  1. They can't put Spiller in the game right now if Fred can't go. Have to go with Choice.
  2. He's the Redskins team doctor. I believe he is at every game regardless. He's regarded as the best orthopedic surgeon in the sports world. He doesn't seek clients out; they seek him out.
  3. bengals MO is that they are super talented but let teams hang around and their offense is too methodical and lacks big plays in the game. They have controlled the game but haven't put us away.
  4. Matt Flynn and Vince Young would be ideal longer term backups, who could push Manuel right away. But they are not long term solutions at QB. They could both come in and help win games.
  5. The first play to Chandler: Looks like a LB(#??) and a CB(#22) are both there in zone coverage, the LB looks like he is in the passing lane and 22 is there to close to his right. Stevie is 1 on 1 with a CB. You have to think that they like that matchup all day.
  6. Could be waiting on the Raiders signing Freeman, making Matt Flynn available for trade. They don't practice until Monday, I believe, so there really isn't anything that the new QB can do until then anyway. Also, whoever they bring in will be running a limited playbook which won't be much different to what we were running with Manuel at QB. IMO, our options, in order of who could win us the most games: Josh Freeman Matt Flynn(trade) Vince Young Kellen Moore(trade) Jamarcus Russel Tyler Wilson(practice squad) 1-3 are all good options in my book.
  7. With the way our defense is playing, we could definitely go 3-5 or 4-4 with Vince Young at QB over our next 8 games while Manuel is out. That is good enough to put us around .500 with 4 games left, and try and push for the playoffs. The AFC is pretty weak this year.
  8. Need to be aggresive on this drive. Get some momentum back
  9. and smith definitely says, "you better go talk to his ass to get in the weight room." wasn't stevie johnson criticized heavily for claiming on the Jim Rome Show that he doesn't work out in the offseason?
  10. and a brief google search shows that Andre reed and steve smith know each other on some level and Andre attended a charity benefit for Steve Smith's Samaritan's Feet charity back in January. And that charity had an event the Saturday before the game and its very likely that Andre was there as well.
  11. It sure looks like dehaven. He also gives a slight smile after he says "what are you looking at?" Would make sense because he would definitely know Andre on some level from the 90s. And Steve Smith may just talk like that. I don't think he was talking trash and he wasn't even really confrontational.
  12. It looks like halftime actually. The WoF podium is headed out to midfield. yeah it looks like dehaven
  13. Jags will play one home game in London for the next 4 years. Most likely more after that. Their owner owns the Fulham soccer team. They will be the London based NFL team within 10 years.
  14. Well, everyone who followed the draft for a living said that Aaron Williams was projected to play safety or nickel corner in the NFL based on his measurables and his lack of agility. The Bills of course wanted him to play outside. So do you blame the player or the team.
  15. I like the blue collar on the white jerseys. But the white collar on the blue jerseys looks strange IMO.
  16. I'm going to say it. Kudos to the Pats and Robert Kraft for cutting him so quickly. They most definitely could have cut him at a more advantageous time to alleviate the cap pressure.
  17. Does Robert Woods have character issues? Why wasn't he on their board? I think the fact that Kiko is even on their board at MLB, given that they are going to run a pure 43 cover 2 defense is a good sign that the Bills got a solid player there. Also of interest was seeing Jonathan Meeks rated as 6th rounder when everyone said he was going to be undrafted. I think it just goes to further confirm that every team rates these guys differently, and that the scouting departments for these NFL teams do in fact work in a vacuum, and are only considering what they see and observe when evaluating a player.
  18. he also didnt know anything during the donahoe era. i think ralph/kelly was his pipeline of info.
  19. yeah. the fact is that meyer was a good coach who couldn't stick with a team very long. It's funny how he basically rips the NE GM for taking Tony Eason saying that he had no input in the decision and he ends up getting bounced from the NFL basically for trading up to take Jeff George in the 1990 draft.
  20. Ron Meyer had nothing but bad things to say about Tony Eason. He was pretty rough on him even after all these years which I thought was strange considering he was not a terrible QB and had a few decent seasons in NE. I mean they interviewed Todd Blackledge who is clearly the worst of the group.
  21. Good stat research. Marino, Elway, and Kelly were very comparable players during their careers, the big difference was that Marino and Elway played 6 more NFL seasons which does boost them up the All-Time QB list. Marino and Elway have a signifiant edge as well in NFL accolades as well. Both Elway and Marino were each named league MVP once, and made 1st or 2nd All-Pro teams. Kelly never was named to an All-Pro team. During their careers, I think it was widely thought that all 3 were great QBs, but that Kelly was on the best team, Marino was the best passer, and Elway was the best all-around player. Also, you can't deny Elway's 2 Super Bowl rings and the records that Marino put up during a time when the passing game was not what it was today. And ultimately Super Bowls and records play a big part in determining where QBs rank on a list. On a side note: I thought one of the most interesting pieces of the documentary was when they were talking to Norm Pollom about the Bills taking Kelly. He said that they took Tony Hunter because they had Kelly and Marino rated very equally and knew they would get one of them with their next pick(they had picks 12 and 14). I just thought it very interesting that one of the biggest Bills villains of all time was kind of almost a Bill.
  22. Unless they have Smith, Barkley, Nassib, and Manuel all graded out the same with no clear leader of the group. If you think that each of these guys are equal as prospects and no one has taken a QB yet when you pick at 8, then it is a no brainer to trade back if its available(maybe twice if a run on QBs hasn't started). Now if the Bills have locked onto one guy that they like then you take him at 8. Get your guy and don't mess around. I just happen to think that they do not covet one player over the other and would be happy with any one of these four guys. That is why a trade back makes sense. However, it does not make sense if they are locked into 1 player.
  23. Steve Smith says hello. And DeSean Jackson is well on his way to having a great career.
