  1. Wrong! When did Lynch get "beaten out" by Jackson, for his job? If I recall correctly, Lynch was suspended for the first 3 or 4 games of the year...making Jackson the starter by default. Fred Jackson played well enough to the point where, when Lynch came back, the staff let Jackson keep his job because he had earned the chance to get more playing time, and he was proving to be effective. When Fewell took over, he left Jackson in because Freddie gave Fewell the best chance at winning and keeping the H.C. job.
  2. There is a reason Marshawn Lynch went to Cal (D-1) and was drafted in the 1st round...and earned a pro-bowl bid. Can't say much of the same about Fred Jackson, can ya? Marshawn Lynch is the better all-around running back. And he is what, like 6 years younger? Fred Jackson is a great 3rd down back/backup...he has nothing to offer the FUTURE of this franchise.
  3. I would rather keep Whitner and get a different QB...but if I HAVE to make this trade, I would still rather trade down and get Taylor Mays or Myron Rolle...and stockpile a couple picks.
  4. Exactly... Florence and a 3rd for Jared Gaither??? HAHAHA! That's a Madden '10 move if I've ever seen one here. Gaither is going to warrant SEVERAL high picks...TWO 1st's probably? *I DO think they WILL TRY to trade him, because they think Oher could be a LT...but it won't happen.
  5. They drafted Ron Brace last year out of Boston College. He is very highly thought of, and looked good when he played in place of Wilfork this past season, against us. http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...o&bio=33654 They also have Myron Pryor who they are high on as well. (also played against us) http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...o&bio=33661 I think they are fine at that position...once again, giving them the ability to trade a big player for good draft picks. *PAY ATTENTION BUFFALO! (if we have talent worth trading?)
  6. Indianapolis... He would fit in perfectly as a 3rd-down back.
  7. Honestly, I read about Miles Austin in a pre-draft magazine as well. They listed him as a "sleeper" pick. MY hidden gem, was believe it or not, Jason Peters. I have told this story here before. I read about him, saw him play, watched highlight reels of him...on draft day, I told my buddy I was watching the draft with, "I want the Bills to get this 300lb TE from Arkansas. I think he could be a pretty good lineman someday." I am a man of my word. I swear this on my father's grave to be true. I was pretty proud of that...and I still am, as I think he is a damn fine lineman. *And...we are STILL trying to replace him!
  8. You don't think they will target Chris Chambers...or you just left him out because you don't want them to go after him? I think out of all of those, besides Walter, Chambers is the guy I would want most. I would also really like to keep T.O. for another year, but I doubt that will happen. He does have a connection with Buddy, so who knows. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...=chris+chambers Chambers sure sounds like a fit, for relatively cheap!
  9. This is a GREAT site for all the information you need to know about the upcoming "uncapped" free agency offseason. Unrestricted Free Agents... http://nfllabor.com/category/2010-ufas/ Restricted Free Agents... http://nfllabor.com/category/2010-rfas/ *It has ALL the information, rules and regulations that apply to this offseason. http://nfllabor.com/ *ENJOY!
  10. Yes Roosevelt went to UB. Idk how someone can make a mock draft and not know where the players went to school. Another thing...Chris McGaha was NOT inconsistent. I have family that lives on ASU campus, goes to every game...and I myself have the sports package through Time Warner, so I watch every Sun Devils game on the Pac-10 network... McGaha had hands, can run routes and is one tough son of a beotch! I could see him being the next Stokley.
  11. Must be there weren't enough "Lynch to SD" threads?
  12. Sounds like Ruben Brown...he sucked too, right? We have Bell, Meredith and Watkins who can all play OT...so can Richie Incognito. We have Levitre, Hangartner, Wood...for the inside. Are you going to tell me that you don't think we can come up with a line better than last years, out of those 6 guys? IF we can't...we are going to just waste another pick and keep spinning the wheels. There is NO Jake Long or Joe Thomas in this draft. We can find serviceable OT's in the 2nd-4th rounds...we need to use our early picks on skilled players or Defense. And, by the way...did I say we WERE "SOLID AND DEEP"??? No, I didn't...!@#$!
