadium (or remodel the Ralph)...but who has Jeremy Jacobs gone out and got for the Bruins? He just traded 1 of their best players in Kessel, because he didn't want to pay the kid a new contract. That sounds VERY VERY VERY familiar!? No? I am sorry, but I just do not understand your argument here? It is basically the same thing that I was saying. Would that even be feasible or worth the money? I would think we would want something brand new if we were going to put that kind of money into a stadium. Something downtown would be perfect. They could have concerts there in the summer and spring...not to mention MANY other kinds of events to generate money and tourism. To stay competitive, you need a newer stadium up-to-date with the rest of the league. But, I do understand your argument about the seating and pricing. However, if we want this team to stay...we are going to have to be willing to pay the price. And as long as Ralph, Jeremy Jacobs, Jim Kelly, Rush Limbaugh, Santa Claus or the Pope himself, are willing to spend on a GM and a Coach, I dont see us having to pay a little more being a problem.
  11. Shoot with what we have right now...I think they BOTH sound like decent pickups. The DT played against weak talent, but I say that loosely...however, the OT played at Florida. So it is not like he was a bum. His weakness sounds very easily correctable and he has great size. I would like to see them work with him and see what happens. They have nothing to lose. Consider it like 2 extra late round draft picks.
  12. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...7d-753a30e1fc1d On the future - I guarantee that Russ Brandon and Mr. Wilson will do whatever it takes to land the best possible coach whether it’s an established coach or a top coach that they target. I have total faith in Russ and Mr. Wilson to do whatever it takes to bring this team back to where it once was. I think it’s safe to say that Mr. Wilson is committed to getting it right with his head coach once and for all. I don’t believe he wants to take a chance with a coach. He wants one that is established with a reputation. I haven’t spoken with him myself, but I’m sure he doesn’t want to go through what he has these past 10 years, which is hiring and firing and hiring and firing. On the media twisting his words around for a story - ESPN was criticizing my comment about how the Bills have struggled with California quarterbacks with the last three for Buffalo being Rob Johnson, J.P. Losman and Trent Edwards. They tried to counter that statement by saying what about Dan Fouts, Troy Aikman and Warren Moon? Well they missed the point. Dan Fouts played in San Diego, Aikman played in Dallas and Moon played in a dome in Houston. The point was not to knock California quarterbacks. It was more a point about what Buffalo needs to consider at the quarterback position in addition to physical talent. The Bills need to have a quarterback that’s mentally tough enough while also possessing the skill set needed to adjust to playing in the poor weather that Buffalo dishes out each and every November and December. It was not a blanket statement that California quarterbacks haven’t been successful. The recent track record of Bills quarterbacks from California just isn’t very good in terms of adjusting to Buffalo weather, and it’s my contention that they need to look at a signal caller that’s perhaps more suited to dealing with what Buffalo offers late in every football season. Now a guy like Tebow, who grew up in the south, is a guy that I believe is mentally tough enough and has a skill set that can successfully adapt to playing in poor weather. And a couple of the other top QBs from the south may be as well. That’s up to Bills’ scouting staff to determine whether they can adapt to throwing in a much more challenging weather city like Buffalo. It’s an important factor. Hopefully my opinion is clearer now for everyone. See you all at the game on Sunday. So for those of you who shot down my other thread about Kelly saying "No Cali QB's", by naming your California QB's who have done good...check out their situations and everything else before making a silly statement. Most of those QB's from Cali who did well, played in situations that were in their favor...see Kelly's comments above. It is not that QB's from California are bad, because if I had a DOME I can think of MANY Quarterbacks from the state of California that I would LOVE to have on the Bills roster. But the fact is, we play in some of the worst weather experienced by these football players. Some of them have NEVER seen snow in their entire lives. We need somebody with a cannon arm, who is VERY durable, can get out of the pocket and move the pocket...and that person needs to lead the team by EXAMPLE, ala Matthew Stafford. Now there is a kid who earned the respect of every single player in his own locker room, and probably in many others around the leagure. People took notice, that's for sure. The on the other side of the field (I know it was not the same game), you got Mark Sanchez, eating a hot dog on the bench...and THAT my friends, is when the Jets AND their Wonderboy California QB started to fall apart and lose their mojo. He went on to throw something like 15 interceptions in the next 3 or 4 games...just saying. Those kids in California, more than not, live a very decent life growing up. I would rather have somebody from a city with weather comparable to ours, obviously. However, I would also like to have somebody that grew up in a city comparable to a Buffalo, Syracuse or Rochester. A blue-collar town, where you work for everything you have. Those Cali boys come from families, mostly, who give them everything. These are the guys who work for their contract, get the big money and then they settle in. I want somebody who works to be the best, period...that is why I like Tebow and Vince Young. They have a will to never give up, to always succeed to be the best and the ability to lead their team...more often than not, to victory.
