  1. Kyle Orton? Really reddog? You want Kyle Orton as your QB? (ugh!) If I recall correctly, Boller was a mobile, scrambling QB. Obviously not like Vick, McNabb, VY or Tarvaris Jackson. But, he is mobile. I am not saying I want Boller, but since he has a connection with our new QB coach, I figured he might be worth a look as a decent backup. I would rather have him than Fitzpatrick as a backup. Pennington is washed up...he's about to lose his job to Chad Henne. I would take him as a backup though. But, he does not fit the mold of QB we need in Buffalo. He is getting older, can't move in the pocket and his arm is weak. Kyle Orton is horrible. The Broncos were riding high, due to their defense...then they fell apart and Orton looked terrible. Tarvaris Jackson is not the QB of the future for this team, let alone any other team. I would certainly take a look at him as a Brad Smith, "Slash" type player. We need a guy like that on our team. Daunte Culpepper would be interesting, but I mentioned that a week or so ago and got ripped for it. If we go Tebow, I think Culpepper would be a good mentor for him.
  2. I definitely see Schobel as a pass-rushing OLB in our new 3-4 defense. I expect him to post double digit sacks again...and I expect Aaron Maybin to surprise some people as well. If Jason Taylor could make the switch, I am sure Aaron Schobel can. Schobel is smaller and faster...so I would assume he would be better in coverage than Taylor. Schobel will be just fine...if he stays!
  3. What about Kyle Boller? Our new QB coach, George Cortez, worked with Boller at the University of Cal... ...does anybody think he would be a decent backup? I would take him as a backup...but, I want to start new/fresh at the QB position with this new regime. I think Trent Edwards could be decent, but is probably a better backup. However, he deserves to go elsewhere to try and resurrect his career.
  4. You didn't look very hard then... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...anks+mock+draft
  5. We know this doesn't happen in the NFL. So, unless this team is NOT going to be around in 5-10 years, we have to let this "football" regime build from the ground up through the draft. If Ralph knows the team will move...I still can't see him going all Dan Snyder on us, but a few guys would be possible.
  6. Get off the dude's case. He is a human, like Michael Vick...like all of us. NOBODY guessed the scores of the game, therefore nobody gets the tickets. How is he supposed to decide between the people who were "close?" He is quite the fine young man, if you ask me, coming from where he came from and all...I would be pissed off and tell somebody they "sucked" on twitter too, when they were putting out hate articles on the internet. Florio IS a d-bag anyways. Whitner is a good guy...probably does more for charity than half of us, put together... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/158537-...is-a-role-model Donte Whitner was not arrested for a hit and run, gun possession, drug possession, vehicular manslaughter, or even drunk driving. Yet he is still grouped with the players in the NFL who are arrested for these more serious violations. The favorite new statistic by news media outlets is an arrest count for the NFL. Some prominent NFL websites, such as www.profootballtalk.com, even have a count that measures how many days the NFL has gone without an arrest. (FLORIO=D-BAG!) The media will never show the upside of a player, only the downside, because that is what gets them ratings. A player's character should not be judged by what mistake he has made but rather by what he has done in his role as an athlete to improve the lives of others. Donte Whitner is the perfect example of an athlete with strong moral fiber of which can be role-modeled. Donte has not had an easy life by any means. He was born and raised on the east side of Cleveland in a much less fortunate area than what many of us were raised in. At the age of four, Donte was nearly killed after being hit by a car while crossing the road. As a result, he spent four months in a body cast and was even told by doctors that he may never walk again because of the extensive injuries to his legs. As if that were not enough to overcome, at the age of 12, Donte's father was arrested and sentenced to six years in prison. This left Donte to be raised by a single mother, and he needed to grow up much faster than those his age. As hard as life was, Whitner just used his hardship as motivation. Donte went on to graduate early from high school and was accepted into Ohio State University. At Ohio State, Donte excelled both on and off the field and decided to enter the NFL draft as a junior. He would be drafted eighth overall by the Buffalo Bills in a move that was labeled by many as a stretch; once again, this was just more motivation to Donte. Whitner has gone on to become a defensive leader on the field and in the locker room. He has been a starter for the Bills since being drafted and has lived up to the role given to him by his first round selection. But this is not what truly shows Donte's character. Donte has used his role as a professional athlete to start his own charitable foundation, Team 20. The mission statement of Team 20 states, "Our mission at Team 20 is to enrich and encourage families in impoverished communities by using education as a tool to raise awareness." It is through this foundation that Donte Whitner has made a name for himself in the Buffalo and Cleveland areas. Here are some of the notable events held or participated in by the Team 20 foundation. * Annual Cancer Strike Charity Bowling Tournament * Annual Youth Football Mini-Camp * Donating School Supplies to schools in Buffalo, Cleveland, and Ghana, West Africa * Retreats for single Mothers/Fathers * Stop the Violence Tour * Camp Team 20 * Read to Achieve * Impact Plays * Impact Families * Thanksgiving Turkey Give-A-Way seen here * Partnership with the United Way seen here A role model to me is any person in a position where they can affect others by their actions. I would definitely consider Donte's actions worthy of repetition by children or fans in general Whitner is a leader and will make a good combo with Byrd, in our defensive scheme. They will be allowed to roam their sides of the field and make plays on the ball. Whitner will improve and surprise with the help of our new defense. I like him and want him in this team. We invested too much in him. He deserves a chance with this new regime.