  13. But they are improving every year... 49ers - Manny Lawson, Parys Haralson, Vernon Davis, Ahmad Brooks, Patrick Willis, Joe Staley, Ray McDonald, Tarell Brown, Reggie Smith, Chilo Rachal, Josh Morgan, Kentwan Balmer, Ricky Jean-Francois, Glen Coffee and Michael Crabtree. Texans - Eric Winston, Mario Williams, Demeco Ryans, Bernard Pollard, Kasey Studdard, Amobi Okoye, Fred Bennett, Frank Okam, Duane Brown, Xavier Adibi, Glover Quin, Brian Cushing, James Casey, Antoine Caldwell and Connor Barwin. I'd say in the last 4 years, those 2 teams have had VERY solid drafts...SF picking up Brooks and HOU picking up Pollard. (I know I missed a few key guys too...Michael Robinson and Nate Davis for 49ers...Jacoby Jones and Chris Henry for Texans)
  14. I am with ya Mr. Crack... I think we would be much better off in our new system with Daunte, rather than Trent/Brohm/Fitzpatrick. *(NHL 10 is waiting...I hope you have been practicing )
  15. That's why you build the lines and everything else this year...see what Edwards or Brohm can do with a new staff and some new pieces around them, for a year...if nothing, go for Mallett next year, or Locker...or a Free Agent. A new QB won't be able to do ANYTHING with no WR's, OT's, running game, stout defense...I don't care who we get. If Losman got as much time as he did, Edwards deserves a chance with this "new" team. We need to build the team and then find a QB who can succeed here and use his weapons. Thank you...I think we ARE headed in the right direction...but I think a 1st round #9 pick QB will waste an opportunity to gain more draft picks, and/or get a stud OT or DE/DT/LB. Yes, they did...but I think he could make a nice CB as well. But, having him as a backup FS to Byrd is nice insurance.
  16. I beg to differ... ...I think we have better options in Bell, Meredith, Watkins and Incognito...depending on how the line shapes out. We could go... Rookie LT - Levitre - Wood - Incognito - Bell/Meredith/Watkins or Rookie LT - Levitre - Hangartner - Wood - Incognito or Bell - Levitre - Wood - Incognito - Meredith I think we are in alright shape as far as the offensive line goes.
  17. I really like the thinking of this guy. Gather some picks, draft some studs, stock up on depth, get some vets - some leaders, led the 3 QB's battle it out...go play ball and see what happens. Experiment for a year. Let this young team gel. Let them learn the playbook, perfect it. Take 1-2 more offseasons to tinker with and finish the project...and go for it. These (recently new) good teams have been preparing and rebuilding for a few years now...Texans, Cardinals, Saints, Vikings, Falcons, 49ers...they have all, in the past few years, built their teams through the draft, with the exception of a few free agents to fill in pieces or add depth. (or trades, ie. Texans - Schaub) I think we have gotten some pretty good players in the last few drafts (and UDFA)...Byrd, Nelson, Wood, Levitre, Maybin, McKelvin, Corner, Lynch, Posluszny, K. Williams, Wilson, Butler, Edwards, Sanborn. (Youboty when healthy). I would like to see more of these guys. I think they're good players, who I would like to see retained...C. Harris, Meredith, Brohm, S. Johnson, Hardy, Ellis, Schouman, Whitner, Bell, Sargeant, N. Harris, Lankster, Klopfenstein... - Cary Harris showed his skill and potential with 2 ints in a game. Hailing from USC, I think he could be a good CB. - Meredith was a relatively highly rated prospect and showed he could hold his own when called upon in '09. - Brohm could end up being the next Frank Reich. Everybody knows the story on Brohm. - Stevie Johnson showed promise in '08, but didn't see the field this year. He has skills and I hope we see more of them. - Hardy was a decently high draft pick and has talent and much needed height. I think he breaks out in '10. - Ellis could prove more effective in the new 3-4 as a OLB. I hope we give him a shot. - Schouman could be a valuable utility man as a FB, TE and ST guy. He has decent hands. - Whitner is a guy everybody hates. I think he will be very good in the new 3-4, teamed with Byrd. Whitner and Byrd will be able to roam the field and make plays on the ball more often now. I think they could be a great duo as SS-FS. - Bell was thought of quite highly by many. He showed potential, but got hurt and gets too many penalties. - Lydell Sargeant could be a pretty decent CB. He showed some skill in the final game with 1 or 2 ints. - Nic Harris is said to have no place on the defense now, but somebody brought up the idea of Roy Williams as an in-the-box safety for run support. Well, what about Nic Harris playing SS like he did in college? - Ellis Lankster is another guy who showed skill, in the pre-season. He could be a good CB, but is lost in a numbers game. - Joe Klopfenstein, I think was a great pickup. He was a 2nd or 3rd round pick I believe and has good height. He has decent hands, can run routes and he can block as well. I think he would be a very good backup to Nelson. *There are four guys who we have gotten whom I really want to see and I hope they are decent for depth, to fill some holes. All of them have great size. Jason Watkins comes from U. Florida where he was the starting LT for the 2 Championships. Duncan, Harvey and Ramsey all also have decent bios.

