  1. I agree. I have always been a fan of him, since his freshman year at PSU and I will always root for him. I remember watching the bowl game (FSU maybe?) that he hurt his knee. I felt horrible for him. He was a legend...I would honestly almost put him up there with Tebow in terms of popularity amongst college football fans. He was the MOST POPULAR at his position in quite some time. Just look at his stats...at PENN STATE...as a LINEBACKER! I think he is great. Put him on the Ravens or Vikings defense...he would be a monster. He is the soul of our defense...and I bet he will be for years. He will make 1 pro bowl in his career. At least 1. ***EDIT - DISCLAIMER: If it is better that he play OLB (I prefer him in the middle), then so be it...but he is a very good linebacker. Period.
  2. Tough break for Browns fans.. as Holmgren was signing his new contract he got a papercut and now has a staph infection. here is another post from schefty's twitter... "Despite speculation that Mike Shanahan could wind up in Dallas, he will not. Shanahan eyeing other situations, not the Cowboys." Holmgren will turn them around with these 11 draft picks and the next year or two. Pittsburgh and Baltimore seem to be falling a bit and getting older. Cincinnati may just be the Dolphins of last year, a fluke. If Cleveland turns it around, they can challenge for that spot, ala last year's Dolphins. I think the Brownies will be alright...time for the other side of the lake to get something done!
  3. I am sorry kind sir, but I did not give you permission to post in my thread! At least you didnt beat ME up. Is that alright? ***Don't inactive players dress in street clothes or a warmup suit? If so, then Brohm HAS been active, contrary to some here saying he has not been. I saw #4 on the sidelines the other day...so he is definitely suiting up. He is just the emergency QB, so he can ONLY play if Trent and Fitz are done for the day, once Brohm goes in, they cannot go back in... ...which I am thinking may be a good thing from what I have seen behind center this year.
  4. Brian's time to shine? 12:09PM ET Brian Brohm | Bills "With two weeks go, Bills might let former super-prospect take his shot." -espn insider
  5. Are you gonna tell me that people dont make fun of Leodis McKelvin for the way he talks and how he is...its is a stereotype that I see and hear all the time about African American football players. And no, I was not accusing you of doing this...I was asking what the point was?
  6. I realized that about Butler soon after when I was thinking about the past few drafts.
  7. I know they have not had ANY...so where is the relevancy between the article and a post about said players? Or is the OP just picking on those players because, they have fumbling problems, or are hot headed, or are black...or just because we traded them and cannot replace them and they are doing pretty well in their new city...and we are still in denial that we lost our best player?
  8. When have Roscoe, Leodis, Jason Peters and/or Richie Incognito had concussions?
  9. Our starters can't win, therefore our scrubs won't...Perry Fewell is coaching (and trying to win) for a HEAD COACH JOB!
  10. Would you like to back up your statement with some facts/research information?

  12. This coming from the Jills' "#1 Fan." Which makes sense given the picture.
  13. what makes you guys think that Richie Incognito can play C? the only time he played center was in college during a training camp practice. he had played more tackle than center.
  14. I have been calling for Wood to go back to C since we drafted him. I think O-Linemen (and some other positions) should stay where they have ALWAYS played, especially during their college years. With that being said...I DO think we have a decent core group of guys to build off of. Eric Wood - While injured, is still our best offensive lineman. IF he comes back at least 90%, he will still be dominant for years. Like I have always said, our best option is him at center. Remember Kent Hull? Andy Levitre - He has surprised me, as I was a big critic of drafting him (and Byrd ). I think he could end up being a very good guard for many years, right next to Wood. Let them develop together. Remember Jim Richter? Richie Incognito - I love his attitude, but he has to draw the line and refrain from penalties. He was a pretty decent draft pick and has the skillset to start. I think he would round out this interior perfectly. Remember Mitch Frerotte? NASTY! Brad Butler - I have never been too high on Butler, but I love his nastiness too. He could probably work at RT, but I would rather the team go young with Bell or Meredith, or draft a new guy. Butler would make great competition to Incognito. Jamon Meredith/Demetrius Bell - I put these 2 together because I think they are pretty much the same player. However, I do feel that Meredith has more potential, but only because he was projected as a 2nd-3rd rounder. I like Bell's size and athleticism, but he draws WAY too many penalties. I think they both make GREAT projects and could be excellent utility guys at many positions. You can NEVER have TOO MANY quality linemen. (Would'nt be upset to see these guys go, but they are worth keeping around as backups): Kendall Simmons - Simmons was a former 1st rounder and was a quality started on the Steelers great line for several years. He has not looked that good, may be rusty, but I think he would be a great backup for us at guard. Geoff Hangartner - He could really help Wood along, but I dont like him as a starter. Would be a great backup. Jonathan Scott - He was thrown into the fire, but he is a veteran. Has showed that he could be a decent backup. *Like I said, you can never have too many good linemen. These guys have gotten valuable experience this year, and at times have shown their worth. I think with some added pieces, this group becomes a good one. I think we need a dominant LT (I do miss Peters, and I will never forgive the Bills for not taking Oher)...and I wouldn't mind a RT to challenge Butler/Meredith/Bell.