  13. here is a GREAT video of him working out for scouts... and another of him in action...(quite a beast)... and the tackle we picked up sounds like a potentially decent player... Rookie OT Jason Watkins (6′6″ 325) played his college ball at Florida and started at left tackle as a junior and right tackle as a senior for the Gators. What kept him from being drafted was his ability to redirect and recover according to some draft “experts.” But you’ve got to like his size and bulk. He’s considered pretty good at the point of attack, so it’s another young prospect to groom looking toward the future. -per chris brown
  14. HurlyBurly, with all due respect man...neither san jose bills fan, nor myself, said ANYTHING about preferring the Buffalo Bills leave town! And yes, I worked for a guy who worked for a guy who worked for a guy who worked for Jacobs...but as stated a few times here, the Bruins fans can't stand this guy. I was simply saying that we got to meet him once, and he came off as a top notch a-hole! I would be willing to bet that there are several other people who could buy this team and keep them here...that is the ONLY good thing about Jacobs, is if he buys it, the team MOST LIKELY stays put AND gets a new stadium. You also must have ZERO sense of humor...as I was cracking a joke (lame? probably!) in the last sentence, referring to Dick Jauron! Lighten up a little bit...and just think, Jacobs will probably be worse for us than Ralph.
  15. ugh...I would be happy the Bills would remain in WNY...but VERY pissed that this jackass is the new owner. I worked for this fool at Delaware North Companies and I think he is such a DICK...and we just got rid of 1 of those!
  16. If you saw where I said those guys were from a couple/few years ago, you would understand my argument a little better. Lovie Smith comes into Chicago (as a hot DC) after NEVER being a HC and takes them to the Super Bowl Mike McCarthy comes into Green Bay, never being a HC...and turns them around...almost taking them to the Super Bowl. Brad Childress comes into Minnesota, never being a HC, and completely turns that team around...BEFORE Brett came in.
  17. So he is another product of the system. Oh Yay! What top college QB doesnt throw like this week in and week out? Graham Harrell was tough to ignore too, until the draft came around and people realized he was a product of the system he was playing in.
  18. Thank you for having a brain and seeing my CLEAR and OBVIOUS point!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family San Jose Bills Fan!
  19. Yeah, I bet Colt McCoy is "falling" after his last performance... ...haha, this is a joke. Is your hero Mel Kiper?
  20. Yeah, you are right you !@#$ING schmuck! I will compare you're Coughlin, whos Giants are FALLING APART...and you're Tony Dungy WHO CAME TO THE BUCS AS A COORDINATOR, and is now out of the league...WITH MY DOZEN+ coordinators turned head coach who are doing well! Lets check it out... Miami Dolphins - Tony Sparano (never a HC) New York Jets - Rex Ryan (never a HC) Baltimore Ravens - John Harbaugh (never a HC) Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Tomlin (never a HC) Indianapolis Colts - Jim Caldwell (never a HC) Denver Broncos - Josh McDaniels (never a HC) San Francisco 49ers - Mike Singletary (never a HC) Wanna go back a few years and look at this scenario ya stupid !@#$ ? Houston Texans - Gary Kubiak (was never a HC) Chicago Bears - Lovie Smith (was never a HC) Green Bay Packers - Mike McCarthy (was never a HC) Minnesota Vikings - Brad Childress (was never a HC) Atlanta Falcons - Mike Smith (was never a HC) New Orleans - Sean Payton (was never a HC) Arizona Cardinals - Ken Whisenhunt (was never a HC) EVERYONE SINGLE ONE OF THESE COACHES WERE HIRED AS COORDINATORS AND THEY NOW HAVE THEIR TEAMS AT THE TOP OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS. and even guys like Mangini, Haley, Schwartz, Morris and Spagnoulo...all seem to be trying to at least change the culture that surrounds their losing franchises. Eric Mangini faired pretty well in New York, after never having been a HC. Jim Schwartz and Raheem Morris have also found themselves franchise Quarterbacks. Now where is your argument you worthless piece of ****? Don't waste your time opening and reading it if ya dont like it! Ya little whiney B word.
  21. VERY INTERESTING! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4691552