  19. LOL Nothing could have saved the Bills. Great teams have great coaching staffs, the Bills have not...and I will wait to say if they do yet or not. I doubt they do, but I AM optimistic. I have faith in Buddy Nix. Russ Brandon? Not so much. Ben Roethlisberger would have gotten ruined here. In a way kind of like Drew Bledsoe did. And, I doubt Mike Mularkey would have used Roethlisberger properly. Mularkey was not a great Head Coach.
  20. HAHA, THAT IS AWESOME! That made me laugh out loud, very loud. Anyways...I like Bell, except for his lack of concentration, or complete stupidity, with all those false start penalties. I have said MANY MANY times here, I think we already have an average to good offensive line. Sure it is nothing great, no pro-bowlers...yet. That's the thing, they are so young that they have so much time to grow together and become a whole that works together. I am hoping that the new staff thinks this so we can spend our #9 overall pick on something else. Our interior is set...Levitre - Hangartner - Wood (or) Levitre - Wood - Incognito (my favorite!)... Then we have Bell, Meredith, Watkins, Butler...to find bookend tackles. If we go with the first choice...Levitre - Hangartner - Wood...Richie Incognito has and could play LT, or even RT. He was a 1st Team All Big-12 left tackle during is Sophomore year of college, @ Nebraska none the less. He was also shifted to center, but was suspended before he played the position. However, it goes to show that that staff, a very good college program, thought he was good enough to play center. So, we COULD have...Levitre - Incognito - Wood...which I don't mind. Then all we have to do is find tackles out of...Bell, Meredith, Watkins (my darkhorse) and Butler. My suggestions - Bell/Watkins - Levitre - Wood - Incognito - Meredith/Butler Bell/Watkins/Meredith - Levitre - Hangartner - Wood - Incognito/Butler Levitre - Wood - Incognito - Butler/Hangartner - Bell/Meredith/Watkins *Then again, IF we get Vick or draft Tebow...won't RIGHT tackle be our worry then? (OR ANY LEFTY QB for that matter?)
  21. People are really underestimating Marshawn Lynch's capability as a starting NFL running back. I would love to have Tebow AND Gerhart on the same team somehow...I think they will both be winners and good players. I really like the idea of McNabb coming here, but he would not let the deal go through. He wouldn't play here.
  22. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...101/2150324/tbd In a perfect scenario, the Bills would get San Diego's second-round pick and use one of their second-round picks on Gerhart. A Fred Jackson-Gerhart 1-2 punch could be very effective. How would people feel about that? I am not in the "Trade Lynch" campaign, but I would be alright with it, IF we DID get Gerhart. As I have said before, I think Lynch is a talented and young running back. He is a "Franchise" running back. But again, like I've said here a few times previously, I would love for the Bills (to be able) to draft Gerhart. Trading Lynch would allow, and in a roundabout way, force them to draft Toby, if not another running back. I think Gerhart, although compared to Leonard, will be more like Alstott. Which, in the end, would be better for the Bills because he could play fullback as well. My "Dream" scenario would be to trade Lynch, pick up McCluster with the 2nd we obtained, and Gerhart with out 3rd. DE or LB with our 1st and a OT with our 2nd.
  23. "HEY HEY HEY, look at my thang done goin...I gotta get one of these or somethin bra." HAHAHA!!! I LOVE THIS DUDE! http://www.weallscheme.com/2010/02/06/mars...sports-science/ .36 seconds into video.