  15. I am sorry, I respect your opinion but I think you are wrong. He DID have some business starting in the NFL, but he does not NOW. Trent Edwards was very highly touted and was valued as a good/decent draft pick. He came out and look pretty good, and then when given the chance to start he looked great. People were touting him as a Top-10 QB in the league, and I am not talking about just fans, but real "experts." His accuracy and QB rating were excellent and he was leading us to victories in the 4th quarter of football games. He had us at what, 5-0 or something like that? I cannot believe that our offensive line was THAT MUCH better last year, than it would have been this year if it were healthy. For instance, look at the New England game at the beginning of this year. Trent, the O-Line and this entire team looked playoff bound. Something happened in the last year that turned this kid into something he never was, a weak and scared little pu$$y. His concussion, resulting a hit from Adrian Wilson? Probably. That is what I believe made him digress last year. But I think the injuries he has endured this year has scared him. He certainly could come back, but it wont be for this team. I definitely think he has more of an NFL future than Losman, starter or not. Trent is the better QB.
  16. No way will I root for JP Losman over Michael Oher. Not a chance.
  17. He is right, Watson is a LB...also, Jason Pierre-Paul fro USF has been predicted going in the 1st 3 rounds to the Fins, I doubt he drops all the way down to the 6th round.
  18. Hey Senator - Did you see Jason Peters tonight? Did you see Jason Peters, NOT give up a sack...to the GIANTS defensive line??? He is horrible. Fat and lazy bum.
  19. Give them both, AND Maybin some time...I bet they fair just fine.
  20. I really don't get why everybody keeps bringing up this statement/quote? I get that he used it EVERY single press conference, and he try to use it as an EXCUSE most the time...but, I have heard so many ELITE players AND coaches say this. It seems like I hear that EVERY week either on ESPN/News, NFL Network, the raido or on the internet in articles or videos of press conferences. I have heard both Brady and Manning say this before. Reggie Bush said the same thing a few weeks back before the New England game. Brett Favre could probably be quote saying that a few times, or twelve. Do you, or more appropriately, CAN YOU blame these guys for saying that? It is VERY hard to win A, 1 (ONE) game, in the NFL, especially these days, let alone many games or games in a row. Yes, good teams find a way to do this, but it is hard for them as well. They put in countless hours of work, physically and mentally. They work outside and inside, in the classroom and on the field, as well as the gym. There are so many factors that can change the outcome of a game. On any given sunday, any week of any month of the season, ANY team can beat their opponent. An 0-10 team could beat a 10-0 team. It is not impossible...it is hard. Just think...we COULD beat the Patriots. We have just chosen not to the last dozen times or so. But, I PROMISE YOU ALL...IT WILL HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER. I PROMISE!
  21. Watching the College Football Awards Show on ESPN, and just saw the story on this kid. His battle against cancer touches very close to home with me, losing my father to pancreatic cancer almost 2 years ago. I hope he returns to the field and still chases his dream of being a top NFL draft pick, the Bills could use him...AND his fiery, passionate attitude on the field. He seems to be quite the leader too. I will pray for him...Here's to my new favorite football player/idol...Mark Herzlich. *GO TOBY! (or Big Suzie for the Heisman)
  22. Excellent analysis and breakdown...I love the idea.