  7. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...-would-be-dream Wilfork wants to play for Miami. We're gonna need some stud tackles...! http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...ing-pass-rusher
  8. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...-want-tight-end If the Dolphins pick up a Jermaine Gresham, a receiving tight end who has speed...who do we target to counter that move? In the long run, we will have to do something. None of our LB's could cover a TE like that, we play them twice a year and that TE will be with them for quite a while... What 3-4 LB is most responsible for the TE? Does all of this make Rolando McClain more of a prime candidate as our #1 pick? * I have also read on there that Adalius Thomas will most likely leave NE, Peppers is done in Carolina, Joey Porter wants out of Miami, and Umenyiora won't stay in NYG as a backup.
  9. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...ing-for-shockey That Jeremy Shockey's a cool cat.
  10. I was just going to say this... The Bills NEED Wood back as soon as possible, given he is healthy and on schedule. An interior line of Levtire-Wood-Incognito, would make for a big, mean and nasty trio on the inside that would be solid for years to come. Plus, Hangartner did not impress me much against bigger d-linemen. He stayed healthy, I'll give him that, but I think he would be a better backup, along the interior of the line. Now...I believe out of Butler, Bell, Meredith and Watkins, they can find an LT/RT combo that works, and they can make do with that. Especially, if we get Michael Vick or a guy who can move out of the pocket. This would allow us to fill other needs in the draft. Free agency could bring in a tackle. But, unless we draft a rookie QB #1, we could make do. If we get a 1st round rookie QB, we need to revamp the offensive line. I also think if we get Vick, we can make do with our weapons. If we don't and we draft Clausen, we need to get him some more weapons, which creates more holes to fill. We have to fill needs as easily and quickly as possible. We now have to prepare for the 3-4!
  11. I like it! I think it's sharp looking. It won't be cheesy with ugly color schemes anymore. Super Bowl t-shirts and merchandise will be tolerable collectibles, as they won't be so ugly because of the colors. I particularly like how they will change the stadium in the background each year. So, on shirts and stuff...will the team logos be somewhere? A black t-shirt, team logos on the chest, 1 on each side...and the new silver logo underneath, with the stadium that holds it each year.
  12. I just read a map and it says there is a town named "Bear" in Delware. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&sour...ved=0CAkQ8gEwAA I read the article too, and it said nothing about what county this kid lives in. - Thursday evening Kiffin received a verbal commitment from 13-year old wunderkind quarterback David Sills of Bear, Del. - The younger Sills, who is an seventh-grader at Red Lion Christian Academy in Bear, Del., has been training with Clarkson for three years. So, I guess I would give you (bartshan), the dumbass of the day award. So early in the day too. Sorry, clown. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear,_Delaware
  13. http://www.buffalobills.com/about-us/front-office.html COACHES Chan Gailey Head Coach Bruce DeHaven Special Teams Coordinator George Edwards Defensive Coordiantor Curtis Modkins Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach Bob Bicknell Tight Ends Coach George Catavolos Secondary Coach George Cortez Quarterbacks Coach Joe D'Alessandris Offensive Line Coach Stan Hixon Wide Receivers Coach Kevin Patullo Offensive Quality Control Bob Sanders Defensive Assistant Giff Smith Defensive Assistant Adrian White Defensive Quality Control Debbie Driscoll Executive Assistant (Head Coach) And, who exactly is this Executive Assistant Head Coach??? Anybody have any idea? Maybe I will make a "wiki" for her, but I know absolutely nothing about her. Never heard of her. Anybody?
  14. I am very happy with this. I posted, about a month ago, Edwards' wiki page and talked about how he developed Stroud and Seymour...also helped Coakley and Arrington to the Pro-Bowl, as well as some others. I think his defense will be the best we have seen in a long time, but we do need some help on D to run a 3-4 now. I also think this could end up being the future head coach of the buffalo bills within time. NICE HIRE CHAN!

  16. Evans, Chambers, Hardy, Nelson, Johnson... ...THAT is a nice WR corps What say you? or
  17. Wow, that is brutal! I can imagine that caught some flak. Check out this one: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/nhl_..._to_big_leagues And THIS will probably happen sometime in the future...only the Yankees could pull it off: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/yank...ng_new_vacation HAHA...I was JUST ABOUT to post that!!! "Keith Ellison teaches Detroit Lions how to tackle" THAT was going to be my post topic! I was typing it as I saw you relied...nice catch!
  18. I heard we should know by this time next time... My bet would be that an announcement will be made on Sunday night...to TRY and steal the spotlight. However, I doubt the coach coming in, IF from 1 of the 2 Super Bowl teams, would want to take away from his teams' Super Bowl victory and success/achievement...IF his team wins. IF they don't land a guy from the Saints or the Colts, I would expect Bob Sanders to be named Defensive Coordinator.
